I truly loved Doris Roberts, and I might have loved Everybody Loves Raymond's Marie Barone even more. Doris had been working in Hollywood for decades, and achieved moderate success on Angie, Remington Steele and her Emmy award winning turn in St. Elsewhere. I loved thought, that was her role as Marie, a role she didn't begin until she was in her 70's, that brought such huge acclaim and success.
