Raditty In Red by NICKET

'When I was in high school I used to freestyle and rap to myself and only he kind of knew. One day he comes up and says "from now on you'll be known as Raditty".

It was two years ago, in June of 2013 that I first featured the images of 21 year old San Francisco model Raditty (From Now On...)  Radomir, now known as Raditty, has such an engaging presence in front of the camera; energetic and playful and impishly sexy. I am not sure how often impishly sexy is used to describe a model, but with Raditty it is definitely a high compliment!

The first time I featured Raditty on FH, I included a several of my favorite images from his work with NICKET. Last month I was fortunate to again be able to feature imagery from NICKET in Free Like A Bee...  NICKET's work with Zach Clemons proved to be one of May's most popular posts!

Nicholas (NICKET) has shot Raditty a couple of times, and there was a wonderfully massive selection of great images to choose from. This beach session, Raditty in Red, stood out to me as deserving their own focus. This was the second time artist and model had worked together and Nicholas reports it was Raditty who recommended this particular beach as it was his usual place to go sunbathe. Nicholas likes to support models with bringing their own clothes they love to wear to use with shoots.

'It worked out great with Raditty, besides all his swimwear he also brought along this nice red fabric that went with his shoes and swimwear. I was not quite sure how it would look but then Raditty just started going for it with a nice streamer effect, then the red turban look and finally just the matching fabric and shoes.'

It's that time of year again, time for one of my favorite events of the season, Broadway Bares! Once again this year, Broadway Bares kicks off with a pre-show, Broadway Bares Stripathon taking place this Sunday night in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City! The 9:30pm show is already sold out, but head on over to the main Stripathon site as there are still tickets left for the midnight show!

Some of my favorite men of Broadway are singing, dancing and of course stripping at this Sunday's event! Here, I am featuring some of my favorite Hunks of Broadway, all of whom I have featured over the years on the blog. Although you might not be able to make the show, you can still donate to the great cause until Friday Night.

Aids is not over and each of these talented performers have been pulling out all the stops for donations to support the cause.  Some, like Ricky Ricky Schroeder (currently touring the country with Kinky Boots) and Mark MacKillop are releasing images to temp people for a vote. Mark has been releasing some very hot shots on social media including some never seen before shots, including a few from his recent book, Rm XIV. The great Dave August is even promising to send on a link to his 2011 solo strip on Fire Island. I have made a couple of donations, but check out some of the men below and consider making one of your own!

Brother VS Brother

Jonathan and Drew continue their head to head battle as they each flip an entire house in Las Vegas. This week's challenge is to completely makeover the kitchen, dining room and laundry room, and the loser has to bare it all in a strip show on the Strip.

Three is something something endearing and sexy about The Property Brothers. Drew, and for me, especially Jonathan, have an enjoyable presence that has had me watching far too many home make overs. I am not loving their new Vegas inspired show Brother Vs Brother, I think I liked it better when they worked as a team with new home owners. But... the show has continued to tap into one of their appeals, with new show shows stripper challenge.

Jonathan (yeah!) lost, making him the one to step on stage with the other members of the all male revue. Sadly the teasers and commercials were hotter than the actual show itself, but I thought some of you who didn't watch might like a peak at the results from the second episode.

Twist Of Fate: Koyote Howels by Pride of Paradise

'Koyote would love this! He was such a cool guy. A great person to know and work with. He had so many idea's for location and posing.... light and shadow. He was an avid sexual swinger and Had a love for pleasuring both women and men.'

One of the things about doing anything over a long period of time, is the relationships that you form. This Autumn, FH will enter it's 9th year. In those nine years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many photographer, models, actors and artists who have shared their work, and as importantly, their stories with myself and the readers of the FH. Those relationships have become essential to the longevity of the site. Although I love featuring new artists, it is particularly satisfying when an artist that I have featured once, is satisfied enough in the results, that they put their trust in my ability to respectfully present their work and stories again, and sometimes, again and again.

The inevitable downside of building relationships is loss. Loss is something many of us work so hard to avoid, yet ultimately cannot escape from. In the last nine years, there have been about a half a dozen photographers, and several models and performers that I have featured, whose life and work was sadly cut short. A remember particularly two artists, who during their worst of their illnesses, were sending images, and thoughts about their work from their hospital beds. Death, just around the corner, seemed to propel their desire to have their work chronicled, and remembered.

When I first approached Michael Deer of Pride of Paradise Photography, about featuring his work, he had two models in mind that he wanted to feature, Bill and Koyote Howels, aka Joe. I decided to start with Bill. I loved Michael's Little House on the Prairie inspired post. The images were unique and creative, sexy and a whole lot of fun. (Little Clothes On The Prairie)

Michael also wanted to feature, and pay tribute to, his work with Joe. Joe had been one of Michael's favorite models to work with, and sadly, Joe had died just last year. After seeing Michael's images of Joe, I knew at once, I wanted to share their work together. I began with Bill frolicking on that Prairie as a way to introduce FH readers to Michael and his work. It felt right, maybe oddly as a way to earn the privilege of being able to feature today's images and memories of Michael's work with Joe.

Artist was introduced to model in 2011 through a photographer friend of Michael's from Texas. She loved working with Joe and had shot him many times. Joe lived just outside the Bay area in Northern California in the city of Livermore. 'I was not sure if he was fooling with me or not... he had the highest pitched voice of any adult man I had ever met.' It ended up that Joe had throat cancer operations that had severely effected his voice.

Joe posed for Michael three times since that first meeting. In between in each shoot, Joe had to undergo more operations to deal with this cancer. By the 4th, and final shoot, his voice was barely a whisper. For this last shoot, Joe had brought along support, Sara a very close friend of his. They started with a solo shoot with just Joe, then a couples shoot which ended up in a very erotic and intimate shoot with the two of them. 'It was great fun.... Joe loved the results.' Below is a copy of the last email Michael received from Joe after sending him the images from their 4th shoot.

'Michael! I'm doing great! I know I've told you before but I really love YOU and your work...these are wonderful! How are you doing?'

Michael received that e-mail from Joe on February 21st 2014. The next communication about Joe received, almost two weeks later on April 4th, came from Sara. Joe had died. People always say, live for today, anything can happen. We truly never know what's coming tomorrow. This is of course especially true for people dealing with cancer or any life threatening health issue. The unexpected piece about Joe's death, something to me beautifully ironic, is that it wasn't cancer that ended Joe's life.

Sometimes cancer doesn't win, no matter how much it tries. Sometimes fate decides to slam cancer, ridding it of it's power. Joe, who clearly took incredible care of his body, was riding his mountain mike in the foot hills around Livermore. Joe was hit and killed instatnly by a car as he rushed through an intersection. He died, at the accident site on April 3rd, 2014. Those who loved and cared about him, including Michael, were glad, even comforted a bit, that Joe died doing something he loved and not from the cancer that he lived with and fought, for so many years.

'I love the image below.... Joe on the flying carter with the genie bottle. It was the only time I used the leather.... and I gave it to him as a thank you gift.... it fit him well.'

Acting His Ass Off:

Everyone who has studied theatre, knows versatility is essential. One must be able to play a wide variety of characters. Great actors, especially those in the theatre, must be able to morph into roles in both comedy and drama. Shakespeare is mandatory and one week you might be Hamlet, the next week, you're playing Bottom from A Midsummer's Night Dream.

Speaking of Bottom (s), great actors also know how to act with every part of their bodies. It is not just your face and voice that convey's a characters's essence and emotions, it is how you stand, walk and move every single part of your body.

Facial expressions, body movement and hand gestures though important, may not be as crucial for some roles as an actor's ability to portray different characters and emotions with their buttocks. For some actors in particular, ass acting has been turned into an art form. This past television season, Welsh actor Iwan Rheon provided a master class for young actors with his impressive skill with butt emoting.

In this season's Game Of Thrones, Iwan's impressively portrayed Ramsay Snow's sadistic and evil side with a tight, pursed and clenched backside. Contrast with his role of Ash in Vicious, where in the show's most recent episode, Iwan let his ass open up and be free, moving about the dance floor with lightness and humour. Truly a display of ass acting worthy of some sort of award... If, they come up with a show for these awards, I promise great coverage!

Hot Chick? Forrest by Showoff Models

With so many relationships, both personal and professional, beginning on websites, it is pretty common for models and photographers to connect on-line. Model Mayhem and various social media websites provide perfect places for models and artists to share their imagery. Forrest, however, wasn't exactly looking to model when he place his ad on the net. Forrest was travelling alone to San Antonio and decided to post an ad seeking a hot chick to hang out with while in the area.

Now.... most young guys looking to hook up with hot chick might not be overly thrilled getting a response from a gay male photographer, but when RJ from Showoff Models responded to Forrest's ad, the then 22 year old, was rather intrigued...

RJ thought thought Forrest was perfect model material, so he contacted him asking if he'd be willing to do a shoot. RJ was managing a hotel at the time, so was able to work out an arrangement putting Forrest up in a hotel for a week in exchange for the shoot.

'Forrest was very charming, funny, and very flirty. He could make you melt with those eyes. I was actually drawn to that shaggy hair of his. He was not at all shy about the shoot.'

The first image of Forrest that I saw, was the second to last image at the bottom. Although I am not always a huge fan of tats, Forrest wears them well! I love how RJ captured Forrest's skin and the colors of his tats in the natural light coming through the window. As RJ mentioned, Forrest has the most beautiful blue eyes and his hair is incredible. Forrest has an amazing body and a great face, looking especially beautiful in some of the profile shots RJ captured.

'I'm really a novice, in my spare time photographer. Not really looking to go pro or anything like that, but just really looking to have fun with this. I've been doing this for about 3 years off and on, but have just recently begun taking it seriously in the last year. My goal is to do some work with some of the up and comers on the site to gain some more experience, and to get someone started on their path to some of the more established photographers on the site.'

Given this was Forrest's first time modeling, he looks incredibly comfortable and natural in front of the camera. RJ did a great job in creating a complete portfolio for Forrest. In addition to the nudes, body and fitness images, they also shot a variety of clothed looks, underwear and fashion focused images on the streets around the San Antonio hotel. Forrest clearly enjoyed his first shoot, so much so he asked RJ for a second shoot.

If you want to see more of RJ's work with Forrest, you can click on Showoff Model's on-line portfolio featuring close to 300 images (and 2 videos) of his work with Forrest.

Homo Erectus

I was a little worried walking into Jurassic World this weekend. I loved the original but the reviews I read were not overly kind. I really enjoyed it. Non-stop action for pretty much the entire two hours and the criticism thrown at Bryce Dallas Howard was highly exaggerated. Both she and Pratt were fine, especially given it was the dinosaurs, and the special effects that drove the film.

I love me some Chris Pratt, but it was not he who got me all hot and bothered as I sat in my seat in the theatre. I initially felt a little pervy lusting after actor Nick Robinson, but he was so incredibly adorable, I had to just go with it. Thankfully, a quick IMDB check let me know he was 20 so at least my lust was legal. I was just a year younger than Robinson when I headed to the theatre to see the first Jurassic Park and I remember it vividly. Unlike the films two squeals, Jurassic World brought back the magic, mystery and wonderment of that original film.

Robinson has a big career ahead of him I am sure. Besides being incredibly hot, he also a talented actor who has honed his skills in Disney movies and as a regular on Melissa & Joey. Look for Nick in two more upcoming films being released within the next year!

Favorite of The Five: Jimmy

Given there have been five seasons already, I know I arrived late to the party. Sometimes arriving late though, has it's benefits. A couple of weeks ago, when away for a meeting, I was stuck in a hotel room for the night. Thanks to Showtime on Demand, I decided to spend my evening with a group of Gigolos.

I really hadn't had much interest, the few previews I had seen didn't exactly have me salivating to watch. Although I like reality competition shows, I tend to hate reality shows which exploit emotions and relationships. Gigolos proved a nice diversion for that hotel evening though. There was something very interesting about briefly following the lives of the five Las Vegas gigolos the show focused on. The women, and couples who hire the fab five are a fascinating lot, and after seeing, and meeting some of them, it is clear, that beyond the fun and the sex, this is also a job. Out of the five, only two really appealed to me. Brace and Vin did nothing for me and despite a hot body, Nick (why must every reality show have a talentless wannabee singer...) was not all that.

That left me interested in Stephen and Jimmy, the two who from a quick IMDB search, must have left the show shortly after the season 1 episodes that I watched. Jimmy waas the most intriguing to me. All American face and that killer jaw line. Dazzling eyes and charisma. Yet... beneath the package there was a complex, even a little tortured soul. Jimmy seemed uncomfortable with his role on the show, maybe because he did have a mildly successful acting career on the go before joining the reality show.

Above: Jimmy by April Greer

I didn't realize I had actually featured Jimmy on FH in the past until doing a quick google search. I featured Jimmy in a short post featuring Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! in 2008 (HERE:) and I used a great image of Jimmy in his green undies from the incredible Michael A Downs (HERE:) in 2009.

From my google search, it seems life hasn't been all smooth sailing since leaving the show. Accusations by an ex-girlfriend led to a charge which was eventually dropped after she was accused of falsifying a police report in another matter. Jimmy continued to act on stage, in commercials and with small parts CSI and The League and Jimmy continues to model when opportunities arise.

Unlike shows like American Idol and The Voice, Gigolos isn't really a stepping stone unless you're next step is nude modeling (Nick in Playgirl) or porn maybe. It is very difficult to shake the label of gigolo and slide back into a legitimate acting career. In hindsight, it may have been wise to ride it out and stock away as much cash as you can. Hopefully Jimmy can find the right role to help him transition as he has something to offer, it is just a question where he will fit in best.

Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild!

'The thing was, though, that they shot all the nude scenes first—so we didn't have that much time to think about it. The only time you could really think about it was when we were sitting in the wardrobe room—well, I guess there wasn't much of a wardrobe, was there? [ Laughs ] That was the most nervous I was. However, the more we talked about the technical aspects, the less nervous I was. I didn't have time to think about being naked with 10 people in the room, and it helped that we broke the tension by making jokes. Actually, I think if I had done an explicit scene with a woman, I would've been a lot more nervous, I would've chewed a lot more gum and my hands would've been shaking.'

Photoby010: Static & Flow

-Static-

'I like to keep things simple, clear and focused on the object so there had to be less accessories and a great way of using shadows and light.'

One of the most difficult, and enjoyable, tasks of working on FH is choosing which images to use for each piece. When not using just one model or shoot, usually, I try to choose images that fit a specific story or theme I want as the focus. With Patrick, from Photoby010, I could not let go of two contrasting themes that I felt weaved beautifully together.

It might partly be the date... Although summer officially began a few days ago, it has been cold and rainy here since season kicked off. Although most of us think of heat and beaches when we think of summer, I also have vivid memories of playing games inside, especially when on vacation, on cold and rainy days. Games usually come down to the static; games we play while sitting still, Monopoly, Clue, Chess or cards. Or games with movement such as Twister, Tag, any type of race or sport.

I think my favorite games however, were the ones that included moments of intense movement, balanced with moments of absolute stillness. There was intensity and dramatic tension to these games that I was reminded of when spending time with Patrick's work. Remember those moments playing games like Simon Says when you had to concentrate to remain static until you were sure the task was truly from Simon. Hide and Seek is probably the best example. A game where remaining quiet and still is as important as knowing when to switch to an energy burst to get back to home base.

Patrick heightens the dramatic tension with his use of darkness and light. There is a fascinating, and erotic, vulnerability created by focusing light solely on the naked body of the model. Surrounded by darkness, the models specific pose, either in stillness or movement, is crucial as there is no where else to look, nor nothing surrounding him to provide contrast or distraction.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Flow-

Although his full time job is that of a real estate manager, Patrick considers his photography a great way get out all off the stress that his job can bring on. Patrick lives near Rotterdam in The Netherlands and although just 28, has spent pretty much all of those 28 years with a camera in his hand. Like many artists, Patrick's first subjects were nature and architecture. Patrick had a desire to express himself differently, to do something different than he saw in most of the commercial work around him. 'I often go out with the camera for a walk and see the great, small things around and it's awesome. A couple of years ago I rented a studio, but for now I have my own business with several high end studios in it.'

In his quest to create something new and different he began focusing on the male form a couple of years ago. Many photographers I have featured have talked about their passion for the male form and their decision to make it their focus. Patrick had a slightly different way to express this that I found interesting. Not only does Patrick love the male form, but his goal is not only capture it physically, but to somehow tap into both the physical, and as importantly, the psychological power, great images of the male form can hold.

We all remember vividly those first visuals of the male form we saw growing up, and how they became permanently imprinted in our minds. I will never forget seeing an copy of People Magazine sitting in a pile of old magazines at a flea market when I was 7 or 8 years old. Christopher Atkins and Brooke Shields were on the cover and although I couldn't afford to purchase that pile of magazines, the power of that image impacted me enough to steal a copy I found in a dentist's waiting room about a year later.

Patrick says he lucked out the first time he shot his first nude model. The model was very experienced which helped make the shoot comfortable. Patrick also spend a lot of time discussing exactly what they both wanted before hand, so there were not surprises that popped up during the shoot.

Patrick reports finding models isn't difficult, the hard part is finding just the right model. He understands not every model wants to work without pants and is very flexible when it comes to working slowly with models who are nervous or inexperienced. It is important for him that all his models are comfortable with the process, and much of this occurs by putting in the time before a shoot, discussing with his models every aspect of the shoot to ensure they are comfortable. But... when it comes time for that actual shoot, Patrick believes just diving in is the best way to work on those nerves...

'Some photographers begin with clothed or underwear shots. I like to start shooting right off the bat with the full frontal naked shots. Working this way, the potentially scary part is gone right away, taking away the nerves immediately and making the remainder of the shoot much more comfortable and relaxed.'

Although I understand it, Broadway Bares is a worthy fundraiser, the day after on-line coverage hasn't been nearly as exciting since they clamped down on spectators using their camera's to take pictures and videos. In addition, some of my favorite BB reporters (DavidAsset) no longer attend, so it has been more difficult to get great videos to link to and share.

That being said, I am on the case. Some of the most talented, and some of my favorite theatre hunks (whom I profiled HERE:) were there, and thanks to social media, many of the performers have posted images from the show.   Below is a short piece of returning favorite Nick Adams from the show.
