A Christmas Story: Cowboy Deluxe by Studio1x
'Just a single dad just trying to make my way through life.'
Every Christmas I spotlight a lot of holiday hunks. Men, mostly from Hallmark Christmas movies. Men with a heartwarming story facing obstacles at Christmas. Well this, is a true Christmas heartwarming story, one I doubt Hallmark would sadly never tell. Netflix maybe, but more likely Prime, Paramount Plus or HBO Max.
So many struggle financially, seems even more over the last several years. Struggles to pay rent, heat and electricity. That doesn't include all the other expenses like food, car payments and insurance. Often there's not much left for extras. Christmas is all about extras, especially extra expenses. Financial stress is felt all year long, but no more so that at Christmas.
It's bad enough when it's just you, or you and a partner, but add children into the mix and it can be a depressing time of year. Parents want to do the best for their children, and provide them with not just the essentials, but positive memories and experiences. They want them to feel safe, to feel loved, and to feel special. I can't imagine the stress of living pay cheque to pay cheque with a child.
I remember starting to think about gifts as soon as that Sears catalog arrive in late August or early September. I went through those toy pages hundreds of times, circling items and making sure my parent knew exactly what I wanted. I wasn't until years later, I realized how much stress that caused my parents. It was only as an adult, that I truly appreciated all the sewing, babysitting and odd jobs my mother did to ensure we had gifts under the tree. One year, when jobs were scarce, we even took in a student border for the year to make extra cash.
Randy, (Cowboy Deluxe) knows that stress too well. As a single day, he sometimes juggles two and three jobs to ensure his son is well taken care off. Still, even with multiple jobs, making a little extra to buy Christmas presents can still be a struggle. That's where Santa Jim from Studio1x comes in. As many FH readers know, for several years Jim shot original holiday content for the site. After a move to a new city however, Jim had no studio space, or model contacts to continue shooting. Not just for FH, but at all.
Earlier this year however, Jim started dipping his toe back into photography, and that's how he first met Randy. Randy wasn't a model, nor had ever modeled before, but answered an add Jim had placed for a photographer's assistant. Without a studio, Jim was trying out doing location shoots, which meant given he shoots nudes, mostly working outside in the woods. Working in the woods, meant sometimes long walks to a secluded place to shoot, meaning lugging equipment along with him. Although models were usually helpful, Jim didn't want to put that responsibility on them, so often hired a PA on his shoots.
Randy worked several times with Jim as a PA, and the two got to be friends. On one shoot, after one of the two models he was shooting didn't show up, Jim suggested Randy step in. Although reluctant at first, Randy gave it a shot, not modeling completely nude, but being the clothed male in a cmnm shoot. This led to Jim and Randy planning a future shoot, this one with Randy being the only model, and this time, shooting completely nude.
Well, just like on Hallmark, obstacles arose.... The first time they planned a shoot, it was thwarted by Randy's a partner. When she heard about the shoot, she thought she'd like to be included. Instead of a full frontal Randy shoot, it turned into a PG rated couples boudoir shoot. She and Randy.... are no longer together.
For the next planned shoot, Jim and Randy made sure it was just the two of them. They actually headed back into the woods, in the same spot Jim had shot in before, when Randy was assisting. Just as Randy slipped off his underwear however, they were interrupted by a very angry man who claimed they were on his property. Jim found this hard to believe given they were far back in the woods on what appeared to be public land. The man stormed off, swearing and threatening to call the police.
Jim and Randy shot for a few minutes, but decided maybe they better not take any chances. That proved a smart move as when they walked back to Jim's car, Randy thankfully fully dressed, they were met by two police officers demanding to know what they were doing. Jim managed to smooth talk his way out, but again, Randy's opportunity to model, again, had to be postponed.
We'll... as you can beautifully see, the forth attempt at a solo shoot did indeed happen, and was a total success. Check out the final chapter of this Christmas story on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

12 Days: Marco Grazzini in Christmas Under the Lights
'The heart grows when it glows.'
Sex, or at least a skin, certainly works on me. It's especially effective when the skin is on the hot abs of actor Marco Grazzini. I've been seeing the commercials for Hallmark's Christmas Under the Lights for a couple of weeks now. I of course had to stop and watch every time Marco's character lifted his shirt, and exposing his abs, to wipe a little sweat off his brow.
Although that was really the only skin in the movie, it was still worth pressing record on the PVR. I enjoyed the movie as well, although I have to say, the alpaca's gave Marco some competition in the cute department. In the film, Emily, (Heather Hemmens) returns home to her family farm to help her brother plan the Christmas carnival. It's there she meets Luke. (Marco)
Luke is an artist who Emily convinces to create some pieces for the event. Luke ends up making some stained glass lit art animals that light up the barn and of course, Emily's heart, not to mention her libido. It's no wonder, Marco had mine quivering as well. I'd seen the Toronto born actor before, his modeling work, and his roles in Hallmark films and on the sit-com Kim's Convivence. Marco's also a regular on the drama Virgin River, a show I have yet to check out.

12 Days: Robert Brian Wilson in Silent Night, Deadly Night 🎅
'He knows when you've been naughty'
When Silent Night, Deadly Night was released in November of 1984, it was generally panned by critics. Siskel and Ebert condemned the film, with Siskel saying 'Shame on you' to the production crew on air during a segment of Siskel and Ebert at the Movies. Leonard Maltin called it 'a worthless splatter film' with the critic for the Los Angeles Times saying that it was safe to predict the film will start making 'Worst Movie of All Time' lists.
I get some of the criticism, at least in the context of the time it was made. Although there'd certainly been other Christmas Horror movies, (Black Christmas) Silent Night, Deadly Night may have been one of the first mainstream films to weave in so many children, childhood Christmas traditions, and depict such violent actions from a Santa Clause. 🎅
We're used to bad Santa's today, but at the time, I can understand it being shocking. That being said, the movie wasn't for children, and children certainly shouldn't see it. Even today, 40 years later, I can see this film being nightmare inducing for anyone child who see's it, especially if they still believe in Santa.
Still, there were some positives among all the negative reviews. The Hollywood reported complimented the director, and praised the cinematography. They also praised actress Gilmer McCormack, who played Sister Margaret. Even with all the critical bashing, the movie opened big.
On its opening weekend, the film finished eighth, grossing $1,432,800. It outgrossed Wes Craven's classic A Nightmare on Elm Street, which opened the same day.
The film made an impact however, and resonated with viewers. Years after it was pulled from theatres, viewers found it on home video and made it a cult Christmas classic. I think one of the reasons was how well they told the back story. It wasn't rushed, writers Paul Caimi and Michael Hickey and Charles E. Sellier Jr didn't rush through it's telling. Billy's backstory, and motivation for who he became at 18, was carefully laid out in the first chunk of the film.
So many horror films rush through a Killer's backstory, either shoving it quickly into dialogue, or trying to explain it quickly at the end. Billy's backstory was almost like two separate stories, from the first traumatic incident, through it's aftermath, with Billy living in a orphanage, run by a nun not scared of a little corporal punishment. By the time we're introduced to Billy at 18, we know him well, and fully understand his terror about Christmas, Santa and their connection withs sex and naughtiness.
One of the other reasons we know, and yes like, Billy so much is actor Robert Brian Wilson. Robert had never acted before this film, and was encouraged to audition by his girlfriend at the time. His inexperience as an actor actually worked well as it mirrored Billy inexperience with both adulthood, and coping with all that comes with it.
As for male skin, there's a little. There are three 'love scenes', all featuring shirtless hotties. Two, one near the beginning, and one featuring Billy, (Wilson) also include brief shots of butt. Their oddly shot though, ensuring we don't see too much. The angle int he see with Wilson however, is shot in a way, that oddly adds to it's hotness. As the camera scans up the two naked bodies, we get a rather long view of Wilson's hot, hairy behind.

If I had one complaint about the film's nudity, it was about the female nudity. Now FH readers know I love me some on-scree nudity, male or female, but the female nudity in this film was violently gratuitous. I guess it was an 80's thing, but almost every woman killed by a Santa had her breasts showing. It was most disturbing in the first killing, (given her relationship to Billy) but it continued in two additional scenes and deaths. I'm guessing it didn't seem so odd or offensive in the 80's.
That criticism aside, I'm a huge fan of this film. Not only because of the well told story, and how much I love a horror/holiday combo, but because of the visuals. The Christmas scenes, especially in the toy store, scream the 1980's, the decade I experienced most of my Christmas memories. The colors, the retro toys on the shelves are like taking a time machine back to when I was a kid. If like me, you enjoy a Horror over the holidays and haven't seen the film yet, do!

A Vintage Vantage: Holiday Edition
'Christmas presents come and go, but Christmas memories last a lifetime.'
Since the holidays are all about memories and tradition, it's become a FH tradition to look back over Christmas. I love featuring vintage imagery of the male form, especially holiday and themed images. As old as these images are, I hope a few are new to you.
A tried my usual search places, but couldn't place this cute holiday hunk. Anyone know his name? I'm sure many would love to find him beneath your tree, 🎄ready and excited to be unwrapped.

Naughty Number Nine! Colby Harris by Gordon Nebeker
'For many years now, we have invited one of my models to join us during the Christmas season to be our Christmas Elf and help finish the tree and spread some Christmas cheer!'
Spreading a little cheer, especially at this time of year is really the reason for FH. Photographer Gordon Nebeker summed it up perfectly. Most artists are motivated by passion, for art, for the subject they're shooting, for the creative process. All however, should also be having just a little bit of fun. That why the artists I featured capture the male form, and the reason I focus on it. It can be erotic for sure, sexy and provocative, and sometimes a little bit risky. The creative process however, should also bring some cheer, and a dose of innocent, child-like fun.
I've been so lucky to feature Gordon's Christmas Elves for almost a decade now, starting with Mr. Herzog back in 2015. Since then, there have been 8 different Elves, (Mr. Herzog and Mark were hired twice to trim Gordon's branches) This year, Colby becomes Elf number nine!
Within the Elf world, especially within his pack, Colby Harris is considered an eminent Elf! I first noticed his Elf magic almost a year ago, and have been following his Elving, aka modeling work ever since. I was fortunate to have featured his work with StudioMGphotographer earlier this year. (HERE:) Colby has had a busy year, working with some of my favorite chroniclers of the Elves, and with the male form.
'I thought the theme was very fun and I was excited to see what I would bring to the Christmas Tree helper series. One of my favorite things about working with Gordon is the insight he gives me. I’m still learning so much every time I step in front of a camera. Gordon collaborates by letting me try things that fail and succeed; his cues are helpful, and I’ll keep them in mind for my next shoot. '
Over the years, Gordon has become a bit of an Elf whisperer, and knows instinctively how to spot an Elf who's a great stocking stuffer, and well hung with care. Gordon shares that Colby slipped into character, as seamlessly as he slipped out of his clothes. Gordon couldn't have asked for a better Christmas Elf, one who expressed his personality, brought the Christmas cheer, all with his great sense of humor!
When looking back on the first post almost a decade ago, I was reminded how much has changed since then. Over Christmas, I often schedule my posts ahead of time, as I'm often not home, or near the computer at posting time. Back in 2015, I spent Christmas with my family, including both of my parents. Since then, both had sadly left us, I still usually spend it with family, but it's not the same.
When most of us grew up, if we were lucky, it was changed. Many of have experienced having our Parents plan, organize and create our holidays. They led the call for holiday cheer. At some point, as many of us have experienced, those roles reversed. The last decade or so, they depended on me, to decorate their house and do their shopping. It was my siblings, their children and I who were now in charge of collecting the spirit and bringing the cheer. Although things inevitably change, the key is maintaining the cheer, no matter where, and who you're with.
I, along with Gordon and Colby hope you feel the festive. That in some small way, wherever and however you're spending your Christmas,.... That those viewing the series, feel a small sense of the cheer and joy that went into creating them. Merry Christmas!

Just Toying, (and Boying) Around: Ethan by Frisky Frolic
'We were toying around with festive holiday attire.'
They say that some of our best, and most memorable moments are unplanned, random and spontaneous. That's especially true when it comes to Christmas morning. As kids, we couldn't really plan our Christmas mornings. Sure, our parents planned, the gifts, the days activities, but it was really what Santa left under the tree that determined the day.
At our house, I knew my siblings and I would get up around 5 or 6am. We were allowed to open our stockings, but that was it until our parents got up a few hours later. Then, we had a quick breakfast and opened our gifts. That's when the unplanned fun began. I'll never forget unwrapping toys, that smell of fresh plastic I'll forever associate with Christmas morning. I loved that smell, only years later understanding how unhealthy those chemicals actually were...
The next few hours were spontaneous bursts of fun, going from one toy and activity to another. One Christmas morning, it was all about playing with a racing set. The following year it was action figures, and a war with my younger brother. As I got older, it was about building my new model, working on a doodle art, or playing the newest Parker Brothers board game. Later, it became more about video games, and starting the new book I was gifted.
No matter the year, ,my age, or where I was, it was those brightly wrapped packages that determined how I'd be spending the morning. It's that child-like feeling of fun and spontaneity that I always feel and enjoy from the work of JayBee from Frisky Frolic. JayBee is one of my favorite artists to feature, and one of the most proficient photographers blending the erotic with innocence for imaginative and sexy fun.
I always enjoy featuring JayBee's work, but for some reason, I most associate his visuals with the holidays. In part, because it was a holiday that first led me to his work. We had planned on a new Christmas themed series for this year, but complications with scheduling got in the way. Thanks to JayBee's extensive archive however, there were still several holiday shoots we had not yet featured.
Although as an artist, JayBee certainly planned ahead for his shoot with Ethan. He planned the time, the location, and made sure he had plenty of festive fashions and decorations on hand. His direction to Ethan though, was just to have fun. Grab the items he wanted to wear, and un-wear, and just enjoy himself and play with whatever items grab is attention.
Just like a child on Christmas morning, JayBee and Ethan knew they'd have fun, and that they'd end up with great images. How they got there however, was all about random pieces of clothing, big red bows, spontaneity, and most of all, imagination. Tapping into those feelings of excitement, of waking up on Christmas morning. You may no have know exactly what you'd be doing, but you knew it was going to be so much fun.

Santa's Here!
'Shocking... disturbing... The movie they tried to ban.'
Regular readers of FH may remember that I featured the Christmas horror flick Silent Night, Deadly Night once before. That was a few years ago, when I'd only seen the flick on DVD. But... given the 3-disc 4K UHD + Blu-Ray set was released just this month, I knew it was time for another look back at the murdering Santa flick.
Like so many it seems, especially recently on-line, I'm not normally drawn to real-life actual killers. Even if their hot, (and he is) call me crazy, but murder and violence for me, is a turn off. That doesn't mean however, that I'm not drawn to fictional killers, especially really ones, played by actors in horror flicks I enjoy.
I think actor Robert Brian Wilson was one of the hottest young actors to don the fur, velvet and black leather on screen. Silent Night, Deadly Night marked his professional acting debut, and although brand new to films, his turn as damaged 18 year old Billy was memorable and helped the film become a cult classic. Check out more of Robert, and of Billy, on theNEXT PAGE HERE:

Merry Christmas
& Happy Hanukkah
To All Those Celebrating today!
The two biggest winter holidays, Christmas and Hanukkah only converge an average of five times a century. Today is both Christmas, and the first day of Hanukkah. Since Christmas is officially just one day, today is mostly Noel nudity. With Hanukkah spanning the next 8 days and nights, I'll feature more from the holiday in the next week. No matter what or how you're celebrating, I wish for you a week of memorable moments!

It Doesn't Just Fit—It Flaunts!
phegyz
A·wry :Away from the appropriate, planned, or expected course; amiss.
As usually, this post began with my spotting just one image. The hot image of phegyz at the top of this post. I didn't know who it was at first, but when I saw the hottie in the thong, I had to find out who was 'barely' wearing it. That led me not to phegyz, but to the Twitter page of AWRY menswear. The page was full of hot men who'd purchased the undies, and shared images of them wearing them on-line.
Now, I'm not advertising, nor promoting the brand, but... when I went to their website, (HERE:) I got lost in the hundreds of images of hot models in their undies. These certainly were not the undies we found in the Hanes value pack under the Christmas tree.
I didn't love the hot models, I also loved the images. The site did a great job creating visuals with not only sexy, but unique poses for the models. Sometimes underwear ads can be a little generic, but the images on the site didn't just promote itty bitty undies, but also the models. So many of the images really captured the unique personalities of the guys squeezed into the product. I recognized a few of the models, and even featured a couple previously on the site.
I also liked the brands mission statement, using Awry not as an acronym, but it's true meaning, 'away from the expected or normal path.' Although things have changed, men's underwear was at one time thought to have to be conservative, for comfort and not as a form of expression. This brand clearly doesn't subscribe to that notion at all.
"Awry" also means “perverse” or “wrong," so naming the brand AWRY is our way of smirking at anyone with a narrow idea of masculinity and of what men should or shouldn’t wear. We believe you deserve to look sexy and feel confident, no matter how little you’re wearing.'
Whether you visit the website or Twitter page, or like the undies at all, I thought like I did, you might enjoy the models and the images. I loved the selection of guys they chose, and it's clear they encouraged them to play with the product and have fun during the shoot.

Peek A Pube
It's become sort of a FH visual tradition, to feature the work of Jeff from ShutterClickPhx over the holidays. It began a few years ago when I was putting together a piece featuring some of Jeff's favorite images. (HERE:) It certainly didn't start out as a Christmas post, and images were in anyway holiday related.
Jeff didn't really want to talk about his work, or the models in the images. We've covered that ground previously when I first profiled his work back in 2016. (HERE:) Jeff was up for another feature, but wanted to discuss his life and his work when he's not behind the camera. Given it was December, much of his time was spent volunteering and helping those in need.
Most of us like to think we're 'giving back', but many us don't. For years, every Christmas I thought of volunteering, but it was only a few years ago, after working on Jeff's piece, that I got serious about it. Although holiday volunteering was the goal, as I already knew, help is needed all year long. There are always new people calling at Christmas, but it's keeping after the spirit of giving subsides, that's the hard part.
The Christmas story aside, I also love Jeff's work, and his images fit so beautifully with my Twixmas theme. I love a little peak of pubes, and I think crotch cleavage shots are so underrated. For women, the shot showing a little breast cleavage is a classic, I'd love to push for a little equality with hot male c groin glimpses becoming the norm!

The last image of model Shane Prechtel was just last week. As usual, Shane wasn't wearing much, he was nude and holding a big red Christmas ball. (HERE) I've featured quite a few nude shots over the last five years, most taken by RMark Photography. This set however, were selfies that Shane took with his phone. Given today's theme, not to mention how much I enjoy Shane's work, when I saw that Shane had posted these, I had to ask him to share!
