Up in Arms: JaylenB by Lights On Studio
'Just give Jaylen a suggestion and away he goes!'
Whenever I feature the work of Tom Nakielski from Lights On Studio, I know I can count on a beautiful blend of colorful lush locations and elegant masculinity. Tom often shoots his models surrounded by visual grandeur, and you can sense the feel of the environment soaking into how the model he is shooting moves and poses in front of his lens. This was certainly the case with Cleveland model JaylenBwhose poses perfectly match his sultry surroundings.
Tom first saw the 23 year old model on Model Mayhem. New to modeling, Jaylen only had done only one previous shoot before working with Tom. Tom describes Jaylen as a natural and completely comfortable in front of the camera. Tom had to keep reminding himself this was only Jaylen's second shoot as he went with every suggested pose, and then some, making them his own. From the start of the session, Tom says he knew it was going to be a great shoot.
'Jaylen naturally has the posture and grace of a Greek statue. His toned body, taut abs, handsome looks and graceful comportment make for a sight to behold. I was in photographers heaven throughout the session.'
I was especially impressed with how naturally, and seductively, Jaylen positioned his arms. I have seen many images with models who seem to struggle with arm placement, especially when starting out. Arms are often the last part of the body put into position, and many model struggle to create arm positions that look natural and not stiff or awkward.
There were so many, and such a beautiful array of images that Tom sent on featuring Jaylen's arms positioned about his head, a theme was born. Not only is the pose incredibly sexy, but also invites the viewer towards Jaylen's beautiful face and gorgeous brown eyes.
Female models are often shot with their arms above their head, to position their hair, or portray a sultry inviting 'come hither' look. Not all male models can pull off the pose as well, but it is perfected in Jaylen's hands, and arms.
'I have tried similar poses in the some home with other models but non came through as Jaylen did. He has an innate ability to make every pose a natural beauty. I was so thrilled with the first session that I invited Jaylen to come to Lansing for another shoot.
'I didn't think it could get any better than the first session but to my delight he performed like a pro. Am now working on a third session in the near future. I am working on some ideas and can't wait to see how he comes through on that session. Is it obvious that I have found my muse?'
When not in front of the camera, Tom's muse describes himself as usually silly and goofy and the comedian in the group. When it comes to his fitness and his work however, Jaylen is ambitious and always up for learning new things. The aspiring new model brings a positive energy to any new project he takes on, and loves collaborating with new photographers and rising to the challenge of creating imaginative and dynamic imagery.

12 Days: Michael C. Maronna in Home Alone

Home Alone has become one of those holiday favorites, a film so many watch each and every year. I remember liking Home Alone when I saw it in the theatre as a kid, but it isn't a movie I would call a favorite. I like the beginning, I like the end, I like the heart tugging moment when the old man next door gets a Christmas visit from his son. But... the middle with Kevin, (Macaulay Culkin) battling the bumbling burglars, was always a little boring to me.

I always thought Kevin's family was the most interesting part of the movie, and they were only used to set up circumstance and story for Kevin. I would have loved more John Heard and Catherine O'Hara and the rest of the MCallister family. There were a lot of siblings and cousins in Home Alone, and if you only watch once or twice, they most likely all blended together. Gingers usually always stand out to me, and Kevin's older brother Jeff, although only in a few scenes, was noticed by me the first time I watched.
Jeff was played by actor Michael C. Maronna. Home Alone was Michael's first movie and after his time in Home Alone and its sequel, Michael went on to a successful career as a child star for five seasons in Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete & Pete. The show centered on two brothers, both named Pete Wrigley and their family and friends. Michael played one of the Pete's, the other, played by actor Danny Tamberelli. The show became a cult hit for many, and Michael and Danny are still working together, currently in a weekly podcast, The Adventures of Danny and Mike.
Maronna also appeared in a number of other television shows and movies, most notably 40 Days and 40 Nights and Slackers. Although he continued to act, Maronna moved behind the camera, working as an electrician on various TV shows and movies including; Sex And The City, Ugly Betty, Nurse Jackie, The Normal Heart and most recently on the Jennifer Lopez drama, Shades of Blue.
Although still a ginger, I wonder if any of the actors passing by Macronna on set know he was a part of one of Hollywood's biggest hits in the 90's? Most likely not, but if it were me, I would ensure to drop into the conversation with Miss Lopez while setting up the filters for her lighting.

12 Days: Sam Page in Mr. Christmas
The first time I took notice of actor Sam Page was back during his time playing the perfectly named character 'Stone Cold Fox Boy' on the show Popular. Although he was shirtless, and wet from the shower, Sam's winning smile is most definitely one of his sexiest features. Sam's talent and smile went on to appear in film and on television in shows which included; Desperate Housewives, Greek, American Dreams, Mad Men and Switched At Birth.
This year, Sam took on the role of Tom in Mr. Christmas (The Perfect Christmas Present) To be honest, it was Sam's presence that had me tune in, but the movie and story wasn't strong enough to hold my interest all the way through. It did inspire me however, to hunt down some shots of Sam for a 12 Days piece. While looking for images, I was surprised to learn Sam appeared in The Brotherhood, by David DeCoteau, a director known for shedding the clothes off the actors he casts.
It is not surprising, Sam's role in The Brotherhood is not widely known. First off, the movie's initial title was 'I've Been Watching You'. Secondly, Sam was credited as Nathan Watkins for the film. Although DeCoteau did eventually show a bit of nudity, The Brotherhood was filmed during the time they were still trying to market his films to a mainstream audience, hiding the fact they were aimed mostly for a gay audience by adding one female cast member, and featuring her on the movie's DVD cover. Sam did however, have a 'brief' homoerotic scene in his white boxer briefs.
The only other skin scene I could find was his role in the 2006 TV movie 'Filthy Gorgeous'. I tried all my usual haunts to find a copy of the film, to download or buy, but without any luck. Thankfully, my go to site for clips, Scenes of Male Skins, had a clip, a piece of which I included below. The clip is longer on the site, but I like the scene with Isabella Rossellini giving Sam the 'once over', taking a peek down his undies, then determining he badly needed a little ass waxing.

Erotically Seductive: Shawn Andrews by Stephen Kahrs

The purpose of great art is to communicate. To provoke an emotional reaction from the viewer. When it comes to imagery focused male form, there is also a second, but equally important goal. if the viewer feels a connection to the model, to the image and artist's work, an added bonus occurs when the viewer's reaction is not only emotional, but physical as well.
I have been featuring the work of Connecticut photographer Stephen Kahrs since first discovering his imagery in 2012. In the over two dozen pieces we have worked on together, the focus has varied. Stephen has shot a lot of models looking to break into the industry with fitness and fashion as the focus. Every so often though, Stephen works with a model whose goal is to provoke desire, erotically seducing the viewer with both their eyes and their body. As Stephen noted, model Shawn Andrews has the eyes down pat, but he also has the most seductive way of posing and the incredible curves he creates with his body. With Shawn, it is not as much about how much you see, but how much you want to.
I first noticed Shawn's eyes, and his curves, back when I spotted his images on model Mayhem and featured his work on FH in 2015. (Only Young Once) Stephen too noticed Shawn on model Mayhem and luckily, happened to live close to where Stephen lives and works. Stephen reports that Shawn was receptive to working together and they were able to easily schedule a shoot. Stephen was unaware of Shawn's work in the adult film industry when he first contacted him, but Shawn's experience and professionalism made him a natural in front of the camera, allowing Stephen to capture some beautifully risqué and iconic images.
'Having experience in the porn industry as well as experience dancing, Shawn was a natural in front of the camera and helped create an amazing body of seductive images that should make any gay man immediately grab themselves in pleasure. His eyes, along with his boy toy looks and charm will seduce many a daddy into a self satisfying moment!

Instagrams that Inspire: Donta Norman
'Why Not Laugh About It?'
Many FH readers might remember Donta Norman from my 2015 feature on his modeling work. (Putting On His Best Smile) Like most of us, Donta is on social media, but unlike many models, his main focus for his Youtube and Instagram page is not to promote his modeling work. Donta uses his Model Mayhem as the main showcase for his modeling work, saving his other social media pages for more personal focus.
As we all know, news and politics has funnelled it's way into every aspect of media, especially on the net. I don't follow stump in the White House on Twitter, and get annoyed when others that I follow re-tweet his crap. I try schedule when I am going to focus on the 'real world', and hate when it bleeds into the time I want to escape and focus on more pleasant and worthy subjects. I avoid friends on social media whose pages have turned into places which only regurgitate the latest headlines.
Donta too was also looking to create a place, a safe space where talented human beings don't have to worry about racism and hate, being judged or ridiculed. Donta's Black & White themed Instagram is a place for smiles, his Youtube, a place for laughs. No hate, no politics, no putting others down. Although we can't totally escape the realities of the world, in order to stay mentally healthy, we certainly need as many breaks and vacations as we can possibly get!

Chest & Nuts: Nick by Richard Rothstein

Earlier this month, I featured Richard Rothstein's fetchingly festive shots of Nick. Richard had one of Santa's hottest helpers assisting with his holiday and tree decorating. (Santa's 'little' Helper) Now, being the 22nd, the tree is trimmed, the halls are decked. Time of Nick, to take it easy and relax for a long winter's night Lucky that Richard has so many luxurious nooks and cranny's for an exhausted elf to take a well earned siesta.
It should not surprise you that Richard has plenty of mistletoe in every room of his home. Its not, as is usually done, hung in a door or entry way though... Richard leaves it lying around, so it's easy to grab when needed. Not sure, (ahh... yes I am) that Nick is doing it on purpose, but he seems to be seductively placing his mistletoe in area's on his body we would all love to kiss.
As the long winter's night progresses, Nick becomes restless, and his Christmas sweater (s) quickly become too itchy and hot, and it's time for skin to meet the faux fur on Richard's throw. St Nick would love a little something to nibble on, but Richard's cupboards are bare, well except for a bag of Chestnuts he bought to string on the tree.
Nick didn't really have a craving chestnuts, but he did find a way to put them to good use.

12 Days: Callum Alexander in My Christmas Prince
A shame watching tweet from Netflix is the only difference between their A Christmas Prince, and Lifetimes The Christmas Prince. Lifetimes's prince is played by the perfect profile and photogenic actor and model Callum Alexander. Now granted, I have not watched the Netflix movie, nor been introduced to it's prince, actor Ben lamb, but Callum, in his first professional acting role, was royal enough for moi.
Christmas TV movies often are fun to watch for many reasons, one of them, to see the former TV stars they often add to the cast. My Christmas Prince reunited a Hardy Boy with Nancy Drew by bringing together 70's teen idols Parker Stevenson and Pamela Sue Martin to play the parents of Samantha, the object of our Prince's desire. Lifetime also wisely got our model Prince shirtless for a long, needless but beautifully gratuitous shirtless scene.

12 Days: The Men of Christmas in Evergreen
Christmas TV movies as we all know have a formula. In addition to usually being set in a small town, a town Santa usually oddly hangs out in, there is usually always a romantic triangle. The current boyfriend, usually vapid, cold or without the required amount of Christmas spirit. Then... there's the new guy. Adorable, frequently widowed with an much to adorable child in toe. In most cases, there is really not competition, we all know, and hope, the female lead will choose the new guy by the end.
With Lifetime's Christmas in Evergreen, I wasn't. Now I love me some Teddy Sears, but his widowed single father, although sweet and adorable, was a bit bland. Now I know that was the writing, Sears has sizzled on countless shows, but I was rooting for the guy in the female leads rear view mirror.

Marcus Rosner
I hadn't seen or heard of actor Marcus Rosner before seeing this flick, but I will certainly be keeping an eye open for his future roles. Incredibly sexy, Rosner had me hoping there might be a switch up to the usual formula. The Canadian actor has had recurring roles on UnREAL and When The Heart Calls, as well as guest shots on Arrow, Supernatural, Once Upon A Time and Mistresses. Marcus drew my attention in every scene he was in and hopefully we will be seeing much more of him in the future.

Candy Cane Lane: Brandan by Sudio1x

Many of us remember getting those tiny candy canes wrapped in plastic when visiting Santa at the mall. At home, there were larger versions, decorating the house and the tree. Just thought of a place named 'Candy Cane Lane' brings up sweet and sticky Christmas thoughts. You can just imagine the white, red and green wrapped streets on candy cane lane, and the houses and storefronts, all lickably sugary sweet.
Speaking of sweet, Studio1x's Jimrecently headed out Candy Cane Lane to shoot Brandan, one of the most popular, and well liked and licked, residents of the lane. Jim and Brandan had been planning a shoot for awhile, but due to both of their busy schedules, they were initially thinking it would happen after the holidays. The tentative plan was a January date, something winter themed, with Brandan wearing, and un-wearing, a selection of warm winter sweaters.
'Last Sunday, Brandan texted me a photo of himself from a store. He was shopping and trying on sweaters for our up coming shoot. It ended up that we were both free that day so we decided at last minute to go ahead and do the shoot that day.'
Jim says that although it's been cold, on the day they shot, the temperature was up in the high 40's with a bit of sky. The warmer weather made it a bit easier for Brandan to wear pretty much nothing except his winter sweater and the rain created a darker, more wintery atmosphere and look. There was only about an hour between Brandan's call to Jim, and when they met up on Candy Cane Lane to shoot. During the hour, Brandan headed home to pick up an array of props and accessories for the shoot.
Everything used, and everything you see in the images, were items that Brandan brought to the shoot. Jim shares that due to the last minute planning of the shoot, all he had time to bring was his camera. He was pleasantly surprised when Brandan showed up with a suitcase full of things to incorporate into the shoot. Although I usually don't like, or post, cropped images, with Brandan, and the shot below, you'll see why I made an exception.
