Photographic Porn Stars: Ian by JW Johnson
' I bought him a bus ticket and he came from Memphis to shoot back in the mid 1990's.'
I'm not sure how many would be actors and models take the bus today, but not so long ago, it was the main source of transportation for those with big dreams, without a whole lot of money... Back in the mid-nineties, Ian Idol was working at a retail store, but he always dreamed of more. It's not hard to see why, Ian had an amazing body, tall and lean, and a great face and thick head of dark hair. Ian was told almost daily, from friends, from customers where he worked, that he should be a model.
After getting on that bus, thanks to photographer JW Johnson, Ian's journey began. After his shoot with JW, Ian began to get noticed. A few years later, he began his career in adult films. Thanks to a photographer friend of JW's in Chicago, Ian began video work. Ian became so popular that he moved up to the St Louis area soon and in the early 2000's, was one of the industries most popular models.
As it often happens in porn, Ian's video work began with a photograph an his work as a model. It's easy to see from his work with JW, that his sex appeal is almost impossible to contain. JW beautifully captures an intensely sexual energy and his long lines and sensual poses only serve to have viewers craving more. Ian certainly didn't let them down.
'Ian was a lot of fun to work with . There was still a lot of kid in him back then. He had a great sense of humor and tons of personality. Ian could pull off a hard and edgy look in black leather and metal too. I think that's why so many guys fell in love with him,. He could also equally pull of the sweet, sexy, and handsome look as well.'
JW worked with Ian dozens of times throughout the 90's and 2000's. The did studio work, location work, as well as working on the farm of one of JW's friends. If you've seen some of my previous pieces features JW's images, you know the farm was often one of his favorite locations to use, especially the gardens, and of course the barn.
Given Ian's is known for his video work, I had to add a visual of Ian in motion. If you Google Ian Idol porn though, there are tons of videos to check out.
Ian left porn in the late nineties, but he didn't really have to look for work. In addition to being incredibly hot, Ian was also incredible sensible. That retail job that Ian had when he first started to model, he wisely kept. The owners loved him, as well as so many of the customers, so they were very flexible with letting Ian have time off when he had a video to shoot. When his career in porn began to wane, he returned to the store, and has been working there for over 20 years.

Prime Time Supporters: Matthew Daddario
If you check out sites or forums featuring hot male celebrities, you probably noticed actor Matthew Daddario. His recent nude scene in season 2 of Marc Cherry's Why Women Kill have made him the man of the moment. Daddario's turn as would-be actor Scooter Polarsky as provided not only provided many scenes of male skin, but also many scenes of Daddario looking incredibly hot dressed in time-period clothing from the 1940's.
I feel like Daddario and I have been like two ships that have passed in the night. I first noticed the actor during his turn on Shawdowhunters. (2016-2019) I never watched the series, but kept meaning to due to my love of actor Harry Shrum Jr. who starred in the series. Daddario played Alex, the boyfriend of Shrum Jr's character Magnus Bane.
One of Daddario's hottest features has to be his incredibly sexy and hairy chest. For story and characters reasons, Shadowhunters had Daddario's chest shaved and full of temporary tattoos. Although he still looked, it was Daddario's role in Trust in 2021, when got to see his glorious torso au-naturel. Trust was another film that I kept meaning to catch, but still haven't got to.
Last year, when previews for Why Women Kill began to air, I told myself I would DVR and watch. I didn't. This year, when the previews began, I was determined to give it a shot. Not only did the previews look good, they also featured Allison Tolman, an actress I've loved since first catching her in the first season of Fargo.
So.... I have yet to start watching, but the show does appear on the on-demand feature on of my tv. Until I finally commit, I'll continue to deep an eye on Daddario, and hope that fans of the show, and the actor, continue to post and alert us when he, and his hot hairy chest, are featured.

Ron and Gregg are native Aussies who're into a very Australian sport called 'belting'-a team of swimmers hauls a person out of the surging surf with a harness. Obviously, that takes lots of work, which as you can see, results in muscular, tan torsos. Both men are strong swimmers. Ron was a lifeguard and brother Gregg was a member of the Australian swimming team. When not at the beaches, they are licensed bookies at horseracing tracks. Fast-paces lives, in and out of the water.
We discovered Phillip in 1974. He told us that he wanted to retire at the age or 35 from his life on stage. Well, he was 29 then. So if he's been able to accomplish that dream, he's most likely living on a boat in some Australian port. A native Australian, he loves all water sports-sailing, fishing, surfing and water skiing to name a few.
One of the finalists of Playgirl's natural man contest in the fall of 1977, Beau is bright, articulate and amusing. He was into health foods and had just opened his own gym in Fort Lauderdale, Florida when his pictures were taken. Beau lived on the beach in a cottage and his favorite pastime is being with intelligent and refined women.
One of the most valuable resources in California is the golden men who grace the beaches. Bill is an excellent example of California's gold. A physical education teacher, he keeps in shape working out with weights at the beach. When school's out for the summer, Bill can be found laboring in the hot sun on a construction project.
An avid sportsman who enjoys sailing jus off the coast of Santa Monica, California, where he lives, Bryan keeps busy pursing his career as an actor and broadcaster. he has appeared in Young Doctors In Love for ABC films and in commercials for South American Television.

Born in Quebec, Canada, Jean-Robert left home several years ago to 'see things'. He had heard so much about Europe, he wanted to experience it for himself. his wanderlust has taken him from the cafes in Paris to the hills of Israel. He thrives on adventure.
A protégé of the song and dance man Maurice Chevalier, Jean-Paul at the time of his shoot was starring in a television series canned The Sensuous Man.Bron in Diredawa, Ethiopia, and raised in Djibouti, French Somaliland, his characteristically dark European looks come from his French father and his beautiful Italian mother.
When Jim appeared in 'Master Craftsmen,' our pictorial on construction workers in October 1981. We received an unprecedented onslaught of mail calling for more. His encore was at the center of the December issue, which also received rave reviews. By the way, his mother was the one who sent his photo into us. Jim is very glad she did, as are we.
John is grateful that his older brother handed him some weights at the age of 11. When he was 16, he won the title of Mr. Teenage America as California's rep. This landed him a few acting jobs including an appearance on Steve Allen's show. John gave up his short-lived acting career when he realized he couldn't up with his weight training at the same time. An exercise instructor, he's pursuing a degree in physical therapy. It's easy to see his therapeutic qualities.
When the votes for Man of the Eighties were tallied, it was clear that the oral majority of our readers know a good man when they see one. Joe was chosen by a seven-to-one margin. A 21-year-old native of Dania, Florida, Joe loves the sun and the sea. He likes the sound of the ocean, and gets a rush out of riding a seven-foot wave. Other turns on for Joe include sipping white wine and the feeling he gets on top of a snow-covered hill, just before going down.
Not one to stay in one place long, Paul grew up in Baltimore Maryland, went to school in Geneva, Switzerland, and then studied engineering in Atlanta, Georgia. Paul was last seen in Houston, Texas, pursuing his career ambition in photography. He's made several public relations films and documentaries. With his photogenic good looks, we think he belongs on the other side of the camera too.
It was difficult to catch up with Scoot as he proudly raced around Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in his white corvette. When we did, we found him where he enjoys life, at the beach. he loves water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling and surfing. It isn't surprising that he'd done several television commercial's with his tanned good looks.
Stephen impressed us with his intelligence and ambition. he was one of the youngest insurance underwriters around in 1980. As you can see, not all of his assets are cerebral. He keeps his body in shape by working up a sweat on the tennis courts by day, and then dancing the night away.
If you've been to Hawaii, you know how alluring is the thought of never returning to the mainland. Well, that temptation was too great for Steve. he was sent to Hawaii on business by a textile firm in New York, and he never returned. Steve started his own textile design firm there. He loves the women, the weather, the ocean and the laid-back life-style.

Yes, Spanish models Jorge and Edu Román have amazing bodies, sculpted by countless years of surfing beaches all over the world. Equally as sculpted though, are their beautiful faces. Their jawline, nose and those sexy pair of piercing eyes are what initially drew me to their work.

Bruce McCulloch in Kids In The Hall
Last year, after discovering and binging NBC's Superstore, I did a post on the shows male cast. (HERE:) When I was putting the piece together, I discovered actor Mark McKinney had a nude scene during his time on the Canadian sketch comedy Kids In The Hall.
In addition to, I also found that actor and comedian Bruce McCulloch had a nude scene in one of the show's sketches. I always though McCulloch was cute, so thanks to the net, was able to track down the scene. With the show returning with revival, I thought I would feature Bruce's scene before the new episodes drop on Netflix. The new episodes began filming in May, so I'm expecting a fall or winter air date to be announced soon.

My Own Little Prized Project: Mikael by Mark Leighton
'I had never been in front a camera nude before that but I thought it was a challenge, and I figured Id probably like the attention if I could get past my own embarrassment.'
This past May, I first introduced FH readers to model Mikael Alvaro and his work with photographer Mark Leighton. (Practically Perfect) I loved Mikael's look, and the work he and Mark created. Mark's images of Mikael were not only sensual and erotic, they tell an incredibly beautiful story. The images are like a sensual scrapbook, a visual account of Mikael's Portugal adventure.
Although he traveled for work, you can sense Mikael's fascination with his new surroundings, especially as he explores some of his destinations most beautiful locations. I've always loved how Mark so beautifully captures the models he shoots with location. Mikael is not just posing by a rock or by the ocean, he's experiencing them as well. Mark's images almost feel as if he was following Mikael on a journey, secretly chronicling his day. This approach enables the viewer to also experience what Mikael is seeing and feeling along the way.
When I first featured Mark's work with Mikael, the text and story were from Mark's point of view. Given that Mark sent on so many incredible shots, I knew I wanted to do a follow-up. When I began putting the piece together, I thought it would be great if this piece, was Mikael's perspective. I was especially interested in his thoughts given this wasn't just his second shoot, and his first time every doing nude and full body shots. I shot Mikael a few questions, and he generously shared his thoughts on the day, the overall experience, and his feelings after seeing the final images.
Mark found me on PurplePort after another photographer who did my first (ever) professional headshots created an account on my behalf and posted it up there It was mid October and I was skeptical as I had never modelled before, let alone travelling abroad to shoot ! Mark was very reassuring and professional, even in spite of my lack of experience, and I felt comfortable enough to Agree to a shoot. Plus I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to travel for free in the middle of a seemingly indefinite lockdown.
Mark let me know about his style of photography being artistic nudes, at that point I went through his entire profile and even his website before replying. I could see he was an incredible photographer with a distinct eye, and I was then flattered by the offer as the models he used seemed very experienced and comfortable in front of the camera in a way I absolutely wasn’t . I ultimately went out there as a leap of faith in my abilities and his patience.
I initially was very conscious of the idea he could be wasting his time, energy and money on giving me this opportunity but he was always kind and generous in his reassurance. The first day we only shot a few frames as he could tell I was too in my head to shoot. He took the time to get to know me and for me to get to know him in a very relaxed and casual way - incredibly complimentary and uplifting in his words which helped me relax enormously and then by the second and third day we were shooting more and more.
I had never been in front a camera nude before that but I thought it was a challenge, and I figured Id probably like the attention if I could get past my own embarrassment - it sort of helped my general self consciousness as you’re forced to submit to the shot as opposed to control how you are perceived.
It was most definitely a challenge but well worth it as It’s got me loads of opportunities and helped build a small network of good photographers/creatives who I’m slowly building up my portfolio with Sort of a surreal feeling seeing the shots, I initially had a lot to say against how I looked but he helped me let go of what I wanted myself to look like and highlighted what he saw from an objective point of view which changed my world in a sense.
It wasn’t really until the shoots were all done and Mark gave me the shots to go through and pick from that I got some perspective and felt a sense of pride and satisfaction with what we had achieved . Mark however was cheerleading me the whole time and I could tell the shots were getting increasingly better as a result.
I kept it private for a while, I've showed a few friends since then but I kind of like keeping it low key as it exposes me, literally, in ways that most people in my day to day life don’t see. Haven’t showed my family yet out of embarrassment for both them and myself, however They know I’ve been out to Portugal, and photo shoots I’ve had here n there since my shoot with Mark. But Other than that it’s sort of my own little prized project I did for myself more than anything.

Alan Ritchson in Titans
I'm not sure why I haven't checked out Titans yet, I usually give most Greg Berlanti shows a go. I also try to check everything involving actor Brenton Thwaites. It might be the superhero thing, I think between TV and movies, we're close to overdosing on all things Marvel and DC related.
Titans also features actor Alan Ritchson, and actor I've been following since first seeing him on Smallville. Ritchson first appeared on FH back in 2007 when he was playing another superhero, at the time it was his turn as Aquaman. In the latest episode of Titans, Ritchson gets back in the water, although this time, he peeled of fhis scales.
The actor's beefy butt has never looked better, and the embarrassment element of the scene makes it even hotter. Ritchson's character Hank Hall is forced to strip in order to prove he's not wearing a wire. Richson is taking on another action hero in his next project taking on the role of Jack Reacher in the new Amazon series.

Missed Opportunities: The Blob
'A deadly entity from space crashes near a small town and begins consuming everyone in its path. Panic ensues as shady government scientists try to contain the horrific creature.'

Good movies don't need to exploit hot young actors by teasing the audience with a little skin. So so movies however, should really try to pull out all the stops. Although I've never seen 1958's The Blob, I feel culturally familiar with the film. I saw familiar, because over the years, it seemed so many other films and television shows either referenced, or showed clips from the film. So many sit-coms especially, would use the 1958 horror film during their Halloween episodes to help set the mood.
I also never saw the 1988 re-make, well not all of it anyway. I did DVR a recent airing after seeing it featured a young Kevin Dillon and Ricky Paull Goldin. The remake also starred Shawnee Smith, an actress that most who grew up in the 80's and 90's would be familiar with. Shawnee was in numerous TV shows and films over the year including 1987's Summer School.

The first few scenes from the 1988 remake had me thinking the film might be fun. The cast was attractive and the high school set-up teased some possible future skin. Unfortunately the story didn't really hook me enough to watch past the first 30 or 40 minutes. I didn't think much about the film until a few days later. The film had a trio of ale hotties, Dillon, Paull Goldin and especially Donovan Leitch who played high school student Paul Taylor. A little skin from any of these actors might have prevented this film from being more than just a tiny blip in 80's movie history.
Kevin Dillon has never really done a nude scene. Although he was a part of the swimming pool scene in 1986's Heaven Help Us. The scene is well known by many for it's early appearances from Dillon, Patrick Dempsey and Andrew McCarthy. Nothing much is really shown in the scene, nor should it have been given all of the actors were playing about younger than their actual ages. (All were over 19 at the time of filming)

I really didn't know much about actor Ricky Paull Goldin other than watching him briefly on Another World in the early 90's. I was surprised to see him in this film, and kept thinking what a wasted opportunity they filmmakers had. A butt scene from Goldin certainly would have turned this forgettable flick into one that might have ended up garnering a lot more attention, not to mention more DVD sales..
Donovan Leitch
Maybe the biggest missed opportunity was not taking advantage of the strong appeal of actor Donovan Leitch Jr.. I had never heard of the actor until watching this film and had to Google him to find out what else he'd been in. A busy young actor during the late 80's, Leitch. Jr's career seemed to wane during the 90's and 2000's. His last official role was an uncredited appearance in 2008's The Dark Knight.
Leitch Jr. was incredibly hot in The Blob, the perfect jock and high school himbo. He immutably stood out to me when I turned on the film, especially his first scenes trying to buy condoms with Ricky Paull Goldin. Not only did the film not show any nudity, it didn't even bother to get any of their young cast shirtless. Missed opportunity, especially for suck a so so film.
