Prominent Princes & Captivating Cavaliers
I couldn't possibly feature, or even list, every dancer whose appeared in The Nutcracker. I tried to feature some of the most iconic and well know, as well as some of my personal favorites. The dancers and performers below are ones that I've either been planning on showcasing, or who I have previously featured on the site. When possible, I tried to find a shot each, both in, and out of their tights.

The Icons: Mikhail Baryshnikov & Rudolf Nureyev

Rudolf Nureyev
The Nutcracker Prince
Born in the Soviet Union, dancer Rudolf Nureyev defected to Paris in the late 1950's. After a series of dramatic events, and despite pressure from the Soviet government, Nureyev was sure he'd be imprisoned if he ever returned home. He staged The Nutcracker for the first time in November 1967 for the Royal Swedish Ballet following the request of Erick Bruhn. This version was to be revived several times in London, Milan, Buenos Aires and Berlin.
Nureyev by Richard Avedon (1961)
Nureyev and dancers of The Royal Ballet, Covent Garden Opera Chorus performed The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House in October 1968. This production was filmed, and directed by John Vernon. It became a best selling version of the classic ballet, and was re-released on DVD as late as the early 2020's. Nureyev also choreographed and directed another filmed version in 1988.
In 1926 the tragic and untimely death of a silent screen actor caused female moviegoers to riot in the streets and in some cases to commit suicide.

Bust A Nut!
In addition to all the more traditional performances of The Nutcracker, there have also been a few raunchier versions over the years. Several Burlesque versions have become, like the original, regular events around the holidays. Here are a few...

Roberto Bolle: The Leading Man
Roberto Bolle
The Nutcracker Prince
'For me, a professional dancer is a mix of different elements: technical mastery, interpretation and key physical requirements. Besides the physical characteristics which are a gift of nature, everything else comes with hard work if you want to become a great dancer.'
Italian danseur Roberto Bolle was born in Casale Monferrato, and lived most of his youth in Trino, a small town near Vercelli in Piemonte. Bolle first began ballet studies at the age of seven at a local school and at twelve, was accepted at the La Scala theatre ballet school in Milan.
In 1990, he was spotted by Rudolf Nureyev, who chose him to play the role of Tadzio in the opera Morte a Venezia. The Theater however, would not allow Bolle to accept the offer because he was too young.
After an appearance in Romeo and Juliette in 1996, the then twenty-year-old Bolle was promoted to principal dancer at La Scala. He left that position when he was 21 to pursue a freelance career. Since then he has starred in many ballets including; Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Cinderella and of course, The Nutcracker.
Roberto for Vanity fair ItaliaBolle is currently a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre and a principal dancer étoile at La Scala Theatre Ballet. Bolle also dances regularly as a guest artist with the world’s leading companies, including The Royal Ballet, the Mariinsky Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet and the Paris Opera Ballet.

Harper Watters: Rising Star
Harper Watters
The Cavalier
'When I was a kid, I choreographed a one-man version of The Nutcracker, taking props from around the house. I took the Christmas tree skirt from the attic and made it a dress, and I would turn the lights off and just have the spotlight from the chandelier in my living room.'
Harper Watters has a passion for being bold and unapologetically himself, as evidenced not only in his onstage dancing as a Soloist for the Houston Ballet but in is viral heel treadmill videos. He’s accumulated over 138 thousand followers with his Instagram and created the YouTube web series The Pre Show, which documents the behind-the-scenes stage life of professional dancers.
His parents, seeing his creative version of The Nutcracker, gifted their young son with a VHS tape of The Nutcracker. (the movie starring Macaulay Caulkin) Harper shares that video got a lot of use. Whether at Christmas time, or on the hottest day of the summer, he would sit and watch, especially the snow scene, his favorite.
'I feel like The Nutcracker is the Disney classic of the ballet world. It’s like The Lion King. It’s like The Little Mermaid. It’s the magic. People have a connection to it being on a holiday. It’s a tradition. I think it’s really nostalgic, as well.'

Jett Black: The Princely Porn Star
' Silly child, how can you imagine that this wooden doll from Nuremberg is really alive and capable of moving about.'
If you're a fan of the male form, especially in adult films, the most famous form to slip on The Nutcracker prince costume was porn star Jett Black. Jett, (aka Jeepe Hansen) played the role back in 2012, a year before the shit hit the fan....
May of you may remember the headlines when the then 22-year-ol Hansen, originally from Denmark, claimed he was fired from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet company due to his work in porn. They had him sign a letter of resignation, stating he was voluntarily withdrawing from the organization, but the truth eventually came out.
'In a recent interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., Hansen said that the company “told me ... they didn’t have any space for me because I did porn.” He has since moved to New York to pursue a full-time career in adult entertainment, according to the report.'
'Jett Black loves to move his body and perform in front of other people, so you can see why making porn is no different to him.'

Some Day My Prince Will Come...
'The Christmas parties of long ago all blur and mix in memory. The real and the unreal become as one.'
The Principal male dancer in The Nutcracker is most often, The Cavalier. The term Cavalier in classical ballet term that refers to the male partner of a ballerina. In The Nutcracker, the Cavalier is partnered with The Sugar Plum Fairy in one of the shows most memorable numbers.
Although the show is based on The Nutcracker Prince, I sort of always thought of The Cavalier as The Sugar Plum Fairies Prince. In the version of the show I saw, the Nutcracker Prince was played for comedy, without much dancing, and the male lead dancer was clearly The Cavalier.
When I was looking for images to represent the prince, I didn't have to look far. Most FH are familiar with Kince, who I've featured many times on the site. (HERE:) Although he's not currently shooting, after seeing this shoot, I had to reach out to Mike (AANE Photography) about using a few shots from the shoot. Many might remember Mike, and his partner Thom, whose work I featured many times from 2015 through 2018. (HERE:)
Over the next few pages, you'll see many dancers who slipped on The Nutcracker's head, and the Cavalier's tights. From some iconic dancers and performers, many have at one time or another posed or appeared nude. That's doesn't even include the Nutcracker Prince porn star!

Let's Get Crackin'
'It was such a tree and surrounded by the most tantalizing presents. But first, it was time for the games to begin and the Christmas dancing.'
Why do so many people love The Nutcracker, and why to they return, sometimes year after year? There are many reasons, but tradition is at the core. The Nutcracker actually goes back to the late 1890's as a two-act, classical ballet. Conceived by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the show is set on Christmas Eve at the foot of a Christmas tree in a child's imagination.
The plot is an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' 1844 short story The Nutcracker which itself a retelling of E. T. A. Hoffmann's 1816 short story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. So many people, most who never follow or have seen a ballet, have headed to the show every December. It's Christmas Eve setting, colorful dancing, not to mention that incredible score, are so well known, even people who haven't seen the ballet, are familiar with the show and it's music.
My memories go back to working in regional theatre as a kid. Even before I saw the show, I remember working in theatres where the show was being readied for the holidays. I remember hearing the music, seeing the costumes, and dancers rehearsing. I've only seen the full production once, and then later the 1993 film version with Macaulay Culkin.
Evan LoudonI think the show also helped awaken early sexual tingling's in many young boys watching as well. Those toy soldiers, The Nutcracker Prince, and all those ballet bulges, live, and just in front of you on the stage, was an incredible sign for many. That Sugar Plum, wasn't the only fairy floating around the auditorium, even if we didn't fully recognize it at the time.
Axie & his toy SoldierI've been thinking of doing the theme for awhile now. Almost every dancer I've featured over the years on FH, have listed the show on their resume. I hope you enjoy my tribute to the classic Christmas show and the many men who put on the mouse costume, the soldiers uniform and of course, slid on those white tights. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree: Cowboy Deluxe by Studio1x
'I really enjoyed shooting again, and especially doing another holiday theme for FH!
So... earlier this Autumn, when I e-mailing Jim, (Studio1x) about a shoot from his archives, I added a PS. I once again let him know how much I missed his original holiday shoots. Jim e-mailed back, that if between us, we put a little cash together, he had an idea. Randy, (Cowboy Deluxe) had an OnlyFans and was looking for content, especially something for the upcoming holidays.
Jim had a friend with a garage that he was sure he could turn into a decent studio space and suggest a holiday shoot with Randy. I said yes right away, and Jim got planning. The timing was perfect. Randy was juggling both a retail job, and some part-time work at a rodeo, but together, he was still struggling to have extra cash to buy his son Christmas gifts.
Well, Jim and Randy started bouncing around a shot list, and some options for props and a date was set. They also discussed wardrobe, but given any clothing was quickly coming off, Randy brought along some his own favorite pieces, clothing that was both comfortable, Christmas cozy, and easy to peel off.
I've featured many hunks in Santa hats over the years. A variety of men of all ages donning the leather and red fur. I think however, this is my first authentic, not to mention incredibly studly, cowboy unwrapping himself by the Christmas tree.
The rocking chair belonged to Jim, and it reminded me so much of visiting family over the holidays. Most of my older relatives had a wooden rocking chair, often placed right next to the Christmas tree. For some reason those rockers always seemed to belong to just one person. No matter how large the family was, there was only one ass welcomed to sit and rock in the chair. I doubt any my relatives rocking chairs had a naked ass, especially one as appetizing as Randy's, sliding against it's wood. Then again, you never know what your aunts, uncles and cousins do when home alone...
I love what Jim and Randy created, and especially love the events which led up to it. FH readers know I love a story, and this Christmas story hit both an erotic, and an emotional chord. If it hit any part of you as well, show Randy a little holiday love over the holidays by checking out his social media sites and his OnlyFans.

Lit: Isaac Green by Michael von Redlich
Lights, camera, frustration!
We all hate untangling the Christmas lights. Of course we could solve the problem by putting them away properly. Most us don't however, as by the time we're putting away the Christmas decorations, we just want to shove them in a box. I do know some people who meticulously organize as they pack away the decorations. Most of them, are as annoying as the tangled lights.
Here's a solution, before untangling, wrap them around an almost naked hottie. This year, Isaac Green volunteered! I first profiled Isaac, and his work with photographer Michael von Redlich, just last month. (HERE:) Given how much I loved their first series of collaborations, I couldn't wait to feature more.
Thankfully Michael was also present to chronicle the process of this hated holiday task, But.. visually, this way of dealing with the multi-colored string, didn't see quite so frustrating. To start, Isaac wrapped himself in light, losing his Calvins in the process. No one complained. The lights may not have gotten exactly straightened, but Isaac was well lit, and the room looked spectacularly festive!

Classic Holiday Skin: William Sadler in Die Hard 2
'I didn’t learn I'd be naked until I got there for the costume fitting.'
I actually started this post last Christmas. I knew it was time to feature Die Hard, but ended up doing an Actors & Skin piece on actor Hart Bochner who was in the first film. (HERE:) I couldn't let the memorable scene go however, so saved it for this year.
I was still a teenager when I first saw the film on VHS, and vividly remember being shocked when early in the film, actor William Sadler pops up doing some naked tai chi. I didn't know who Sadler was at the time, but have since seen him in many of television and movie roles. I'm sure you have to. The talented actor seems to be in everything, including hits like Bill & Ted's Bogus Adventure, The Green Mile, Disturbing Behavior and The Shawshank Redemption
'I got to the costume fitting and asked what I was wearing in the scene. We then tried on everything else, and then Renny [Harlin] said, “Actually, I was thinking you would be nude.” And I said, “Well, if you push that scene off until the end of the movie and get me in the gym, I’ll see what I can do.'
