Autumnal Sensations

As a storyteller, my enjoyment of art and photography goes beyond just the visual, encompassing many of the body's sensory experiences. Although not actually there, my imagination always wanders, triggering my curiosity about the many sensations experienced during the shooting process.  This is especially potent with outside and location shoot.

When enjoying images taken during the summer, I can almost feel the sun's heat hitting the skin.  When spending time with images taken at the beach, I imagine the smell of the salt water and feel of the hot sand and cold ocean water on the body and the sound of the waves crashing into shore.  When featuring a winter shoot, I shiver at the thought of the models skin hitting the cold rocks and ground, and the surface of the skin starting to freeze when in contact with snow.

With an Autumn shoot, in addition to the heat from the sun and the crispness in the air, it's all about sound and texture. When out in the woods in the late fall, you hear each footstep, each movement when the dry leaves are stepped on and begin to disintegrate.  You can hear the crack of branches in the distance and the aroma of moist moss and leaves floats in the air.

Center of Attention: George's Naked Ambition

'I remember a class during which I began to get an erection. When I reached about half-mast I overheard 2 female students giggling and debating whether my semi-erect junk more closely resembled a carrot or a banana.'


Sharp eyed FH viewers might recognize the clown mask in the first image above.  I featured images of the oh so beautifully naked Jeremiah in the clown (and a hippo) mask this past Halloween.  (Give Me Something Good to Eat)  The image of Jeremiah in the mask was one of the first images that drew me to the work of the photographer behind the lens.


It it fitting then, that in the first photo from Antonio Lopez, the mask again makes another erotic appearance.  This past summer, I did an entire day focused on art and life models. (HERE:) I have always been fascinated by models brave enough to take it all off not just for one photographer, but a room full of strangers.   I always wondered their thought process, what went into to their decision.  Were they nervous, what did they think about.  Was it strictly boring and professional or did they feel objectified, judged, compared, sexualized or even adored.

'I met Antonio because we had both done shoots with the same model, “Many Faces”. She credited him on the photos she posted from their shoot(s). I admired his work and thought it would be awesome to shoot with him.I looked him up on FB and contacted him about getting together sometime. We traded a few messages and eventually worked out a concept, time and location. I’m grateful we did. He is an awesome photographer.'

Thankfully, I had an artist and photographer who's work I have been featuring over the past year who was willing to satisfy and assuage my curiosity.  Some of you may remember earlier this year when I first introduced the work of George from Naked Ambition.  The first time I featured George's photography work this past January, (Bidirectional Views) the model was Jesse, but the focus was on the man behind the lens.


George shared the story of driving to California with his wife and connecting with one of his friends who life modeled at a few local colleges.  George's friend knew he was a nudist and suggested he give it a try.  George felt his  modeling and his photography fit together hand and glove and he has continued to pursue both.  Of course the idea of modeling nude is different than the reality, and the nerves kicked in during his first nude shoot which included stepping completely naked into a hot tub at the Berkeley Sauna with an experienced female model.  But... as you'll read below, that was just the beginning of his naked ambition and adventures.


'Richard is a fellow life model. We became acquainted when we were both booked to model for the same life drawing class(es). I learned that he was also a photographer working freelance for a local community activist newspaper. He also frequently brings a camera with him when modeling in order for the instructor to photograph him. In that way he is able to add to his modeling portfolio.

He had his camera with him one of the days we were both assigned to model. The instructor requested that I begin class with a series of gesture poses which Richard kindly photographed and made available to me for my portfolio. Again blessed to have photos taken by such a talented photographer.'


Although you were a nudist, were you nervous the first time you modeled nude?

Yes. Especially my first time in the small studio at a local university. The first ring of students were no more than 3 feet away from me and I felt quite uncomfortable with the lack of personal space between us

Tell me about that first time, was it for a class or an artist?

The first time, not counting public nudity at the beach or events in San Francisco such as Nude Aide, was for a art class.

My first time modeling on film was for my college roommates class project. The film was about the young man’s struggle with sexual identity. I did separate nude scenes in bed with another male and with a female. My roommate did jump cuts back and forth between the two to convey the confusion and sexual identity struggle he was experiencing in his own life at that time. 


What has been your favorite experience modeling thus far?

I recently modeled for a Femdom foot worship photo shoot. For the final sequence of shots the model’s feet were covered in cherry preserves which I proceeded to lick off and swallow. It was a delicious experience and I loved every minute of it. I hope to do more modeling in this style in the future.

Any odd or strange stories from any pose sessions?

Nothing really odd or strange that I can think of. The only thing remotely in that vein is those sessions when there are one or more unannounced visitors to a session.

Can you remember any feedback artists have given you that had you thinking or scratching your head?

Generally speaking most artists have been complimentary about my ability to hold a pose for an extended period and to get back into the pose after a stretching break, as well as my overall physical condition.

'Royce had posted on Craigslist for models back when CL was a viable means for photographers and models to connect. I responded and he replied. So we set a time for a shoot at his home “studio”. He is a professional photographer doing weddings and the like, so I was pleased to have the opportunity to shoot with him. Another great photographer that I have had the good fortune to work with.'


What do you think about during long posing sessions?

Anything and everything depending on what’s going on in my life and the world around me on any given day

Have you ever been asked to do an especially difficult or awkward pose? Any you've said no to?

Rarely have I had to say no. I do remember one to 2 occasions when I was asked to take a pose that was physically impossible for me or was so uncomfortable as to be unsustainable

Have you posed with other models and if so, how is it different?

Yes, many times. Different in that there is usually some concept with an underlying story line involved or recreation of a famous work - Adam and Eve, The Roman Mythology of The Rape of the Sabine Woman, POWs, for example. I find scenarios which involve physical contact with other models, such as the aforementioned Adam and Eve and Rape of the Sabine Woman, particularly enjoying.


What is the largest number of people you have posed for?

In a formal setting I’d say 100-125 posing on stage at a benefit for the Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco.


What part of your body are you most happy with? What part gets the most attention from others?

I think my torso from shoulders to butt is down right classic when seen from the rear. My uncut penis gets the most attention because many students have never seen an uncircumcised cock in person before.


Have you ever had any unexpected erections during a pose and if so, how did you handle it?

Yes, especially when I first started modeling. Particularly when posing the first time for a new group of people. Not much you can do other than keep on modeling until the erection subsided or excuse myself and deal with it.  Rather than getting a full blown erection a more common problem for me is leaking pre-cum during a pose. This is particularly true when doing a standing pose. I keep a small cloth handy to wipe the string of pre-cum away.


I also receive positive comments about my legs,hair, and face.

Why do you think you like modeling?

Several reasons. The sense of freedom, the gratification at being the center of attention, the legacy of having drawings and photographs of me that will still be around long after I’m gone.

Who couldn't resist the beautiful blue eyes and curly blonde hair and Blue eyed model and actor Owen Lindberg. I know I couldn't after first seeing one of his modeling shots.  Lindberg is a blend of angelic cherub mixed with a large portion of stud muffin, with just a wee bit of Blue Lagooner dust, together creating an incredibly hot final package.

Erotic Elongation: Zackary by Cooks Photography

'Stretched & Unstressed' 


In the case of the incredibly sexy and flexible Zackary, you can also thankfully add 'stretched and undressed.'  FH might remember my September' story featuring photographer Hal Cook's imagery of the equally sexy, and equally bendy Alec. (Window of Time) Some of you may recall I mentioned that Hal had sent on shoots from several different models and Zackary, well at least Zackary's photo was mentioned in Alex's piece.


'During the shoot, Alec not only shared his graceful flexibility, but also showed Hal a few images of his boyfriend Zackary. Hal later shot Zackary , and you can look for those images coming up soon!'


Ok, I admit, two months may not necessarily be considered soon, but I'm sure you'll agree that Hal's shots of Zackary were more than worth the wait.  I'd be curious to see what pictures Alec had on his phone to show Hal.  Back in the day, one pulled a photo of their boyfriend from their wallets to show others, but with everyone always having their  phones on them, and Zackary being Alec's boyfriend,  I'm doubting that Hal was shown just a smiling head shot...


I can see instantly why Hal wanted to connect and shoot with Zackary, his body is incredibly beautiful and I love the visual beauty and sensual intensity Zackary creates with the long lines and exquisite poses and positions with his elegant elongation.

Hal shares that he and  Zackary I hit it off immediately.  Zackary's now posed for Hal three times, including once with another male model. Hal describes both Zackary and Alec as amazing models, and I agree.  I also couldn't help but wonder (well ok.. fantasize) how they best take advantage of their mutual flexibility when alone together...


Not all photographers utilize the architectural beauty the lines and curves the male form are capable of creating, but  it's something I have been especially loving in so much of Hal's work.  Many focus on specific body parts, ignoring the dynamic visuals possible when focused on the overall systemic beauty of the human body.


It would have been a crime to shoot Zackary and not creatively utilize his long lean form and his incredibly beautiful long legs.  Zackary skillfully uses both pose, in addition to his neck, head and eye and facial expressions to created some dramatically beautiful looks that Hal so magnificently captured.

Ad Men: The hottie on the can...

'If it feels like you live in the bathroom with chronic constipation and belly pain... talk to your doctor and say yes to Linzess!


An actors life....  Although many men have caught my eye in TV commercials, never before has it been a hottie sitting on the toilet.  But...this particular hottie looked so adorable sitting so patiently, concentrating and waiting.... and waiting... and waiting...


Many of you, especially those who check out cable news, have most like seen the hottie in question, sitting, then finally getting relief before bouncing off to work to get a double dose of happiness when he finds out his meeting was cancelled.


It can be difficult sometimes to find out the name of actors in television commercials, but this actor made it easy, cutting out my usual research haunts by identifying himself.   After checking out the ad on Youtube, I noticed there was a comment asking the actor's name.  In the replies, actor and model Terry Dormer replied with a simple 'me'.


Finding out a little more about Terry was as enjoyable as seeing him concentrating so hard in the commercial.  The actor, director and model hails from London and as you can see from the highlights below, has been many in commercials which didn't require him to sit on the toilet.


Although some may think they wouldn't pretend to have constipation for a television commercial, an actors life requires stretching all of your creative muscles.... Commercials also bring on decent green, something most actors have to consider given you never know how long you may have to go between paying gigs. 



One of the most interesting things about Terry was learning he used to be a wrestler going under the name of Terry Frazier.  Terry began wresting in 1999 and is best known for his time with Revolution Pro Wresting.  Just like his modeling and acting, Terry's great looks were put front and center in his tight white wrestling shorts.

Actors & Skin: Chad Michael Murray

In Dawson's Creek's fifth season, after shipping the action from Cape Side to Worthington University in Boston, the show was looking for ways to bring a little attention to the show.   Adding Chad Michael Murray to the cast certainly grabbed mine, at least for a little while....


Dawson's Creek had the young actor shirtless or in boxer briefs in about half of the scenes during his 12 episode stint on the show.  The scene below is one of my favorites...


Although he showed a lot of skin on TV when he was younger, it was until 2015, when Murray was in his mid-thirties that he officially did a nude scene, showing his butt in three different projects in 2015, 2016 and 2017.  Let's hope he continues the trend!

12 Days: Chad Michael Murray in Road To Christmas

When Maggie’s secret plan to reunite Danny and his two brothers with Julia during the live broadcast in Vermont goes awry, Maggie is reminded that above all, it is the love for family and friends that makes the merriest of Christmas.


I first fell in lust with the hot 19 year old Chad Michael Murray when he was playing Tristin Dugray back in 2000 on Gilmore Girls.   Tristin was a hottie bad boy at prep school and was seen most in the show's first season.  This was before Jess came along and I always hoped Rory would drop Dean and have a little fun with Tristin.


Soon after his stint on Gilmore Girls, Murray spent 12 episodes romancing many of the women on Dawson's Creek, I think pretty much all the lead character other than Grams.  The show wisely had the hot young actor almost naked in about half of scenes, shirtless, stripping or in boxer briefs.  It was then I first noticed Murray's great chest.  You'll understand from these shirtless shots why I nicknamed him nipples.


The CW obviously saw the appeal of their hot heart throb and a year after completing his stint on Dawson's Creek was cast in the lead on teen high school basketball drama One Tree Hill.  I tried to like OTH, but although I liked Dawson's Creek and loved Gilmore Girls, could not get past more than a few episodes of OTH.

Not watching, didn't mean I didn't pay attention whenever Murray was showing a little skin on the show.  His most famous OTH skinning was the rather daring basketball scene that fans of the show, or just fans of actor's anatomy remember well.

Seeing the promos for Road To Christmas had me thinking back to when I first noticed Murray on TV and back when I was a magazine fiend and enjoyed all his shirtless pin-ups in Teen People and Pop Magazine.  It also had me thinking it was time Chad Michael Murray took a turn in my Actors & Skin feature.  Check out that post below!

A Tale of the Time by Richard Rothstein

Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast


The tale of LGBTQ characters in fairy tales is unfortunately not as old as time, even today, representation remains a struggle.   If there was a gay character, they were usually closeted, and written as comic relief.  The bungling bestie of the prince, or the clownish and deliberately campy valet or manservant to the king.


Those beauties on the stairs of the palace were always fair maidens or princesses.  The virtuous heroines, even the strong ones, were written paired with  masculine counter parts furthering the heteronormative narrative that artist Richard Rothstien has taken on as a theme within his work this past year.


I have loved featuring Richard's telling of the tales, including his visual re-writings of The Little Mermaid, (Chasing Tail) Little Red Riding Hood, (Basket of Goodies) and even taking on the Shakespeare,(Shakespeare in the Park) a writer who included more than a few campy sidekicks in his works including Feeble the tailor in Henry IV and Osric the courtier in Hamlet.

I was excited when I first saw images of Richard's newest re-telling of the fairy tale  Beauty & the Beast, first written back in the 1700's by french novelist Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve.  The original novel, more than the adaptations and movies that followed, focused on subjects like identity and appearance, and it's role in shaping who we are.


Although the town gushes over the strength and the visual manly specimen that is Gaston, he is not the one the beauty eventually chooses. Romance rules in Beauty & the Beast, and it's the Beast who has the heart, and wins the heart of the Beauty.  Richard, along with his beauty, (Sergey) and his beast (Dee Whitt) beautifully capture the stories romance


I think this shoot is one of my favorites from Richard's theme thus far.  No one could ignore or deny the elegant beauty of Sergey on the stone stairs. He is like a delegate, yet powerful magnetic force that draws you towards him.  He certainly drew the beast, and Dee Whitt's beast cannot neither be ignored or resisted, especially when handing you a rose and inviting you out on to the dance floor.


You can almost hear the music, and feel the electricity as Sergey and Dee Whitt begin their waltz.  Richard's images invite the viewer to fantasize about the climatic conclusion after the music has stopped playing.  Although Disney captured the romance, it was not nearly as erotically passionate as depicted by Sergey and Dee Witt in Richard's tale of a more open and current time. Jedidiah Goodacre: Welcome the newest Dorian Gray

There have been many Dorian Gray's on-screen, and actor Jedidiah Goodacre seems the perfect addition to add to the list.  The former Disney actor has taken on the iconic role in season two of Netflix's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and me thinks he's going to give Ross Lynch's Harvey Kinkle a run for his money.


His name, as you can see from these images, isn't the only thing incredibly sexy about the 29 year old actor.  That head of hair, not to mention the hair flowing down his chest and stomach.  Unlike his shirtless scenes in The Originals, let's hope the producers of Sabrina don't force him to shave!
