Hunt looks especially hot discussing Knots Landing and being labeled a 'hunk' on an old episode of the Attitudes talk show with Linda Dano and Mary Frann.

Blast From The Past: Hunt Block
Sometimes you need your memory jogged. I had completely forgotten about the hotness of actor Hunt Block until recently listening to a chat podcast. The hosts were discussing the best soap opera re-casts when Hunt's name came up. I never watched any of the daytime shows Hunt was on, but I remembering thinking how hot he was when seeing him in promotional shots during his time on Knots Landing.
I haven't really seen much of Knots Landing other than the first couple of seasons as those are all that have been released on DVD. I have seen a few clips of Hunt from the show on-line and on Youtube, but tried unsuccessfully to find more after deciding to feature Hunt in this piece. Hunting for Hunt proved a challenge as he's for the most part now retired from acting. He also seems to have wisely not joined the social media world, unless he's using another name, which would be smart if he's trying not to be detected.
Most of what I did find image wise, came from French and UK based sites for Knots Landing. I remember being struck by his strong handsome face and his beautiful eyes and structure facial structure and jaw. If timing had not been an issue, Block would have been a perfect Clark Kent had they been making a Superman series when he was younger.
After his time on Prime-Time in the eighties and nineties, Block moved to daytime, working on All My Children, Guiding Light and As The World Turns from 1997-2010. His last role was in the film Only I... in 2016 co-starring alongside Dillon Casey and Brendan Fehr. I have to thank the hosts of that podcast for reminding me of Hunt, and I'm going to keep digging for more info and pics. He looks like he had more than a few shirtless scenes on Knots that are just begging to be capped!

Bench Warmer: Joey by macpics
'I guess you could say I like being “one with nature”
When I was a kid, January was always a bit of a let down. The holidays were over, it was usually freezing outside, and there wasn't a whole lot to look forward to. We didn't have a lot of money, and didn't really take any trips, but that changed when I was about 10. My grandfather died, leaving my father a bit of money. Not a lot, but enough to pay off our mortgage, leaving my parents with a bit more to come and go on.
This money however, didn't really directly pass on to my siblings and I. My parents bought a time share in Florida, and for many years, headed down there the first week of January for as long as two months. They didn't however, take us with them, we were left at home with one of our aunts moving in while they were gone. I didn't make it their Florida rental until years later, when I was able to purchase the plane ticket myself.
Those January jaunts however, stuck with me and when I got older, I followed the tradition. When I began working full time, I usually chose to work through Christmas week, and take my vacation time in January. It was nice to have something to look forward to when the holidays were over.also Christmas is a busy time, whether you're working or not, but in January things really quieted down, giving me a real break. Given it's January, I'm going to take a short break from blogging for a few days. Seemed a perfect time then, to take everyone on a virtual vacation down under with Aussie Joey and his recent shoot with Ian from macpics.
Some of you may remember Joey from my previous piece last spring featuring his first shoot with Ian. (Quietly Cocky) The shots in the first piece were all taken inside, so this time, model and photographer headed out a local nature reserve. Ian hadn't been there before, but saw a selfie that Joey had posted from the location. When they were planning their next shoot, Joey suggested the spot. After a long harsh lockdown in Melbourne, Joey thought an outdoor shoot would be both a fun adventure, and the safest place to shoot.
'Working with Ian is always good fun. The location I chose was close to where I live. I had been speaking with other life models who gave me the idea to go out and explore my surroundings. It’s summertime now here in Australia so it’s the perfect time to get outdoors. '
Joey
Ian loved the location, both because of the many scenic spots to shoot, but also because there weren't many people around. One of my favorite spots, included this bench that Joey so beautifully rode in this series of shots. Often, when shooting outside, Ian has to toss his models their clothes when people pass by. At the nature reserve, Joey only had to grab for his bather once, so they were able to get plenty of nude shots. They did however, have a group of pretty annoying and persistent visitors....
'Although a nature reserve, the only creatures we encountered were mosquitoes, lots of them! Not in the open areas, but when we went into the trees, squadrons of them fell upon us and had a grand old time. Only my arms got bitten, but you can imagine what happened to Joey! lol! Fortunately no awkward bits got bitten. Phew!'
You can check out more of Joey on his Model Mayhem page HERE: and on his Instagram HERE: Due to the restrictions on Instagram, Joey saves some of the more naughty and creative content for his JustforFans page HERE: There are a few steamier shots from this shoot with macpics on there as well!

A Baker's Dozen: Cristian
'The minute Cristian turned 18 he was in the studio.'
It was back in 2012, just after his first time in the studio, that Mark from Mount Photography first introduced his work with Cristian to viewers of FH. Expressive Masquerade remains one of my all time favorite features due to Mark's incredible imagery, and the story they told. It also included one of my favorite things about working on the site, being able to visually visit beautiful locations in other parts of the world.

FaVorites: Alexander Ludwig
Most of us, were introduced to Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig in the first film in The Hunger Games series. In the 2012 flick, Ludwig played Cato, District 2's hunky, but fierce and determined tribute. One of my favorite part of doing the 'FaVorite' series, is seeing the changes in the actors, models and performers that I feature.
Although just 20 at the time of the first film, Ludwig was incredibly fit and more than adequately filled out his tribute suit. Even so, Ludwig has gotten even more built and strapping in the last 8 years, evident if you've checked out his recent photo shoots or seen Ludwig in his role as Bjorn in the series Vikings.

12 Days: Henry Golding in Last Christmas
'Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away'
It's appropriate that Last Christmas would be my last 12 Days post celebrating the Christmas holiday season. Appropriate not just because of it's title, but because I actually put together last January, almost one year to the day. I'd seen the flick in the theatre early in January, and wanted to include the beautiful Henry Golding in the 12 Days series.
Given it was January however, I decided to leave until this past Christmas, but only recently discovered it my draft folder. Instead of waiting until Christmas 2021, I decided to go in and so some edits, and make it the Swan Song for this years series.
There were so many things about Last Christmas to complain about, it really wasn't that great a flick. The reviews weren't great. For some reason, I especially disliked Emma Thompson in this flick, maybe because I love her so much. Her scenes in Love Actually, a Christmas movie I do pull it often, (although not this year) were a highlight in the film, but in Last Christmas, she was more a caricature for comic relief.
One critic called it the worst movie, that you'll end up watching every Christmas. I don't see many pulling this flick out yearly, but there were a few things about it I enjoyed. Although an avid movie watcher, I have to cop to being surprised by the movie's twist. Although the clues were all there, it's surprise packed a mini, but still vivid emotional twist. I also couldn't help but love Emilia Clarke's character Kate, and even her corny singing at the end did tug at my Christmas heart strings.
The beautiful Henry Golding as Tom was the highlight. Like so many of you, I've been thirsting after the talented actor since seeing him in Crazy Rich Asian. It shouldn't be a big deal, yet it sadly is one, and is still incredibly rare to see an Asian actor as the romantic lead in a film, especially Christmas one. Golding more than demonstrates what a colossal mistake that was. He certainly left his mark on me, and many others, even in a so-so movie from last Christmas.

Arresting
'Nothing Stays Hidden....'
Like many of you, my holidays were a little quieter this year. Although the lead up to Christmas was still busy, the days between Christmas and New Years were quieter than usual. On the plus side, I did manage to watch a few shows I didn't have time to watch in the fall. I've been avoiding on-line spoilers for The Undoing since it premiered last October and managed to watch it over the holidays basically spoiler free.
I enjoyed The Undoing, especially because of the actors and performances. The story, although began with a bang, seemed rather predictable as the series went along. Although they threw in some red herrings, the ending was basically the one we guessed from the beginning. Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant were both very good, but the stand outs for me were Noah Jupe as their son Henry, and actor Edgar Ramírez who played Detective Joe Mendoza.
With Ricky Martin in American Crime Story
I recognized the handsome face of actor Edgar Ramírez right away, but couldn't really remember where from. A quick look at his IMDB page had me realizing I'd seen him previously playing Gianni Versace in American Crime Story. That's not where I remembered him from however, in ACS, Ramirez was almost unrecognizable as Versace. I remember actually initially thinking it was actor Enrico Colantoni until I saw the credits.
The answer actually came from a quick search of FH. Back in 2011, when doing my annual EMMY posts, I included Ramirez who was nominated for his role in the mini-series Carlos the Jackal. During my research, I ended up watching the mini-series after seeing caps from the actors nude scene. Of course I had to strip Detective Mendoza from his clothing and include the scene below.

Stationary Choreography: Fernando by Mount Photography
'Fernando literally becomes self absorbed when he moves and forgets his surroundings making the interaction very special.'
I've written often about the elegant nexus between dance, and the photographing of the male form. I often comment about the sharp connection that dancers have with their bodies, and how it manifests itself in both movement and pose. I don't comment as much, about the connections photographers also often have with their bodies, and how it plays out in not only what they create, but what they see and what they feel during a shoot.
Photographers are in many ways choreographers, creating stationary moments of movement within their work. If you look at just one of these images of Fernando, it appears much like a moment of stillness. If you're able however, to visually absorb the entire series, it's clearly a dance, and the culmination of the capturing a beautiful series of movements.
Mark Montovio
I always knew Mount Photography's Mark Montovio had a background and in photography as well as sculpture and dance. I didn't know however, about his experience as a dancer. Whenever I've featured his work, whether with one model, or more, Mark always captures more than just a body posing, but more an expression of emotion through movement. The weaving together of dance and sculpture is illustrated not only in pose and movement, but also the fashion and headpieces that Mark often incorporates within his work.
When putting together this piece on his work with Fernando, Mark not only sent on his comments about Fernando and the shoot, but also attached a few images from his days as a dancer. I of course had to ask a few questions, and if it was ok to a few in the piece. Mark has created many sculptures that he then both danced with, or used as stage sets within dances that were inspired by the sculpture. At other times, it was the dance that inspired a sculpture.
'I was always very inspired by tribal cultures because they had a very unified sense of what Europeans saw as very distinct disciplines and body art was a mayor fascination. The arts, ritual, the body, and spirituality, became one, and 30 years on that forms the backbone of my life and my work.'
Given his dance background, dancers are Mark's favorite subjects, so when he saw Fernando's images on Instagram, he asked if he wanted to shoot. Fernando sent back an immediate yes. Although originally from Venezuela, Fernando, an accomplished dancer, now lives and works in Spain
'I particularly enjoyed the outdoor morning shoots at the beach and most of the work was over in about an hour. He is an absolute pleasure to work with, incredibly talented and stunningly beautiful when he gets into role. He literally becomes self absorbed when he moves and forgets his surroundings making the interaction very special. '

Andrew Bowman: A Winter's Tail

'The snow has covered all your footsteps
And I can follow you no more'
As sexualized beings, we have managed to find a way to connect erotic desires with pretty much everything, including each of the four seasons. Long, humid summers are filled with hot, sweaty desire. Crisp fall nights and cool spring days are both also great excuses to hit the hay, or the pile of leaves in your back year. Winter however, remains the sensuous of seasons.
Given birth rates spike in early Autumn, we've long known January is a busy month for many. Maybe it's about checking off a New Year's resolution, or wanting to get it started with a bang. Either way, those chilly days and extra long nights combine to not only arouse carnal cravings, but also lead to feelings of restlessness. We all know that restlessness, must ultimately be managed somehow.
January, especially for those living in cold climates, is also one of the most satisfying month to get naked. Think about it, we generally wear the least amount of clothing in the summer, it's often so hot, we're stripping off clothing every chance we get. In the winter however, we're more heavily clothed in layers of coats, boots and sweaters. It takes so much longer to rip off those many layers and so much more rewarding when that last wet sock is finally ripped off.
When I was growing up in the eighties, I thought all winter sweaters were required to be itching and uncomfortable. I had several, much like those worn here by Henry and Riley. I hated them. The best thing about them, was ripping them off at the end of the day and feeling the sense of freedom when I could finally rip them off. My distain for sweaters eventually went away, when I got older and found that you could actually find sweaters that looked good, and didn't feel like steel wool being rubbed across your skin.
It also helps, when seeing images of models wearing nothing else, but their winter sweaters. If your a fan of photographer Andrew Bowman, you might recognize the particular winter sweater Henry's wearing. It's one of many pieces of clothing that Andrew's used within his series of winter imagery themed images. .
'I actually did buy this Sweater a few years ago with Christmas shoots in mind. I've never actually worn it myself! As you know I like doing ‘Donald Duck’ shoots where the model is naked from the waist down.'
I love the themes Andrew's utilizes within his work, and especially his use of fashion and props in their creation. The most banal of items can be transformed if if the right hands. I think if you saw one of these winter sweaters in a bin at a department store, you wouldn't necessarily think they'd make great additions to a shoot with a hot male model. Andrew however, makes it work.

Favorite Click of the Week: Ray Sawet
I saved an image of body builder Ray Sawet last fall. I was immediately struck by Ray's look and beauty and the erotic intensity in the shot. Given it's a new year, I'm currently purging most of what I saved in my 2020 folder, but didn't want to let the shot of Ray go by without posting.
The image ended up being from Issue #25 of Thailand's Fetish Magazine from last July. These few images are actually the tamest from the shoot. You can check out the Magazine's Twitter page, (HERE:) or just search Ray on-line if you want to see more.
