A Touch of Frost by msbimages
'I went into modeling with the mentally that I had to take everything off.'
When photographer Michal Booth first saw images of 18 year old aspiring model Frost, he knew he couldn't pass up doing a soot. If you follow FH, you know that Michal is one of my favorite artists to feature. His stunning imagery being the main reason of course, but the Dallas photographer's ability to discover and shoot new and breathtaking models in another. Sometimes working with models on their first professional shoot can be a challenge, but Michal says that Frost is incredibly smart, focused and more mature that your average 18 year old.
Frost's shoot with Michal was not only his first time modeling, but his first time taking it all off for the camera. Although initially nervous, Frost knows what he wants, and is focused on his goals. It also didn't hurt that Frost was used to stripping down in front of other guys in the locker room having spent most of his life playing sports. Sports may have helped Frost develop his lean physique, but there is also a natural confidence that exudes from his beautiful blue eyes.
Michal beautifully captured that confidence and maturity. Michal also captured Frost's sensuality, and though this may have been first time in front of the camera, his relationship with it, and the viewers on the other side, is already skilfully strong and intense. Michal and Frost have already shot twice, a third in the planning stages. These images are from their first session earlier this spring. Given my curiosity about firsts, I through Frost some question. Frost shares what initially drew him to modeling, what it was like shooting naked for the first time, and how fortunate he was it was with someone as helpful and professional as Michal.
Who or what got you started with modeling?
One day I was bored watching TV. I started to wonder how does one get into working in porn or modeling. After some internet research, I posted a resume on sexyjobs.com
What has been your favorite experience modeling thus far?
I really enjoy the travel. Getting to see new places is great when you haven't seen much.
Any odd or strange stories from any shoots?
I've only just started, and I've only worked with one photographer so far. So none yet!
Any strange offers or requests based on your on-line profiles?
I was once asked if I ever been pegged in the ass by a girl. I thought that was the funniest request ever.
Did the response from friends/family enter into your decision?
My roommate encouraged me to do this. Mostly because it was good money lol.
Was your shoot with Michal you're first time shooting nude?
Yes, in fact it was my first shoot ever.
On a scale from 1-10 how nervous were you going in?
9, it was very nerve wracking. However, Michal was very easy to work with and walked me through it.
How did you connect with Michal, and did you lay out any boundaries, or want to stick within your comfort zone?
I was ok with everything Michal requested of me. After awhile we began talking as friends! He's a great guy to work with especially if ours you're first time. Michal contacted me through sexjobs.com and it went from there.
What was the shoot like, any comments/thoughts on the process?
It was awesome. Michal has a great style, and is full of ideas. He definitely captured what he is after in a shoot.
Do you have a favorite image from the final shots Michal sent on?
Of course! I particularly love the final bed shoots.
What part of your body are you most happy with? What part gets the most attention from others?
I believe most people enjoy my hair. My favorite part must be my stomach.
Where do you think your confidence to model comes from?
Growing up in sports and taking showers with other men everyday. Must of made me pretty comfortable nude. Once while showering in the locker room the fire alarm went off. I grabbed a towel and ran out the building towel flying and everything haha.
Why do you think you like modeling?
I love meeting new people and the travel. Meeting with Michal i gained a friend which is awesome!

Uncredited
Although Clint Eastwood's Magnum Force was filmed and released in 1973, the character titles for many of the uncredited role were better left off the closing credits. Along with Pool Girl, played by the then unknown Suzanne Somers, there were also characters titled nude girl, girl by pool, black man, black dude and tall thin man. Although he looks in his late 20's or even early to mid 30's, Robert E. Simpson had the uncredited role of nude boy.
It's always fascinating to learn how certain roles are cast, especially non speaking nude roles. I have read some interesting stories about how extra's are cast for group nude scenes, especially recently in HBO shows like The Deuce and Westworld. Can only imagine how the football players/dancers were hired for their nude shower scene in The Best Little Whore House in Texas.
Last week, TCM aired Magnum Force, the 1973 sequel to Dirty Harry. The filmed involved a sun glassed wearing serial killer / motorcycle cop. About half way through the film, drug kingpin Lou Guzman (Clifford A. Pellow) is involved in what looks like a threesome with who appear to be a female and a male prostitute, both beautiful blondes. The rendezvous has, as expected, a bloody ending with every angle of the threesome shot with the female (nude girl Debra A. Estok) flying from the hotel's balcony.
Robert E. Simpson looked familiar, I was sure I must have seen him in other roles. He has in fact no official movie credits, only the uncredited role of nude boy in this film. Had me wondering if I could find out about his casting. Sometimes, for non speaking nude roles producers or casting directors, find people in different places, want ads, in gyms or through modeling agents. There was virtually nothing about Mr. Simpson, or his hiring on line except for his signed contract.
There were several contracts for the uncredited roles in the film on an auction site I found and it appears Mr. Simpson made about $200 for his role in the film. (possibly $400, but I doubt the scene took more than a day) If anyone knows anything more about the casting (by casting director Nessa Hyams) or what happened to the hot blonde 'nude boy', shoot me a line.

#Notanlines
Given his career as a model, especially one who worked for Abercrombie, Michael Mealor is familiar with being asked to disrobe. I first featured Mealor on FH last month when he made his debut in Geona City. Since then, the producers have thus far, kept his slim fitted suits tightly on. This week, starting with a Memorial Day BBQ, they are wisely rectifying that situation.
From the preview, it looks like Mealor's Kyle Abbott will be out of his clothes... a lot. A #notanlines campaign will not only get Mealor out of hist, but his pants as well with what looks like an unfortunate bathing suit malfunction. Given it's a daytime soap on CBS, there are limits of course to what can be shown, but our imaginations can do the rest.

Yoni Baker: Sculpted
First 3 images Below:
Yoni by Balm in Gilead Photography, Retouching by Christa Maier
One of the highlights of 2015 on FH was being able to feature model Yoni Baker in a series of pieces featuring his work with YogaBear Studio. (Check the out HERE:) With is incredible physique and both elegant and powerful poses, Yoni was perfect illustration of all we imagine and dream about when contemplating the perfect embodiment of a Classic Greek God. Yoni not only possess the strength and athleticism, but also the spirit. There is timeless quality about Yoni, most notable in his eyes, that make's it easy to feel he just stepped out of History or Greek Mythology book.
Since first posting about Yoni's work, I have been enjoying following him on Facebook and Instagram. Although Yoni shares tons of modeling images, I especially love when he shares the process piece of his work. As an art model, Yoni frequently works modeling for artists and classes and in addition to sharing some of the finished pieces, shares the journey to their creation. Earlier in the spring, Yoni began posting images for a new project, an 8 week sculpting class for LCAD. (Laguna College of Art and Design)
I got in contact with Yoni about a story about the project. The length of time meant you weren't just posing naked in front of a group of strangers, but people you would be seeing for long hours on a weekly basis. The degree of intimacy and relationship between model and students is altered, especially given Yoni shares that each class period were six hours long. Yoni generously shared some of the details, as well as some process shot, from the 8 weeks. But... before staring with Yoni's current project, I was curious if he could share a little about the very first time he dropped his robe for a room full of artists.
'I had been emailing and calling all over town for a chance at a first gig. I finally received a call from Jesse in Costa Mesa. Location 1980 . I was truly excited at first, but as the day crept closer I became a bit more nervous. My partner Kim was at work and I had begun to get what I thought was antacid... I went downstairs and drank some milk to calm the stomach. However this didn't work very well and things got worse. There was a pressing pain in my chest and I swore my left arm went numb! As I stood there having my "heart attack" I wondered who I should call to say my farewells (I know a bit dramatic) but decided to call Kim . She said relax its just an anxiety attack! As those words traveled the line to my ear the pain subsided. Congratulations my first real anxiety attack lol'
'I had about an 1.5 hrs in the car to get to the gig in that time I calmed down quite a bit. Once there and changing out of my clothes and into my rob I thought what the hell am I doing, who does this?? haha but as soon as the robe came off the first time all that disappeared and now it was all about what I could create on stage. From the very start, it was never anything sexual and I ever had any incidents . Everyone was very professional and it became about the art and the artist, and what they could learn from my posing and my body anatomy.'
Speaking of what they could learn, in addition to studying the details of Yoni's anatomy, the California model also demonstrates the art of the pose. With an extensive background in art and its many different forms, Yoni has put together a artistic anatomy pose book, Heracles. In the collection of images, Yoni brings forth a study and narrative of the classic male musculature. The three images at the top of this piece are from Yoni's book and you can see more on Yoni's site HERE: or check out the book on Amazon HERE:
'For the 8 week class, instructor Brittany Ryan would go over class material, and as the sculpture progressed, she would go over specific anatomy (relating to that day) Brittany would help make the armature for all the students and we would discuss pose options with the class. In this case we rigged up an elbow support to make it more dynamic. Students rotate with the sculpture stands every 5 minutes as it is always important to focus on the figure as a whole and not get to fixated on one spot, especially when its in the beginning stages and they are blocking things in. Since they rotate that gives me a chance to "break the pose" and move. As with most model sessions they are broken up into 20-25 minute sessions with a 5-8 minute break. However the way I was able to break helped me put more energy into the pose. (As time goes things tend to start hurting such as the hip, feet etc)'
'There are few models with my build. With that, the students get a chance for an anatomy lesson and create a sculpture in 5-8 weeks. I sculpt a bit myself, so its always great to be in that environment. Its always a physical and mental challenge to stay in the pose especially late into the night. I'm always hungry and am eating all the time lol, so I pack a big lunch in Tupperware to fit into an over the shoulder soft cooler. With all the food I also make sure and drink lots of water and stay hydrated. Being a model is a physical job but I also need good music and in my case the ability to be a chatter box with some of the students. (Over time we develop relationships especially if I model for them a lot) I feel in my case things ride on the models ability to interact.'
'It's a very fulfilling "job" and I get to interact with creative people who for the most part want to be there. I can help them on there journey to becoming a better artist. animator. illustrator etc . This is not for everyone, but I am all about pushing the artist, and joining the instructor in the lesson plans.'

Fine Art: A Vintage Vantage
When it comes to art models, if there's a naked body in the image, it usually draws focus. When it comes to vintage shots of art models however, my interest was with the artists. As many stories as a naked body can tell, a clothed one can often tell more.
It is fascinating to see how well dressed the art class attendees were in days gone past. Jackets and vests, dresses with full collars. I imagine these classes were the social event of the week requiring artists to wear their finest outfit to draw, paint or sculpt someone in no outfit at all.
The naked human body has been in the inspiration for art going back to early Greek and Roman sculpture. There was a decline during the dark ages when artists were threatened with death for partaking in what were at those time, devil painting parties.
Thankfully, Renaissance artists brought it back, creating many of the classic nudes we still study today. There was another dip during the puritan period, but in most parts of the world, (still slow to change in the US), the naked human body is at the core of many art forms.

Art Buff
'Being nude in front of one person isn't too daunting, the reality of being nude in front of a dozen or more was a different proposition.'
Skyclad Modeling
Since beginning FH, I have been fascinated by models who have the balls to pose in a room full of artists. I have written about the subject many times, (Disrobed) and love to explore it whenever I feature a model who posed for an drawing, painting or sculpture class. I think the fascination with art class modeling comes down to the level of vulnerability and control. Not everyone is willing nor able to relinquish control.
I remember streaking with three of my friends late one night when in my first year at University. It was nerve racking but also an adrenaline rush. I had the comfort of not being alone, there were three other bodies to distract attention. I could also cover myself with my hands if I felt too vulnerable, and the run across the science center's front lawn, although it seemed much longer, took about 20 seconds. I can't imagine if I had to stop mid run, stand still for hours with my hands off my crotch for all to view and judge.
I think it's that judging that causes many to keep their pants on. When modeling nude for one person, there is of course a level of vulnerability, but you usually have the ability to keep your eyes on the person who's eyes are on you. The person is also most likely an artist or photographer who chose you for a subject, hopefully meaning, they like what they see.
When in front of a classroom full of artists, it is impossible to fully view all the views coming your way. For some, this experience would be worse than death, for others, it provides that same rush I felt running across the grass.
Writing about model Yoni Baker and his experience posing for six hours at a time, fully naked for a sculpting project, had me thinking about the many images of art class models I had saved over the last few years, looking for an opportunity to use on the site. I thought today was a perfect day to use them. If any FH readers have ever posed in front of an art class, or ever been an artist in a class with a nude model, shoot me an e-mail, love to hear, and maybe share, your story. Favorite Face of the Day: Holter Graham
'The magnetic Holter Graham...has developed from a nerd into a hunk.'
The New York Post
I'm not sure actor Holter Graham was ever a nerd, but he certainly has grown into a incredibly hot and talented actor. Last week, I re-watched a bit of Maximum Overdrive, a movie I first saw when I was just a kid. The Stephen King flick reminded me of my childhood crush and marked Holter's acting debut as Deke, one of the survivors after a comet caused the earth's machines to turn on, and attempt to kill off the human race.
Maximum Overdrive (1986)
After his big screen debut, Holter began working steadily on the big screen including roles in two John Waters flicks, Hairspray (1988) and Cry-Baby. (1990) I remember really crushing in 1996 when seeing him Fly Away Home. Holter was incredibly sexy with his long hair as Barry Strickland, one of the friends helping Jeff Daniels and Anna Paqin to get a flock of Canada Geese on their migration path.
Holter on left in Hairspray (1988)
Holter went on to appear on film, as well as appearances on television in shows including roles on Damages, Law & Order, Rescue Me and Army Wives. Although Holter continues to work steadily as an actor, he has also made a name for himself, a big name, as a audio book reader. Holter has been the voice of many successful audio books by authors like Nicholas Sparks and Maximum Overdrive author Stephen King. One of his biggest sellers thus far has to be last year's Fire & Fury by Michael Wolff.
'As Read by Holter Graham, Trump's speeches acquire a new, comic resonance.'
Raincoast Books
Fly Away Home (1996)
In 2010, Holter was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Holter documented his journey through the disease, and his successful bone marrow transplant in an incredible blog diary entitled I have cancer; what's your excuse?. Through the diary, Holter shows he is also a gripping writer his honest and raw account of his experience. The image above comes from Craig LaCourt for Holter's On the Real appearance. As you can see from one of Holter's latest headshots below, Holter is looking both healthy and incredibly sexy.
Below: Holter with Adrien Brody, Norman Reedus and the cast of Six Ways to Sunday (1997)
Spin the Bottle (2000)
I think Holter's only nude scenes were in the 2000 film, Spin The Bottle. In the film Jonah brings 4 childhood friends together he has not seen in over a decade. His goal isn't to reunite, but to get revenge and a game of spin the bottle leads Jonah to hook up and have sex with two of the friends, one female and one male.
Holter has quick butt flash as he jumps in the water in a love scene with Ted, played by the adorable Michael Riggs. I could not find a copy of the film to buy, but a 'so so' copy is available on Youtube HERE: Riggs also has a brief butt flash when he goes skinning dipping near the beginning of the film. The film was a bit drawn out, but Holter made it easy to see why the friends were so drawn to Jonah.

Visions & Views: Kyle by Richard Rothstein
'Of all of the features that make for beautify in both men and women, nothing speaks like the eyes; and Kyle’s eyes are beyond description. Lost in them. Windows to the soul. Deep dark pools that seduce and compel.'
Given my passion for windows within art, it shouldn't come as a surprise that I instantly fell in love with these shots from Richard Rothstein's newest shoot with Kyle. Windows reflect so much more than the natural light they bring in, they bring an added depth to images and create an fascinating contrast between inside and an outside. I always wonder what the view is on the other side of the glass and what the model is looking at. I also wonder if the see through wall welcomes an unexpected audience to the shoot.
With Richard's shots of Kyle, it was hard to focus on the view beyond the vision. As Richard noted Kyle has the most beautiful eyes, and having those deep pools of blue gazing back at me as I was choosing images made it difficult to concentrate. Richard sent on over fifty shots for me to choose from and most of my favorites were portraits and headshots. It was difficult, but I pulled myself together and chose some body shots to add to the mix.
It wasn't much of a struggle given Kyle's physique is equally as eye catching as his peepers. I love how Richard shot Kyle in the open apartment, especially in connection to the windows. You'll notice in one series that Kyle doesn't seem to mind stripping down in front of the large and uncovered pictured windows.
I could give you the address of the apartment, in case any of you might want to move in across the street, but that would mean not being able to share more of Richard's work with Kyle in the future. For now, we'll remain visual voyeurs, not across the street with binoculars, but inside the apartment with a virtual up close view.
'Kyle fell from the sky like an angel. A friend of a friend who had been following my work, Kyle very much wanted to model for me. I hadn’t realized just how much he wanted to be in front of my camera and my eye until I learned that he would be driving six hours from western Pennsylvania just for the shoot.'
'I must admit that made me very nervous, working with someone for the first time—and someone with almost no modeling experience—who would be driving six hours in each direction just to be in front of my camera. And, yes, of course, I was very much flattered but also very much worried that the experience would be a disaster. Would we have chemistry? Would he take direction? Would he have a personality?'
'But then he shows up and it was all about dreams coming true. Of all of the features that make for beautify in both men and women, nothing speaks like the eyes; and Kyle’s eyes are beyond description. Lost in them. Windows to the soul. Deep dark pools that seduce and compel. Sometimes, you look in a man’s eyes and it’s clear that nobody’s home, in Kyle’s case, his eyes reflected fantasies, emotions, romance and as many stories as one could imagine. It’s actually quite challenging to photograph someone with such extraordinary eyes; you have to fight to remember that he’s not so bad from the neck down. :)'

Richard Rothstein: An Intimate Audience
'This last Therapy shoot was rather special, only the second time I’ve had the luck to photograph two men deeply in love...'
'Shawn and Sergey were the first and Mike and Nick had a powerful bond between them that so beautifully and generously comes through in the photographs. It made for a very special experience. I worked to capture the intimacy between them, the warm, loving and erotic connection that one rarely has the opportunity to observe and study between two men. I felt honored and proud to see the “love that dare not speak it’s name” so proudly and powerfully displayed in the full light of day.'
I love these shots from Richard Rothstein taken at TherapyNYC's last sketchy Saturday in May. The intimacy and passion Richard captured is sensual and powerful, even with an audience around them full of artists and attendee's. Many in that audience, seemed swept up as they looked on and experienced close-up the passion expressed by Nick and Mike. Check out more of Mike and Nick from the May 26th session, and the audiences reaction, on The OVER-FLOW HERE:

A Little Taste: Duoc by MW Photo MD
'I believe that if you're comfortable with your body then you should show it off, give the viewer a little taste to make them want more.'
Although 25 year old Duoc-Thanh may not be up for his full frontal close-up just yet, that doesn't mean he's not up for pushing the envelope and pushing his boundaries within his work. The Washington model shares that right now, he tends to mostly book more risqué shoots and that's just fine with him. Duoc has a model friend who primarily books fashion shoots, buttoned up in a suit and tie. Duoc on the other hand is usually wearing much less... 'I'm more of the sexy edgy projects kind of guy. I love doing what I do and I wouldn't change it for a bit.'
For this series from Mark from MW Photo MD, Duoc didn't have to worry about being hot and sweaty in a suit, his wardrobe mostly consisted of a hat, a jock strap and of course a pair of hand cuffs. Mark discovered Duoc's portfolio while scrolling through ModelMayhem, liked his look and got in touch about scheduling a shoot together. Mark always finds it interesting to discuss shoot possibilities and ensuring the model he is working with can also get what their looking for to add to their portfolio.
With his beautifully mesmerizing brown eyes, sultry lips and face and great body, Duoc is a natural in front of the camera, however being in front of the camera wasn't his initial goal. In school, Duoc's goal was to create a career in graphic design or photography. In his attempt to learn more about the craft of photography, Duoc met a photographer who encouraged him to set in front of the lens rather than behind it.
'He said that I was a natural. One shoot led to another. As the photo shoots progressed, more clothes came off. I've always been insecure about my body growing up. Now in my young adult stage, I've been more confident. I've always been a very sexual person as well. Nudity does not scare me. I would love to make a living off my body if I could.'
'Our shoot went really well, I was looking for Duoc's input and try not to have too many set ideas in mind on how the shoot should proceed, I find it easier that way and I tend to get some nice surprises in my pics, maybe more candid than posed. I tend to get trigger happy some times as well and can take several hundred during a typical 2 hour session. I always feel like I get a good work out in during a shoot! We are working on scheduling a duo intimate shoot in the future and I think that will be a lot of fun!'
'Mark is very professional. I had a blast working with him. He makes you feel comfortable and is very open to different ideas. When I connected with Mark through Model Mayhem I noticed his work was different from what I've ever done before. I've done a couple nude shots here and there but something about Mark's work is different. There's still some vulnerability in his portfolio. There's a simplistic kind of feel with the shoots yet sexy. I love it!'

Charlie Hamblett: Ridden
If you're not watching Killing Eve yet, you should be. My addition began last Friday and I streamed through the first 8 episodes in about three days. Sandra Oh is brilliant, as is the entire supporting cast. Be warned however, the show doesn't let you relax very often, just when you think things are intense enough, another heart pounding scene begins.
In the show's second episode we're introduced to the beautiful Sebastian. (Charlie Hamblett) Sebastian lost his TV remote and is hunting through the garbage in the hope it may have ended up there. Serial killer Villanelle meant our adorable Sebastian no harm, she liked him, and rode him like she was in The Kentucky Derby. But.. the harder they ride, the harder they well...if you've seen the episode you'll know it's the scent of a woman that sometimes bring man to his knees.
Charlie by Joseph Sinclair
It was difficult finding out much about the fetching Charlie Hamblett who played Sebastian. The English actor dated Daisy Ridley for a bit, but it's been over for awhile. His IMDB resume has five credits, two being roles in new film adaptations of Shakespeare's Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream. I guessing with his talent, combined with those beautiful baby blues and luscious lips, we'll be seeing more of Mr. Hamblett in the future.
