Camping and cats?  Believe me, it's not usually a great idea.  I've done it, but taking a house cat camping, and putting on a leash for the first time, is traumatic for the cat, and the person on the other of the leash...

A Denim Descension : Carl by Studio1x

Although photography is a certainly a visual medium, sometimes an image, or series of images, can be even hotter when you tap into some of the other senses.  I love when featuring an location shot, to know the weather or temperature.  I also love knowing if there's lot of chat between the artist and model during the shoot.

Jim from Studio1x shared that Carl was really sweet during their shoot, and talked a lot about his love for his young son.  Carl's son was actually ill when they first scheduled a time together, but Carl ensured to give Jim plenty of notice so an alternative date could be arranged.  If that wasn't enough to get your juices flowing, Jim also shared that Carl has a really sexy accent.  Although he's lived in the States for awhile, he grew up in England, and his English accent remains very much intact.

Many of you know how much I love a great reveal, and I love that Jim captured every moment of Carl slowly jettisoning his jeans.  First a bit of crack, then the reveal of his beautifully plump posterior.  Many photographers skip over the reveal, but I enjoy every image, and every moment, of Carl bending over to drop those jeans to the ground.

I'm still discussing (bugging) Jim about additional shoots, and additional reveals, so hopefully it won't be long before I have another model and shoot from Studio1x's archives to feature and share.

The Brody Boys!

Unlike the original Jaws, critics weren't kind to Jaws 3-D, and audiences didn't exactly flock to the theatre.  It's really quite bad, and appears little more than an attempt to feed of the legacy and name of the first film.  I have to say, although I saw Jaws 3 on television when I was younger, I actually enjoyed re-watching it (well, some of it) recently to prepare for this post.

Quaid & Putch

For Jaws 3, Dennis Quaid takes on the role of Mike Brody, who is in his mid-thirties in the film.  Actor John Putch plays Sean, who looks to be in his late 20's.  The movie does have a great cast which also includes Bess Armstrong, Lea Thompson, Louis Gossett Jr and Simon MacCorkindale.  I've previously featured Simon, and some of his nude scenes on FH (HERE:)

Gorp (1980)

Dennis Quaid is probably one of the most well known actors from originals three sequels. Unlike the 4 actors who played the Brody boys in the first two films, Quaid came out of the film fairly unscathed. It certainly didn't hold him back, but it also didn't really add anything to his film resume either.  I've featured many of Quaid's nude scenes on the site before, but I don't think I ever featured his first nude scene, mooning in 1980's Gorp.

I wasn't really familiar with actor John Putch until seeing him in Jaws 3.   Although Putch continued acting consistently in film and on television, he moved behind the camera and has mostly focused on directing the last two decades.  Although you may not know his name, you most likely know his work.  Putch has directed multiple episodes of many popular TV shows including; Scrubs, The Middle, Black-ish, Cougar Town and American Housewife.

Putch in Jaws 3-D

Although Putch has never done a nude scene, not that I could find anyway, he and Lea Thompson did take a dip in their undies for a scene in Jaws 3.  They were discovered however, not by a shark, but by big brother.

Mitchell Anderson

The last in the series, 1987's Jaws: The Revenge is a strange film.  There was a clear attempt to go back to characters and relationships which defined the original film.  The results however, were not really that compelling.  Choosing to focus the story around Ellen Brody (Lorraine Gary) didn't really make the emotional punch the writers may have hoped for.  Ellen was great as a supporting character in the first two films, but the character, and the actress, were not really strong enough to carry a film.

The movie also made some really strange choices.  If you haven't seen the film, or plan to, beware of spoilers ahead.  We learn early in the film not only that Chief Brody has died, but they stupidly choose to kill off Sean as the shark's first kill.  I get that makes it personal for Ellen and Mike, but it just seemed like a silly decision.  Actor Mitchell Anderson appears briefly as the ill fated younger brother Sean.  You can check out my Actors & Skin post on Anderson HERE:

Lance Guest

Lance Guest is the last actor to take on the role of Mike Brody.  Many know Lance from his films from the 1980's including his turn in Halloween 2 and his starring role in 1984's The Last Starfighter.  Lance's performance in the forth film saves it a bit for me, and the film is at it's best when it's focus is on Mike.

Guest was a fixture on television and in movies during the 80's and 90's, but his career slowed down in the 2000's and 2010's.  Although Guest hasn't worked much in the last four or five years, he is currently filming the psychological thriller Altered Perceptions due for release next year.

Guest and Mario Van Peebles

Sadly, there is little to no skin in Guest's cinematic resume that I could find.  He did however, look incredibly hot in Jaws 4, especially with his curly hair and beard.  He was shirtless and sweaty several times in the film, the most skin, I believe the actor's shown on screen.

'The shoot was amazing and its definitely something I've always wanted to do.'
Carl

We all, from time to time, think back to past loves, past passionate relationships, past holidays and past loves.  For this post, I went back to Valentines 2020 and Jim from Studio1x and his work with Carl.  Some of you may remember Carl from the holiday, and especially the seductive way that Carl enjoyed and devoured his Valentine candy. (The Sweet Spot and The Creamy Filling)

Jim's shots of Carl licking, tasting and swallowing his holiday chocolates was visually orgasmic, and Carl was definitely a model I wanted to see more of.  Carl's great face, tight body and magnificent member were certainly memorable, and Carl was at the top of the list I sent to Jim earlier this year.

Regular readers may recall that Jim moved earlier this year, leaving his long time studio and moving from his home on the West Coast to a new home on the East.  Although Jim is used to capturing the heat, especially in his studio, but as many of us know, the heat and humidity in the South East has a very very different feel, and a different impact on both the mind and the body. .

Jim is still settling in, and still working on a new studio space, one with air conditioning of course!  In the meantime, he agreed to go back into his archives to satisfy my constant cravings for content and some of my favorite models from his portfolio

I knew that Jim had brought Carl in specifically for a Valentine's Day shoot and wasn't aware they shot several themes during their shoots together.  These shots are some of my favorites from their work together.  There's nothing hotter than a good looking guy in just a white t-shirt, and a great fitting pair of jeans.  Of course when you have a body like Carl's, it's inevitable, that the tight t-shirt must eventually come off.

As for those jeans, well thankfully, they come off as well.  Check out part 2 of Jim's work with Carl, minas the pesky clothing, on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

'There is a creature alive today which has survived millions of years of evolution...without change, without passion, without logic. It lives to kill. A mindless eating machine, it will attack and devour anything. Try to imagine meeting the Devil...with JAWS.'

I've written before about my love for the movie JawsJaws was one of my dad's favorite movies and was one of the few movies (on VHS) that he owned himself.  I remember watching it for the first time as a kid in the eighties. My dad stuck in that VHS tape one Saturday night but I didn't last very long. I watched for the first few minutes then ran off to bed terrified by Chrissie's doomed late night swim and the loud screams and gurgles as her life came to a brutal end.

That scene, and her screams stuck with me and led to many nightmares and sleepless nights.  It also led to my obsession to finish watching the movie.   I did so a few weeks later, by myself this time, but not at night, but on a sunny Saturday afternoon.  I'm glad I did as the film has become one that I pull out ever summer or two to re-watch and enjoy.  The story, the music, the dialogue is always breathtaking and enjoyed, even with repeated viewings.

My enjoyment may in part have to do with that first five minute viewing with my father.  It also has to do with the way the movie was filmed.  I am not a fan of green screen, and love watching, and loved reading about, the making of the film.  If you're a Jaws fan, I highly recommend reading Jaws Memories from Martha's Vineyard, an amazing behind the scenes book by Matt Taylor.

Jaws (1975)

Given it's shark week, I thought it the perfect time to take another look at the film, this time, with a focus on The Brody Boys.  Mike and Sean, the sons of Ellen and Chief Martin Brody were a part of all four of the Jaws films.  The brothers begin as children in Jaws with Sean being about 5 or 6 and Michael being about 12.  In the twelve years between the first and last movie, the boys are aged quickly with Michael being in his late 30's or even early 40's in Jaws: The Revenge

I began this piece by looking for some artwork, and as usual, I conducted some strange searching on Google.  The original posters for the movies mostly focused on female victims.  Poor Chrissie was skinning dipping in the original movie poster and a bikini clad water skier was front and center in the Jaws 2 poster.  Given I was focusing on the Brody's, and because it's FH, I was looking for a hot guy in the water.

Various searches for 'nude male shark attacks' and 'hot men with sharks' didn't really lead to much....  It wasn't until I added searched for 'gay shark attack' that I found the movie the poster featured at the top of this piece. I immeateatly headed to IMDB to look for the movie and how I might watch.  I quickly learned the poster was an art piece and movie parody by GWA Art & Design, who generously supported my using the artwork.   Someone should though.. make that movie!

Roy Scheider

Back to the Brody's, I began searching for a bit of info for the 4 actors who played Sean and the 4 actors who played Michael.  Two were quite famous and went on to long careers, but for several of the young actors, playing one a Brody came with costs. In the original film, the sons of Roy Scheider were played by Chris Rebello (Michael) and Jay Mello (Sean).

Steven Spielberg & Bruce the shark

Neither boy had ever acted before and like many of the supporting cast of the original film, were locals, with little to no acting experience, hired for the film. While both had little screen time, Michael's scene in 'the pond' was for me, one of the films most powerful moments.  In addition to being incredibly terrifying, it also made it personal for Chief Brody to hunt down and kill the shark,

Jaws was the only film and only credit for both Rebello and Mello.  Although both went on to appear at various fan and autograph events, neither worked in the business again. Sadly, Rebello, who went on to marry have three children, died in 2000 from a heart attack while deer hunting with friends.  He was just 37 at the time.  Mello, although still alive, has had several brushes with the law including being charged with lewd contact with a child, and later for breaching behaviour for behavior described as 'creepy' by students at the college where Mello was working as a janitor.

In the Pond

'Aw, dad, the pond's for old ladies.'
Michael Brody

Although the sequels were not generally well received, I actually enjoyed Jaws 2 with a recent reviewing of the film.  Many of the actors from the first film return with actors Mark Gruner and Marc Gilpin taking on the roles of Michael and Sean.  I was crushing over Gruner after first seeing the film and did a small post on him on the site back in 2015. (HERE:)

Mark Gruner

Sean was given little to do in Jaws 2, but Gruner as Michael was heavily featured.  As adorable as Gruner was, Jaws 2 sadly marked both his only feature film, and last professional acting credit.  Although he appeared in several television shows prior to getting the role of Michael, it didn't prove to have any positive impact on future role. Gilpin continued to act, mostly with television guest appearances, but he too left acting in the late 1980's.

Check out more 2 more Michael's & 2 more Sean's, including actors Dennis Quaid and Lance Guest from Jaws 3& Jaws 4, on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Woody:

I was never really a huge fan of actor Woody Harrelson, especially his movies.  Although I remember going to the theatre when I was a teenager and enjoying Doc Hollywood and The Cowboy Way, his career sort of exited out of my orbit after that.

I did however crush over Woody, Woody Boyd that is, on Cheers.  Woody Boyd was adorable, and it was Woody (and Lilith) that had me watching Cheers during it's later seasons.  Now this post didn't really come about from thinking about old episodes of Cheers, it came about after seeing an image of the Cheers cast partying that someone posted on Twitter last week.

SNL

If you scroll down to the last image, you'll see a shirtless Woody, partying hard with Cheers co-stars Ted Danson, along with an also shirtless George Wendt as well as Brandon Tartikoff, who was the president of NBC for a decade from 1981-1991.  Woody looked so yummy, I had to share the image.

Fifty-Fifty Carla
(1990)

Although it's easy to find shirtless shots of Woody Harrelson, I was curious if there any shirtless shots of Woody Boyd.  It took awhile, but I did find some.  In the season 8 episode Fifty-Fifty Carla, Woody indeed has a short shirtless in suspenders scene behind the Cheers bar.

In the episode, Woody gets a role in a local production of Hair.  Nervous about appearing fully naked on stage, Woody turns to Frasier for advice.  Frasier suggest Woody start slowly, taking off one bit of clothing at a time while working to get used to being nude in front of strangers.  As you can see, Woody shirtless behind the bar brought him a few extra tips.

Party like it's 1999 (well, maybe 1989)

FH Flashback:
Originally posted on August 27th, 2017

I sometimes wonder if someone stumbles upon a post in FH in the future will context matter? Will they just look at the model and see a vintage dated image. Will the naked man in the image, and artist behind it be considered in conjunction with changes in media, the ever changing progression of photography and the happenings of the time.

Will they consider that while that naked guy posed in front of camera, Trump was horrifying the nation with hate and division, Games of Thrones was the talk of TV, Carrie Fisher had died, Brad and Angelina were history, Prince Harry hadn't married yet and opioid crisis was only fraction of what it would eventually become...

One of the reasons I love looking back to images of the past is context. When Champion model Darryl Powers posed on the beach, it was during the decade that Kennedy was assassinated, The civil rights act of 64 was signed, The Vietnam war was in full swing, Rolling Stone Magazine hit the stands and Julie Andrew's The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins were both box office hits.

I first noticed Darryl when I was putting together a small piece a few years ago about some of my favorite Champion models. (Champions) Darryl had a great body, but it was his face that had me sticking away an extra image for a future post. The image I stuck away was the shot (2 above) of Darryl in the row boat.

Darryl rowing naked was hot, but it was the shape of his nose, and especially his beautiful lips that really struck me. I came upon that image again the other day, not in that long deleted folder, but on Pinterest. I was able to find quite a few more great shots of Darryl, most of them, taken on the beach. I wasn't however able to find out much about him.

I would guess that if alive, Darryl would be in his early to mid 70's and would love to know if the man, photographed naked on the beach when Kennedy was President, is still alive and kicking. I am guessing many of the Champion models did not use their real names, but would be curious if anyone knows more about Darryl and his life beyond the beach.

Kiddie Pool: Nicolas by StudioMGphotography

'Not only charming and funny, Nicholas is also an awesome model. If he didn't live across the country, and about to move abroad, I'm sure I would have a new muse!  He is truly a wonder in front of the camera'.

Full credit for today's cooling off theme goes to StudioMGphotography.  After Mark sent on a few shots of Nicholas (@Nickwithmuscles) in the watermelon kiddie pool, I knew everyone would want to cool down a little with ultra-hot Nicholas. Prior to the shoot, Mark was trying to think of themes and concepts that would create images new and unique to Nicholas' portfolio.

The watermelon pool and toys were ordered and on the way when Mark found out that another photographer had already but Nicolas's hot body, in pool of cool water.  Instead of scraping his plan, Mark focused on shooting him from above and creating shots different from the other shoot.  Mark could have put him in the regular pool, but not only is Nicholas not that great a swimmer, it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun!

'The whole Kiddy Pool theme was the smallest part of our 2 days of shooting and 5 locations. It was a bit of a throw away concept since our goal was just fun and goofy. We had spent most of the day hiking and shooting, and were just back at the house for 90 minutes so he could pack, then we'd stop at the gym on the way to dropping him at the airport. We squeezed the kiddy pool in though!! And he looked darn hot while cooling off! '

Nicholas's hot look reminded Mark a bit of actor Henry Cavill.  Nicholas' charm and enthusiasm for the work also evoked memories of Bond, another model Mark had really enjoyed working with (HERE:)  Bond is also a FH favorite, thanks to the many shoots I was fortunate to have featured from Wes from New Manhattan Studios. It was Wes who first introduced me to Bond, and who also first connected Bond with Mark.  Given that Nicholas was on his was to NYC to visit friends, Mark returned the favor, and connected Nicholas with Wes for a shoot while in New York.

With a full day of shooting, Mark captured many different themes and in so many different locations.  I'm hoping a book might coming in the near future so we can all enjoy more of Mark's work with Nick and his muscles!

Too Darn Hot!

I'd like to coo with my baby tonight
And pitch the woo with my baby tonight
But brother, you fight my baby tonight
'Cause it's too darn hot

In the 1953 MGM musical Kiss Me Kate, the song Too Darn Hot is sung by Anne Miller who plays Lois Lane.  In the original stage musical however, the Cole Porter classic is sung by Paul.  Paul is a fairly minor character in the show, the dresser for the character of Fred, the lead of the show.

Back when I was a teenager, I played Paul in a summer theatre festival and sang 'Too Darn Hot' at the beginning of the second act.  I remember that there was no air conditioning in the theatre we performed in, and although I was 'misted' before every performance, we didn't really need it.  I work black pants with suspenders and no shirt.  I didn't need to be 'misted' to look hot, everyone on stage, and everyone in the audience, was already sweating from the heat and humidity.

With the current heat waves rotating throughout North America, I thought FH needed to help everyone cool off just a little.  I don't have a pool, but I live just a few minutes from a lake, and about 20 minutes from the Atlantic.  When I need to cool down I usually head to the shore where it's usually about 10 degree's cooler.  Now I'm not sure whether these images will cool you off or heat you up, but either way... hopefully you'll end up a little wet....

Roy Mayh: The Mod, His Bod, & A Very Hot Rod

When it comes to the male form within art, regardless of an artist's focus, the penis must be addressed. Is it revealed or concealed or part of a visual game of hide and peek?  In my experience, lovers of the male form are perfectly fine with not always seeing the full Monty, but they don't really liked to be teased.  Some photographers treat the penis the same way Lucy treats that football and as well all know,  that doesn't end well for Charlie Brown.

With most of my favorite photographers, the penis, although important, is but one part of the form in focus.  This is exactly how I felt when I first discovered the work of artist Roy Mayh.  When I first saw Roy's work on Twitter, I was struck by both the men he chose to shoot, and the compelling approach he took with each model and with each induvial shot. I slowly began to scroll down Roy's feed, stopping, enlarging, and enjoying each image. While the artistry remained consistent, it was clear that Roy approached each model, and each shoot, with the goal of bringing out something visually unique with every one of the men in front of his camera.

'I always admired the visual presentation of the male physique in Greek/Roman sculptures and that naturally led to live figure drawing and then photography. My philosophy is to create an image that stands above the everyday 'hustle and bustle' of our hurried lives since we all carry more beauty than is noticeable in every day. '

When it came to his work with Rod, there was no need to conceal a thing.  The only thing covering Rod's rod was the room's natural light and the stunning shadows created by the structure of the window.  There was so much penis in fact, that Roy worried the session might be too 'dick heavy' for a FH feature.  As you clearly see, that wasn't an issue for me, I loved Roy's series with Rod, and especially liked how that window light glistened over Rod's skin and cascaded over every inch, and every part, of his beautiful body.

Rod wasn't the least bit shy about having his penis front and center in every images.  As a straight porn star, his penis is the main attraction.  Rod knows his audience, and his body, and has no problem cutting to the chase stripping down and getting hard as soon as a photo session begins.  Rod's shoot with Roy was actually scheduled between his video work and rod had to be at the ready for the entire day.

Because he was between video shoots, Roy only had 30 minutes to shoot and create.  Rod had already done a full video shoot in the morning, and had another schedule for after his shoot with Roy.  Roy was actually  a little worried that Rod might get little to tired after such a hard day of work, but Rod was extremely confident and assured Roy that he could keep things solid and camera ready as long as he was required to.

'No worries, that's why I work in porn.  Everyone I work with today will get the full Rod.'
Rod

Rod shared that his ability to sustain and maintain is one of the reasons he got into the porn business.  Rod actually holds down a full-time day job, but thought given his sex drive, that porn would be a great second job and an great way to make some additional income.  Rod is a professional and treats both of his careers with respect and care.  There is one main difference however, one which actually brings balance to Rod's busy life.  While his day job often brings the build up of stress and pressure, his second job is a perfect form of release, and a great way to blow off steam.

Peter Porte: Overdue

I've had a file in my FH folder named Peter Porte for over a decade.  I first began to crush over the actor and former model after his far to short stint as Ricky Williams on The Young and the Restless.  Sadly, and stupidly, the show didn't realize they talent they had on their hands, and killed off poor Ricky, by a shot from his father, after only a year.

I've followed Peter's career, but somehow missed most of his television appearances.  I caught him on guest stints on Parks and Recreation and Mom, but was never a regular watcher of Baby Daddy, Living With Models or the other shows he appeared on a semi-regular.

I planned on doing a 12 Days post after reading about his gay themed Christmas movie, but some how managed to miss it.  I also tried to watch Peter in last year's Beyond Salem, but couldn't really get beyond enjoying Peter's shirtless scene. The cable Day of our Lives sudser was a little over-the-top for me, something I should have known given it also featured Lisa Rinna.

I'm also struggling a bit with Peter's guest shot on the new Netflix show Uncoupled.  I want to watch, I'll try to watch, but I have to push  myself given how much Neil Patrick Harris bugs me.   Harris is a celebrity I wish I enjoyed, but let's just leave it at.... I don't.

I did however, find out that Peter only appears in episodes 5 and did turn on Netflix and skipped to catch Peter's sex scene with Harris.  As I said I've been following Peter for awhile and I believe this scene is his first official nude scene.  Hopefully he'll do more, we always knew he had an incredible chest and stomach, but his beautiful beefy butt is equally as appealing.
