Last year, I had the pleasure of discovering the work of photographer Bryan Campbell. I also had the pleasure of featuring several of my favorite hottest models (HERE:) that Bryan has worked with. I loved checking out the new images and models that Bryan posts on his social media and checking out the updates on his site The Male Form by CP.
Bryan updates his site regularly and features some of hottest male models out there. In addition to photo sets, Bryan also featured many videos from his shoots, both solo scenes, and some great behind the scenes clips. Two of Bryan's most recent additions (nouveau Deux) to his vast portfolio are models Kanou and Shawn.
Bryan's always looking to add more diversity to his portfolio and site, but living in Alabama, sometimes struggles to find guys willing to model nude, especially Asian models. So, when Kanou sent Bryan a direct message about shooting together, he jumped at the opportunity!
'Kanou hails from Florida and when you turn on the right music, you can count on him to be dancing the entire shoot lol. His love for Bass Pro hats is kinda crazy but hey he looks good in them, we rolled with it for some work. '

With his incredible physique, and beautiful head of sexy blonde hair, Shawn Brooks oozes sensuality in front of the camera. Like Kanou, Bryan reports Shawn loves to dance. As a go-go dancer, the California based model loves to move, dance and have fun during their shoots.

Blast from the Past: Antony Hamilton
Back in the site's first full year, I did a Blast from the Past piece, (HERE:) featuring model and actor Antony Hamilton. Although I was a little young to remember watching Cover-Up, (1985) some of you may remember that Antony was cast in the CBS detective series after the tragic death of original cast member Jon-Erik Hexum. The show never recovered and was cancelled after Antony completed just 14 episodes.
Originally from England, Antony grew up in Australia where he studied ballet. While touring in the early 70's with the Australian Ballet Company, he was discovered by a photographer which led him to leave dance and spend the next decade modeling throughout the US, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Modeling eventually led to acting and in 1979, Antony was cast in his first feature film, the horror flick Nocturna: Granddaughter of Dracula. After a few small roles in features, Antony settled into television roles includeing the 1988 re-boot of Mission Impossible. Sadly, Hamilton died from AIDS-related pneumonia in Los Angeles in March of 1985.
Although I never saw Hamilton in Cover-Up, when I got a bit older, I certainly took notice of some of the beefcake promotional photos, like the ones seen below, for the show. Recently, I read he did a nude scene in that first film Nocturna. It was initially hard to find. Although Antony had a short career, he used three different names, (Tony, Anthony and Antony) during the time.
Well I found that movie, and that scene, and although it's quick, there is indeed a brief flash of butt. Watch the scene and check out some caps on theNEXT PAGE HERE:

Thespian Toros: Aaron Dominguez
I didn't think I was going like Only Murders In The Building, but I easily binged the first season's ten episodes this past weekend. I loved the show, the cast and the opening title sequence. The music and design is amazing, so much so, I never skipped watching the shows opening and closing credits. The cast was also wonderful, especially Martin Short and Steve Martin and I loved all the character actors who inhabited the building.
I also loved me some Oscar played by the ultra hot and talented Aaron Dominguez. Although he's been acting professionally for about ten years now, I hadn't seen Dominguez on screen before. I'm guessing his turn as Oscar is going to change all of that. If like me, you put off watching, I highly recommend giving it a go. There's still time to catch up before season 2 is released on Hulu later this month.

Straight Lines & Round Urns Matt by Cooks Photography
'The next day, they went inside to shoot in the studio.'
Sometimes when you're looking for inspiration, it helps to go back to the beginning. When I recently reached out to photographer Hal Cooks (Cooks Photography) about featuring another of his shoots, I wanted to revisit his work with Matt. The quote I used to begin this piece comes from the first time I featured Hal's work with Matt. (Top of the Cove) It was also the first time I spotlighted Hal's work on the site.
I remember when Hal and I were deciding on which model and shoot to first feature. Hal sent on a selection of shots and models for me to choose from. In the batch, was a shot of Matt, sitting outside naked on a rock. The only thing he was wearing was a ushanka on his head, and a pair hiking boots on his feet. I knew this was the model and shoot that I wanted to utilize to introduce Hal's work to FH readers.
This shoot, in studio, took place the day after the location shoot featuring in that first piece. Matt has a unique look. At first glance, he appears full on GQ, tall and handsome with classical features. Look a little harder though, and you see and feel there's more of an edge beyond the clean-cut surface. This is beautifully evident in the images Hal captured. In addition to Matt's beautiful lines and curves, I also couldn't help but take notice of the large vase that is used in so many of the images.
'As far as the large vase, the lady at the shop called it an urn. I purchased it from an antique shop as decoration for our backyard. I believe I've had it for around 4 years. '
Hal describes Matt as a great model to work with, very nice, pleasant and very interesting to talk with during the shoot. Fairly new to modeling, especially modeling fully naked, Matt did have one thing that he really wanted to ensure that Hal knew...
'Matt was adamant about making sure I knew that he was straight. He was up for pretty much all of my suggestions, but did tell me right away that he didn't want his asshole showing. There were however, several times he had erections during the shoot. lol '

Actors & SKIN: Supplementary:
James Duval
in Without Ward
'Set in a future where lawyers with guns are the heads of the government. Strict house arrest laws are enforced and one man saves the world by standing naked in his window.'
Back in 2021, I did an Actors & Skin piece featuring actor James Duval. (HERE:) When I put together the piece, Without Ward had not yet been released. Since I want all of my Actors & Skin pieces to a comprehensive archive of a actor's on-screen nudity, a supplementary was required.
Some may have noticed that Duval looks quite young in the piece, and the 2022 release, is about five years after the death of Martin Landau, one of the films stars. Shooting for film actually wrapped in 2012, but it sat in limbo owing to several factors, including health issues of its director Cory Cataldo. Cataldo worked in finance in Miami for several years while the cast and crew pushed him to get the film finished.

Youngblood: A Look Back
'Pass the puck!'
Dean Youngblood
Dean Youngblood is 17-year-old farmhand from rural New York, who dreams of playing in the National Hockey League. Dean voices these dreams to his father who disapproves; saying he needs Dean to stay home and help on the fam. Dean's brother Kelly, who also once had dreams of playing, convinces their father to relent.
Dean travels to Canada to try out for the Hamilton Mustangs where he demonstrates his offensive skills but displays a lack of physical toughness. Carl Racki, who is competing for a spot, engages him in a fight and quickly defeats him. Despite this, the Mustangs head coach, a former NHL All-Star, selects Dean for the team. Dean also begins a flirtation with the coach's daughter, Jessie.
In addition to all the homoerotic sweaty locker room scenes, Youngblood had two other scenes showcasing Rob Lowe's body and beauty. Most remember Lowe in his jock strap, but there was also a love scene with Lowe's Dean and Jessie. (Cynthia Gibb).
Compared to the jock strap scene, which gave several views of Rob's rump, the sex scene was rather disappointing. Although there were several quick views of Gibb's breasts, Lowe remained mostly covered in a bed sheet. The earlier jock strap scene however, more than made up for it.
One of the other missed 'skin' opportunities included the character of Miss McGill. (Fionnula Flanagan). Dean's landlady clearly had a vigorous appetite for young hockey players, and was hoping to have her way with young Dean. There was an entire other movie in Miss McGill's boarding house, and all the young hockey players who stayed, and laid there over the years.
I don't really remember Youngblood when it first came out. The only films of Lowe's I think I actually saw in the theatre were Wayne's World and maybe Masquerade. Like so many films with homoerotic themes of the 80's however, there didn't seem to be much attention given to it until years after the films release. It was there, blatantly, but most films didn't really promote homoerotic themes when a film is released, worrying it might off strait movie goers.

Just Because: Guys With Guitars
'Sing for the laughter, and sing for the tear'
I was never really a huge fan of Aerosmith. I liked them, listened to many of their songs, but they were never near the top of my list of favorite musicians or bands. When I was a kid, I was much more into pop and especially alternative music. When I was younger, my music rotated between Mariah, Broadway soundtracks and alternative groups like Our Lady Peace and Bush.
My older brother however, was only into rock. His bedroom was below mine, and Aerosmith and RUSH used to vibrate up from the floor. I was not allowed in his room, but spent many nights banging on his door and jumping on my floor until my parents got annoyed enough to tell him to turn down his music.
I was discussing this with my brother the other day and another memory from those days resurfaced and flashed into my mind. Although I wasn't allowed in my brothers room, when he was out, I often used to sneak in. I always headed to closet to check out all the magazines that he collected.
The Playboys and Penthouses were 'hidden' deep in the back, but I usually managed to find them and sneak one out. The male/female pictorials were one of my first introductions to the nude male form in media and provided hours of fantasy and stimulation when I was a kid.
Not hidden however, were my brothers collection of rock magazines. There were so many different titles, but I think my favorite was CIRCUS. I remember that in addition to covering music, there were also sometimes stories on actors and television and movie stars. There were also plenty of shots of shirtless guys with guitars.
Although not a huge Aerosmith fan, I did love me some shirtless Joe Perry. His long curly hair, his sexy, defined nose and facial features and his spectacular nipples. I knew from glancing at the headlines that Perry was a skilled guitarist, but my focus was on form and his incredible chest and stomach. Those adult magazines provided many inspirational moment's, but so did those shirtless shots of Joe.

A Sultry Summons: Brandon by Jack Saul

FH readers are aware how much I love the use of windows in shoots with a focus on the male form., In addition to providing a convenient source of natural light, windows often add an element of erotic voyeurism. I always find myself wondering what the model's looking at, and whether there are visible, and often also non-visible.... eyes looking back.
If you've enjoyed my previous pieces featuring UK based photographer Jack Saul, you may be aware he often shoots in the same hotel. The rooms have large windows along one side of the room, which Jack always ensures to make full use of. For this shoot with Brandon, I was also struck with how Brandon made use of those windows, using them almost like an invitation, and an erotic summons to all those those who might be looking in.
Many models learn to use the camera as a stand-in for the viewers, using the camera's lens to draw in and seduce the viewer. Brandon's sultry seduction seemed almost like a well choreographed and artistic show, highlighted by his elegant poses and his expressive and enticing dark eyes. Brandon's 'performance' is something he's studied and employs in his work as an adult performer and drag queen.
It was exactly those 'performance' traits that had Jack initiate contact with Brandon. Jack first saw Brandon's images on Instagram and reached out about collaborating for a shoot. Jack was confident given's Brandon's experience as a performer that he'd be perfect for an artistic nude shoot, and be comfortable with improvising different concepts and themes to create a stunning set of images.
'Brandon clearly presents a specific image of himself in the way he looks. I think he was wearing make-up which usually troubles me but this was quite well done and didn't strike me as posing an issue with the camera flash. Although there weren't any erotic elements to our shoot, with his experience with \ performing, he was very body confident.'

Hey Pretty Boy...
To Youngblood, winning wasn't everything - proving himself was.
Sooo... there's a hazing scene near the beginning of 1986's Youngblood. In the locker room, 17 year old Dean Youngblood (Rob Lowe) is grabbed by his teammates, held down and stripped. Then, teammate Derek Sutton, (Patrick Swayze) uses a jock-strap as a doctor's mask, picks up a scalpel, then shaves off Dean's pubic hair.
I have seen bits and pieces from the 1986 Peter Markle directed film many times, especially the scene with Rob Lowe in a jock strap. I hadn't however, actually seen the movie in it's entirety until last weekend. I think I avoided watching the flick thinking it was a sports movie. I'm a big sports fan, especially hockey, a game I played, but I usually don't get into sport focused films. This film, really wasn't a sports movie.
I was actually pretty surprised how blatantly homoerotic Youngblood actually was. The first thirty minutes looked as if it was directed by David DeCoteau. Shirtless locker room scenes, towel snaps, jockstraps and tons of close-ups of Rob Lowe dripping with sweat. The second half of the movie was a bit more straightforward with it's hockey focus, but the first half was all about getting as many hot shots and angles of the leads pretty face and body as they possibly could.
I have to admit, although I've always thought Rob Lowe was handsome, I never really appreciated his beauty until recently. When I was a kid watching his 80's films on VHS, I usually preferred his co-stars. I was more into Andrew McCarthy than Lowe who I didn't really think was especially talented. He was hot no doubt, but the fact he seemed to know it was a bit of a turn off. Like so many actors however, my appreciation for Lowe, as an actor, and as object of lust, has grown as I've gotten older.
Lowe isn't the only hottie in the film. In addition to Lowe and Swayze, Youngblood also featured Keanu Reeves and Jim Youngs, (who I previously featured HERE:) as Lowe's older brother. Although Dean Youngblood has a female love interest, (Cynthia Gibb) the main relationship, well, the one that gets the homoerotic bonding montages, are between Lowe and Swayze.
