Oliver Tobias: Actors & SKIN
Born in Zürich, Switzerland, actor Oliver Tobias moved to the United Kingdom when he was just eight. Almost as soon as he arrived, he began training at the East 15 Acting School, London. Tobias got his start in musicals, and with nudity, back in 1968. When he was 21, the young actor appeared in the original London production of Hair, playing the prime rebel role of Berger..
A year later, and several stage productions later, Tobias got his first film role in 1969's Arthur? Arthur? The British comedy also featured Donald Pleasence and Shelley Winters. Tobias, now in his 70's, is still a busy working actor with several new projects due for release next year.
Oliver's last nude scene was in 1986's Operation Nam. It's not an easy scene to watch, but it's a quick flashback scene.
'Caroline is to be wed to Sir Ralph and invites her sister Barbara to be her bridesmaid. Barbara seduces Ralph, however, and she becomes the new Lady, but despite her new wealthy situation, she gets bored and turns to highway robbery for thrills.'
'Tis Pity She's a Whore (1971)
'Annabella marries Soranzo, when she is pregnant by her brother Giovanni. Destiny, and jealousies will expose her past, and Soranzo broods revenge. But he is not alone in that - and death will unite all.'
Oliver's nude scene in 1971's 'Tis Pity She's A Whore' includes another nude scene not easy to watch. The film ends with a Game of Thrones style Red Wedding massacre with Oliver's character Giovanni being killed.

Oliver Tobias in The Stud
'He managed the hottest disco in town, but she managed him.'
I'm not exactly sure why, but I was drawn to DVR the CNN special Lady Boss: The Jackie Collins story. I say I don't know why as I've never ready any of Jackie Collins books. My biggest connection to the writer was watching clips of Andrew Steven on YouTube from the 1985 mini series Hollywood Wives based on her book.
I guess I have to thank CNN's promotional department, for their excellent advertising. I was especially drawn to some of the clips of Collins and the Hollywood from the 70's and 80's. I watched the documentary over a few days and was really interested in learning about Collins entry into writing and her following her sister Joan to Hollywood. Jackie's end was sad, but it was inspirational seeing how she continued to promote her work until the very end.
Joan Collins is always a kick, and she had more than a few fascinating stories to share. The one that stood out to me the most was discussing her role in 1978's The Stud. The film adaptation of her sisters novel is in many ways considered the project that saved Collins acting career, leading to her role a few years later on Dynasty. The few clips from the film shown had me interested in checking it out, especially seeing Collins co-star Oliver Tobias. Collins comments mocking the gorgeous Tobias only had me wanting to check it out even more.
Fontaine (Joan Collins) is the London wife of Benjamin, a wealthy Arab businessman. She spends his money on her nightclub, "The Hobo", and partying. She hires a handsome manager, Tony, (Tobias) to run her club, but it is understood that his job security is dependent on his satisfying her nymphomaniacal demands.
'I suppose the reason for that success was the empowerment for women – that they could make their own decisions sexually and all the rest of it. I was then labelled with “The Stud” and people completely forgot that I was an actor playing the part. They really thought that I was the Stud, but you’ve never seen me with a gold medallion or Gucci shoes or dressed up like a waiter! I’ve never been that! It was an interesting role to play and it was kind of a milestone in cinema. I’m very proud of it.'
'His face is an open invitation to bed.'
Jackie Collins, The Stud
'The orgy scene with Oliver Tobias, Sue Lloyd, and Mark Burns. We all got absolutely drunk out of our skulls. That was the only way we could do it.'
Joan Collins
In reading a bit about the orgy scene in The Stud, some have written there was more nudity, including a frontal from Tobias in the VHS release of the film. Unfortunately, despite my searching, I could only find a copy of the DVD. If anyone has seen, or has a clip of the VHS version, let me know!
Check out more of Oliver Tobias, and his on-screen skin resume in the post below:

Critical Component: Conner by Gordon Nebeker
'This was my first shoot in Gordon’s new place so I enjoyed getting to have new settings in which to work. We all enjoyed getting to throw out ideas and collaborate to make it a great shoot.'
Having worked with Conner (Texas_Phoenix) in the past, photographer Gordon Nebekerknew he not only gave it his all, he also always delivered. Conner has a incredible body and a strong face with expressive features. This makes him not only a great solo model, but also a great addition to any couple shoot. Conner has the unique ability to create heat and chemistry with almost everyone he works with. Living in Orlando, Conner was close to Gordon's home studio, and was able to get a day off a work when he received the call from Gordon.
'I always enjoy shooting with Gordon so I knew it would be a good work experience. I had never met Nico before but I had followed him on Instagram and seen his work. I usually don’t Google or do too much before to research them. I like the meeting to be genuine and to form first impressions in person. I usually ask Gordon about the other models experience in modeling. I’m not a pro by any means but it’s nice to know how much experience they have. It’s also fun to just know where they are from or what they do for a living. '
Many of you saw Conner's previous FH appearance last year on FH. (HERE:) The piece featured Conner's work with Tim, and the finished images which Gordon compiled in his most recent book, Love In The Afternoon. Gordon remembers that over their two days of shooting, Conner and Tim beautifully bonded together in the creative and posing process. Later, when Gordon finished processing the photos, he was blown away by their chemistry and the images created. It was then, he knew a book was in order. You can check out the book on Blurb HERE:
For this shoot with Nico, both he and Conner arrived around 10pm the evening before the shoot. This gave them the chance to meet and talk before waking up the next morning and getting down to business with the shoot. Conner says they clicked really well and both were comfortable with nude modeling and it was easy to wake up and get started right away. Conner also enjoys observing and learning from the models he works with. From Nico, Conner received some new tips and tricks for keeping energy in the shots, and finding new and unique poses.
'I am very proud of what we captured in the day. I always love getting in the water and so it was fun to help Nico in his first underwater shoot.'

Creative Coupling: Nico by Gordon Nebeker
'I had seen shoots done with two models and I was intrigued... The chemistry was so alive, so erotic, electric even.'
Many FH readers might remember that I'm not always a fan of couple shoots. When they're done well, they can, as Nico says, be electric. Unfortunately, many couples are shot as if they're posing for a porn flick's promotional cover art instead of a creative photograph. Those photos can be hot for sure, but don't necessarily sustain a viewers attention for long. When a skilled photographer focuses on form, and the natural chemistry between the models, a inherent eroticism occurs, leaving the viewer wanting to see more.
Nico (Calves of Adonis) began modeling about 7 years ago after making an connection with Wilmington based photographer Philip Brown. Philip noticed Nico's beautiful long, lean physique and great features and thought he'd be great for an athletic modeling shoot for his American Male series. Since that first shoot, Nico's continued to model working a variety of photographers since. Some readers may remember Nico's work with Unlimited Male which I featured last year. (Distinct Encounters)
After modeling for a couple of years, Nico decided to push his boundaries and began modeling nude. Although he was pretty nervous at first, he really enjoyed the freedom to express himself in such a provocative way. Nico was anxious to go beyond just athletic poses and express himself without the hindrance of clothing. Nico also also found that he enjoyed being in front of the camera, much like an actor on stage.
'I was definitely pretty nervous for my first shoot. At first I was determined for the shoot to be only partially nude, with a sash or small cloth barley covering me. But as we progressed with the shoot I felt more comfortable. I had worked with this photographer before and they were able to create encouragement that the shoot was going great. Professionalism was definitely a factor, but also making it fun.'
Nico first spotted photographer Gordon Nebeker's work on Instagram last summer. He really loved Gordon's use of natural light nd how skilled he was at capturing the essence of the models in front of his lens. Nico got in touch with Gordon about a possible future collaboration. Gordon liked his look and suggested they connect about a shoot once things calmed down a bit with the pandemic. They made plans to shoot in the fall, when Gordon was on route south to Florida.
'I really enjoyed working with Gordon. He was very professional and also made the shoot fun, both aspects I really enjoyed. We started off with me wearing what I had brought and then I slowly worked my way out of my clothes... ;) It was great to see the shoot unfold; he would show me the shots as we would take them and get my feedback. I really admire that. When we finished the shoot he said we would be in touch to shoot again in the spring. '
Gordon also enjoyed his collaboration with Nico, and an other shoot was planned for April. Gordon was settling into a new place in FL and was excited to try out new backgrounds and spots to shoot. Gordon says the the house has so many windows that it was easy to find that natural light that he loves to shoot with. As they were planning their shoot, Nico expressed to Gordon his desire to try doing a shoot with another model.
'I had seen shoots done with two models and I was intrigued. The chemistry in the shot was so alive, so erotic, electric even. I trusted that with Gordon's experience, he knew how well I would click with another model if I were to do a duo shoot with him behind the lens. Gordon said he found a model interested in working the weekend I would be in FL. He shared some images with me and to be honest I swooned. '
As FH readers know well, Gordon has plenty of experience shooting not only couples but groups of three and four models together during his yearly shoots in Utah. Some of you may remember Gordon's recent work with Conner and Tim, a couple who's worked Gordon commemorated in book form. (Love In The Afternoon.) Because of his previous work with Conner, (Texas_Phoenix) Gordon knew that he could count on Conner to give a 110% and knew he'd would be the perfect partner for Nico's first couple shoot.
'The boat shoot wasn’t really planned out in advance but we went for lunch and a boat ride and luckily I had my camera! Our two other boat companions didn’t complain and they are still talking about it to this day! '
'The shots on the boat were definitely fun. When Gordon said we would be among friends, I knew I could trust him when out on the boat. I feel comfortable nude, and when all eyes were on me I definitely just felt pride that I had such an audience ogling me. I know I probably sound conceited, but I am very humble. I don't usually flaunt myself. Being a model gives me the opportunity to embrace my body and enjoy the work that I have put into it through strict exercise regimen and nutrition.'
'Conner is very handsome and... well proportioned. His body type matched my own and I was excited to work with such a handsome guy. Conner and I had to get a feel for each other. Its almost like a dance, an unspoken language. How does he feel when I hold him here, how do I respond when he touches me there. For a shoot that is as intimate as Gordon wanted to produce, we really had to make these connections and stow away our inhibitions. And I think we most certainly did.
Our chemistry was amazing and we both felt right at home being naked in front of the other. It was challenging trying to make sure we were both working together. Since we were both the center of each shot, one could not outshine the other or be too showy. We had to create a good balance to sometimes create symmetry, other times create the proper angles necessary for the shoot to develop properly.'
Conner & Nico
'Truly a joy to work with - both of them! I always get this question when I show duo work and in this case, no, Nico and Conner did not know each other before this shoot. It is evidence of their modeling and acting skills that the photos look as if they had known each other for years. That, and a bit of chemistry, certainly helps!
In most of my shoots, I am usually experimenting as we go along. When I am shooting people, I am usually shooting with a mid to short telephoto lens on my camera but I deliberately tried to mix in some shots with a much wider angle lens. This creates a more environmental portrait look where the setting takes equal or greater importance to the human figure. I’m very happy with many of the shots we got using that technique. '

I've been following the work of model Xavier Serrano since first discovering, and posting about his work a few years ago. (HERE:) Xavier recently posted this hot outtakes from his shoot with photographer Valero Rioja for Risbel Magazine. If these are the outtakes, I can't wait to see the final edits and get my hands on the magazine.

Kyle MacLachlan in Blue Velvet
' I'm seeing something that was always hidden. I'm in the middle of a mystery and it's all secret.'
Jeffrey Beaumont
Blue Velvet was only actor Kyle MacLachlan's second film. His first film, also directed by David Lynch, was 1984's Dune. Give how highly Dune was promoted, and then poorly it was received by critics, some believe Lynch cast MacLachlan in Blue Velvet as a way to make up for it. This was also the young actors first nude scene, and what an epic and memorable nude scene it was...
Jeffrey can only watch as Dorothy goes to the kitchen and returns with a large knife with which she threatens him, making him come out of the closet and be an active participant in what had been, up to that point, a benign if risqué little adventure for him. By forcing Jeffrey to strip for her so she can see him, Dorothy objectifies the voyeur at the same time Lynch strips his compromised hero bare. “What do you want?” Dorothy asks once Jeffrey is down to his underwear (which, like the towel Dorothy just had on, is red). “I don’t know,” he meekly replies, remaining stock still while she slips off his last remaining article of clothing and fondles and kisses him.
Throughout this part of the scene, Lynch frames MacLachlan so the viewer only gets a three-quarter view of his behind, but when Jeffrey and Dorothy are startled by the knock at the door heralding Frank’s arrival, his manhood is exposed during his mad dash to the closet, where he watches impotently while Frank and Dorothy play out their sordid scene of depravity.
Crooked Marquee
In addition to Lynch giving us a great, and lengthy view of MacLachlan's butt, not to mention the rare frontal in mainstream movie, it was MacLachlan's look, and his performance as Jeffrey that made the scene so dangerously hot. Rolling Stone's Rich Cohen described MacLachlan as the boy next door, if that boy spent lots of time alone in the basement.
Maclachlan's Jeffery was one of the first times I remember seeing such a great blend of wholesome with kink and fetish. In most films, you could count on the boy next door being just that, but as most of us , being cut know, usually through experience... having a sweet with an innocent face can more often than not lead to unexpected trouble... With bad boys, the trouble is right there in view, with the wholesome guys, it's often under the surface, hidden, but waiting for a reason for release.
All the scenes that I had with Kyle were very difficult. We had to be naked, so we were, of course, a closed set. We had a moment that was very difficult and we asked David, 'Do we have to go that far?'" and he would say, "Yes, yes!"

Photographic Porn Stars: Ian Roebuck
Earlier this year, I posted an image of beautiful nude male model in front of a window. (HERE:) I asked if any FH readers knew of the model or photographer after I failed to come up with a credit after searching. Sometimes that happens when an image is cropped, which was the case with the image I had found and used.
Recently, a long time viewer and supporter of the site wrote letting me know the model was BelAmi model and porn star Ian Roebuck. Unfortunately, like many other adult websites, BelAmi doesn't provide photographer credits for it's promotional images. Too bad, as I really loved not only the model, but the location, and set-up and poses for the shoot. A beautiful set, a step above, many images used to promote models in adult films.
The photographer was clearly looking to capture a bit more than just Ian's body parts, but his whole beautiful body and face. The artist also captured an erotic mood, something I really liked in the original window shot that I first posted:

Casting 101
Brent
Christian
Travis
Xavier
It's clear the US version of Big Brother was watching, and learning from it's Canadian counter part. This years Canadian Big Brother had a diverse cast and crowed it's first non-white winner. I have not yet seen this summer's US version, and am not sure I'll actually have the time, but that doesn't mean I haven't noticed all the images on-line of this years cast.
Not only is the show about half people of color, there seems to be at least 2 or 3 players who identify as LGBTQ. Despite the diverse cast, those in casting still ensure to cast more than a few hunks with modeling on their resumes. Some, like Christian and Xavier, didn't identify themselves as models to their housemates, but that probably was wise. The 'self-identified' models in the past, were usually not given much respect and ejected from the game pretty quickly.

An Autumn Afternoon in Sag Harbour
'He has a pretty penis.'
Ramona
FH readers know I love featuring nude male models, art nude models, and reality hunks. So... when they all came together on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of New York, I had to check it out. I'm a few weeks behind I know, most of you enjoyed nude model Kurt a few weeks ago, but when it comes to the stunning Kurt, late is definitely better than never.
Kurt poses for the ladies last fall on what looked like a chilly Autumn day in Sag Harbour. The women's reactions were all what you'd expect, but given how crazy they can get, I think Kurt, and his incredible body, actually had them a little quieter than usual. It's no wonder, I was crushing over Kurt before Sonya even had the chance to pull off the wrap around his waist.
Kurt not only had a great body, but a beautiful smile, something he also showed off while posing. Kurt appeared professional and relaxed due to his vast experience with nude modeling and posing. Kurt tells Vulture that he's probably done close to 2500 nude modeling jobs. Many of those jobs were for The Artful Bachelorette, where's Kurt's both a favorite and muse of many.
'It was definitely not flaccid, I mean it was a nice inbetweenie.... weenie.'
Leah
'I think Heather [“Holla” Thomson] was doing really beautiful stuff. She has a good hand. Nicole and Victoria, they have art skills. Eboni did some good stuff. Leah and Ramona bailed. That is natural, for people to bow out. It’s usually because they’re holding onto something.'

Anthony: For the World to See
'I love having my naked body posted for the world to see.'
When it comes to modeling nude, it helps to have an attitude like Anthony's. Although 'reluctance' can certainly be erotic, when a model enjoys being naked, and enjoys being looked at, there can be an added level of artistic freedom and creativity. That feeling of erotic freedom is exactly what first drew me to Anthony's imagery.
The Las Vegas based model first stepped in front of the camera when he was 19, and shares that he's never had any reservations about shooting nude, or with erotic scenes. Anthony says he's actually most comfortable with shoot requiring little to no clothing.
As FH readers know, it's usually one specific image that draws to me to an artist or model and inspires me to get in touch. With Anthony, it was the image below. I love everything about the shot, from the angle, the pose and the incredible background. I especially loved Anthony's jeans laying on the ground in the foreground. For me, the image to Anthony's love of being naked, especially when outside near his home in Nevada. You can almost imagine Antony's anticipation as he got closer to his destination, and his sense of freedom when he was finally arrived and was able to rip off his clothes and be one with his surrounding.
Anthony on:
Shooting Outside:
I love shooting outdoors and the only problem I had was weather related. I did a shoot in a ghost town and the temp was 33 degrees which was fine, but once the wind kicked up I was frozen solid but still did the shoot; bare ass and all lol
Favorite Experience So Far:
My favorite experience so far in front of the camera was shooting with a female model who had never pegged a guy so she was super excited; the energy of that shoot was amazing.
'Modeling gives me a sense of freedom, to shed the confines of clothes. I've always been comfortable with my body and I love being nude; nude beaches, hiking and swinger events and resorts. I love shooting solo, but also working with other. I've received plenty of love on my shots and most of the compliments are on my ass and abs. lol'

Monumental Movie Moments: Blue Velvet
'The discovery of a severed human ear found in a field leads a young man on an investigation related to a beautiful, mysterious nightclub singer and a group of psychopathic criminals who have kidnapped her child.'
I was still a kid when Blue Velvet was released, so I didn't see it in the theatres. It was quite a few years after it's 1986 release, that I saw bits and pieces of the film when my older brother rented it on VHS. The bits and pieces I remember most belonged to actor Kyle MacLachlan. Blue Velvet was my introduction to the up and coming actor. It was also my introduction to Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and director David Lynch. The only actor in the film I was familiar with was Laura Dern. I first saw Dern a few years earlier in Mask.
For Jeffrey, the road from overgrown Boy Scout to in-over-his-head amateur sleuth starts with the discovery of a severed ear in a vacant lot near his home.
There was a pattern in my house when it came to my enjoying male nudity in the videos our family rented. I'd watch and notice it in a first viewing with my family. During these viewing, I worked hard during those viewing to pretend that I didn't notice or care. Then after, I'd find a quiet moment later that evening, or sometimes he next day, to watch again, this time alone. I don't how many movies I did this with, but do remember both the thrill I felt, and the constant fear of being caught.
With Blue Velvet, I didn't really watch the film in it's entirety. My brother was watching with a friend, and I remember coming in and out. The movies 'creepy' factor scared me, and although I think I was drawn to the films mood, I was still young enough to worry about nightmares if I watched the whole thing... Thankfully, I was in the room for part of the classic scene featuring MacLachlan and Rossellini. Check it out on the NEXT PAGE HERE:
