Lajos Balázsovits in Vizi Privati, Pubbliche Virtù

$

'Crown Prince Rudolf spends his days wastefully indulging in his most base desires on his sprawling lush estate, filled with young nubile and nude women and a plethora of randy, nude men.'

Sounds like a good pitch for a movie to me! Especially when the Crown Prince is played by the delicious Hungarian actor Lajos Balázsovits. The clip that added below is just the first few minutes of the movie which begins with a naked Rudolf waking from a nap, taking a dip and playing and kissing pretty much everyone he encounters, including his nanny.

Although 1976's Vizi Privati, Pubbliche Virtù (Private Vices, Public Pleasures) is about Rudolf, as well as his half-brother and half-sister, trying cut free, and stay free from Rudolf's father, it boils down to pretty much an hour and of half of naked bodies dancing, playing and having sex. Lajos is naked for much of the movie, and when he's dressed, there is usually someone naked around him.

After re-watching Fanny Hill for a post I did a week or so ago, I was anxious to find another sexy period piece. Private Vices, Public Pleasures certainly fit the bill! Unlike many soft core films of the time, the male naked body is given as much attention, or more as the female body. So much so in fact, that the female lead, and the object of Rudolf's attention, the beautiful, Mary Vetsera (Teresa Ann Savoy) is a hermaphrodite, something that doesn't seem to faze the Crown Prince even for a second.

The film has it's share of drama, but for the most part is is almost a musical. Men an women dancing and skipping around naked enjoying the day, the music and each other. Lajos is captivating as the Prince, slim, but open to sharing his body with pretty much everyone he encounters. The actor worked sporadically through the seventies, but his roles began to decrease and now 70, seems to have retired with his last credit in 2010.

Viva l'Italia! Marco by New Manhattan Studios

Earlier this year I was happy to be able to feature New Manhattan Studios work with Italian heartthrob Marco. (A Consuming Coiffure) I am a sucker for a tall, lean, not to mention hot, guy
with long hair, and the poofier the hair... the better!

In the mix of images that Wes sent on were this series featuring Marco holding, playing and wrapping himself around the Italian flag. I loved the way Marco used the flag in his poses, and way Wes and Alex captured the vibrant green, red and whites. Wes wrote a bit about this particular series of shots on NMS's site and the words below are from his blog post about the shoot.

'For those of us of a certain age, many of the brightest stars in the firmament of international media celebrities have Italian names. In the decades immediately following World War II, Italian cinema flourished and names such as Fellini and Antonioni were world renown. Italy defined la dolce vita (the beautiful life) for the world, from design, fashion and cuisine to the cinematic arts. Italian cinema reeked of cool, sexy chic. Italian beauties Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida were international sex symbols.'

'Heir to this tradition is Marco, a 6'1", 22-year-old model from Naples. At the time of his sessions, he was studying acting at one of the leading drama schools in New York; appropriately enough, the alma mater of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Marlon Brando. We can’t vouch for his acting skills, but having worked as a model in Europe, Marco is a natural in front of the camera. But if looks count for anything in this business (duh!), watch for this face. Marco backs up his contemporary European sense of style and sexy jock vibe with traditional Italian good looks.'

'We had the good fortune to schedule two sessions with him during his time in New York. The first was our year-end post in 2014. The second session was captured less than a half year later in early 2015, before the end of his term at school. Marco's is one of several 2015 photo sessions that are just now being brought out of the vault. Whereas his first session had more of a fashion focus, Marco's second session was a physique art session that included implied and partial nudes. A number of the images are available in the studio's Fine Art Gallery and still more in Captured Shadows, the studio's physique art portfolio. Marco is one of three models featured in Captured Shadows #4.'

'We hope you enjoy this follow-up session with one of our favorite models. With the opening of his second gallery, we have written Marco to make sure we get on his calendar for one of his future trips to New York as a model or actor. Since we started by talking ‘60s names, I’ll toss in another for you. I have refrained from using any pictures of myself on the blog, but the shot below of Marco at work in front of two panels (being used as light modifiers) was my favorite behind-the-scenes shot from his session. So just this once, I’m making an exception. Let’s think of my visage on the right as a tribute to the famed 60s director, Alfred Hitchcock. (If you’re old enough, you’ll understand.)'

Joe Dallesandro in Je t'aime moi non plus

In my attempt to find movies, and share images that I haven't seen before, I went digging into the Joe Dallesandro archives. I have seen, and posted about his Warhol films, but until the other night I had not seen Joe in 1976's Je t'aime moi non plus. (I Love You, I Don't) I haven't seen any of Joe's films in awhile, but right now, this movie, from French writer and director Serge Gainsbourg, might be one of my favorites.

I was immediately drawn in to Gainsbourg's story of two truckers who happen upon a rundown and pretty desolate truck stop. The two truckers are Krassky (Dallesandro) and his lover Padovan, played by Hugues Quester. Krassky, a little tired of Padovan's neediness, finds himself drawn to the beautiful, but almost androgynous Johnny. (Jane Birkin) Krassky is torn, but drawn to Johnny and much of the middle of the film is the two of them attempting to have sex. Problem is, Krassky is only comfortable with anal sex which proves both painful and loud.

Above: Joe by Jack Mitchell

After trying in a few places, they end up out in the middle of nowhere and finally succeed having sex in the back of the truck. Of course the course of true lust never runs easy and the triangle has a rather satisfying, but dark and abrupt ending. Dallesandro is captivating as usual, and I was hoping for more close ups of his beautiful eyes and face.

Director Serge Gainsbourg was seeing actress Jane Birkin at the time of filming so there are plenty of lingering shots of her naked body, especially her curvy backside. Gainsbourg does however give us a fair about of Dallesandro's beautiful butt as well, especially in the inner tube scene that I capped below. There is just one brief frontal when the pair comes out of the water, but I found myself so into the story, I wasn't bothered there were not more. There was plenty of Joe, and a very quick frontal from Hugues Quester as well.

Jai Courtney in The Exception

I always though actor Jai Courtney was talented, not to mention incredibly hot, but I didn't know quite how popular he was until I featured him back in 2009. I did a small post, featuring his butt baring scene from Packed to the Rafters, not realizing it, and almost every post featuring Jai, would end up being some of the sites most 'clicked' upon posts.

Since that post, Jai has gone on to big screen success in films including; Spartacus, Jack Reacher, Unbroken and Divergent. In last years The Exception, Jai's nude scene included this frontal which hit the net with a lot of fanfare last week. If you haven't got on the Jai bandwagon yet, I say welcome aboard!

Bad Hombre: Mark-Eugene Garcia by Michael Berga

'We have some bad hombres and we're going to get them out'
A Total Idiot

One the multitude of things I dislike so much about the idiot who received the most Electoral college votes was how successful he was at corrupting things that were once positive. I know the term 'political correct' has been over used, and over done by some, but at it's core, being politically correct was simply about the consideration of others. Somehow, despite decades of fighting for the rights of those who were not born male, straight, white, rich and physically healthy.... maligning fellow human beings, took someone to the White house.

Great artists and story tellers know the best response to idiocy is not to argue back, that is rarely successful and a great waste of time. The best way to respond is to use one's talents to mimic, mock and shine a light on the hypocrisy, the stupidity and the danger lurking in the dark shadows of diversion. To pull down the cloak and mirrors to see the Emperor without his clothes. Now, no one really is interested in seeing the President without clothing, but Mark-Eugene Garcia on the other hand, is a totally different story. For his third appearance on FH, Mark shares why and how he transformed into such a bad, but oh so sexy, Hombre.

'It began on Model Mayhem. Michael Berga hit me up about doing a themed shoot with a complete forest scene set with a costume. He said it would involve full frontal nudity and that he was going for a vintage stag look. I wasn’t quite sure what it was at the time, but I was interested in trying something new. When I got to his studio I was amazed at the set that he had built. It was something completely new to me. A bit of a reality check that this was something that I do now. There were hanging lights, as well as ropes rigged so that it looked like I was tossing a lasso, a river, a campfire: It was a mix of crazy, thrilling, and mostly just awesome.'

'The costume ( or suggestion of one) was equally as exciting. It was the first time I had to oil up (for the right glow on the skin) as well as get mustached up. I learned a lot. Sweat melts spirit gum, so mustaches must be reapplied. Self fluffing is a normal thing. Oil is slippery in boots. And most importantly, when you are up on a hot set, oiled up, posing, dressed in a fake mustache and cowboy boots- laughter is important. There were may laughs, as well as killer conversation. Michael was absolutely fun and professional and this became one of my favorite shoots.'

'As cool as the shots were, they kind of slipped out of my mind over the years. Time passed and I moved on to other projects. But recently a certain person used the term “bad hombre.” At first, as a Latino, I was insulted that he used those words to describe what he thought bad people were. But then I decided, rather than take it as a insult, I would embrace it. The moment he said it, I incorporated it into my own persona. Adding it to my facebook, my bio- everything. I embraced my inner bad hombre. Jokingly, telling a friend about that feeling, he said I should make a calendar of Bad Hombre poses with a cowboy hat and mustache. That’s when I remembered …. I had already done it. Apparently I was a bad hombre long before being a bad hombre was a thing. And I had the pics to prove it!'

Kudos to Sam in Single White Female

'Allie, he came in my mouth, and then he tried to beat the shit out of me because I wanted to tell you. You know... It was an accident. But... He deserved it.'
Hedra, Single White Female

The other night while flipping channels, 1992's Single White Female was playing on the 90's channel. It was about a quarter through, but I pressed record on the DVR anyway. I never get tired of re-watching Steven Weber's nude scene. Weber isn't new to nudity, he had a butt scene in Just Looking, (1995) and was on stage in a revival of Hair. Watching him again as Sam in SWF had me thinking how unique the role, and the nude scene actually was.

It wasn't just that Weber gives us a flash frontal, it was also the context of his nude scene. The female driven story actually has a cast of mostly stereotypical roles. Allsion (Bridget Fonda) is a pretty bland heroine and even Hedra (Jennifer Jason Leigh) isn't a particularly deep or interestingly written villain. Her killings make little sense and are filmed to shock rather tell any sort of interesting story. Supposedly Hedra wants to remove anyone, (or anything...poor puppy) close to Allison, including Allison's requisite, and pretty boring, upstairs gay neighbour Graham.

Problem is, Allison and Sam's relationship wasn't that solid to begin with. Graham nor the puppy were in Hedra's way and by the time Hedra killed Graham, Allison was already onto her obsession. Hedra's copying behaviour was enough to let everyone know she had some issues. The only character that was remotely unique was Weber's Sam. With two female leads, Sam was a supporting character, in many ways written the way the female third wheel is written in a male driven movie.

That nude scene however, had a element not often seen in mainstream cinema, not in 1992, nor in 2017. Male vulnerability, especially male sexual vulnerability seems almost taboo to many. Female vulnerability is so common in movies and TV, it is almost not even noticed by much of the audience. Almost every night on almost every TV show there are women in peril and needy women wanting a man or needing a hero to get them out of some troublesome situation.

In SWF, Sam was needy. Allison left him and it was Sam who was calling every night, dropping by to visit and working to get Allison back. In my life, I know many straight guys who get obsessed and emotionally dependent on their relationships with women. I have been the sounding board for many straight friends who are devastated that the woman they love is not interested in them. It is pretty common. I think the difference with movies and TV is that most (although not all) guys bounce back fairly quickly on their own. It is not really that uncommon.

Sam is not only the one in need of Allison, he is also the one sexually assaulted by her best friend. The sex scene in SWF is sexual assault, and unlike the stereotypical reactions of the rest of the characters, Sam's reaction was of disgust and anger. Although some idiots might argue that as a man he should have 'enjoyed it', that argument is up there with 'she was asking for it.'

I have seen some well written and vulnerable men on a few cable shows and gay themed movies, yet it is still rare to see one in a mainstream motion picture. It was that 'Sam' was such a groundbreaking character as it was one we just don't see that often. Weber also did a great job of keeping Sam balanced and not moving too far one way or the other. He was needy, not desperate and his vulnerablity was written as normal and not something spotlighted as a week personality trait. Kudos to the writers and to Steven for this rather noteworthy character in an otherwise run of the mill 90's thriller.

Not Just For Show: Talon by Peter Rowen

'With event or nature photography, you are trying to document what is already there, whereas in the studio you are responsible for every detail of your image. It's a lot more demanding than I expected. For all that it's been an interesting challenge.'

The quote from photographer Peter Rowen struck me as we went back and forth deciding on which of his shoots to feature next. Some of you might remember that the first time I feature Peter's work, (HERE:) it was images from a shoot with Brandon Connelly, a favorite model of mine to feature. Brandon had sent on a variety of images from a number of different photographers, but Peter's work really stood out.

The shots were taken in studio and I loved how skillfully and cleanly Peter captured Brandon, both in physique poses, and in addition with some beautiful portrait shots that I thought were some of the best head shots in Brandon's portfolio. When talking to Peter about his work, he shared that primarily he shoots outside, capturing mainly sporting events as well as event, and a nature photography.

Peter loves shooting outside, in fact the next couple of times that I featured his imagery, we went along with Peter as he captured Jake (HERE:) and Brent (HERE:) in the hills and forests above his home in Seattle. As much as Peter loves working outside, he is also loves exploring the differences and challenges with working in studio. Peter's also been focused on bringing his studio experiences to to nature photography in what he calls his 'nature portrait series.'

Although we discussed FH featuring another location shoot, I was glad Peter suggested we head back into the studio, particularly given the subject of the studio shoot was Talon. Some of you might remember Talon from my previous piece on his work with Michael Anthony Downs for AAG's Red Hot site. (HERE:) This shoot in fact, occurred in the morning on the same day that Talon flew to Florida for his AAG's shoot. I love Talon's look from his auburn hair, incredibly incredible body and his expressive face and eyes.

'Talon was extremely forward and eager to show off. As you may already know, he's a mixed martial-arts champion as well as a model, and you can see it a little in his photos. He has a few minor nicks and scars here and there. I tried to incorporate them because I love that he's a real person, and his gym body is not just for show.'

'Although he's a fighter, his personality is the opposite of what you'd expect: he's very warm and friendly, and just a real pleasure to work with. He can also be quite goofy and is something of a nerd; he does cosplay at our local comic-con. I'd love to do a character-themed shoot with him someday.'

I love that just as he did with Brandon, Peter captured so many unique poses showing off Talon's hot body, as well as some great portrait shots. I would also eagerly look forward to seeing those images if Peter ever gets the chance to shoot Talon in a cosplay themed shoot! Until then, Peter and Talon are planning a shoot for the nature portrait series out amidst the natural beauty of the Cascade Mountains.

The Daytime EMMY's may not be televised anymore, but some actors deserve more exposure than a computer screen can provide. Actor Kyler Pettis, so hot in the image above from Brad Everett Young, deserves to be right clicked and opened in a new, bigger window. BTW Kyler made sure to say the cigarette was just a prop.

Actors & SKIN: Rick Rossovich

Paint It Black (1989)

1989's Paint It Black was Rick's first crack at nudity on film. Rick, sporting a sexy beard, only showed a bit, and the grainy VHS copy showed less, but it was the beginning of a series of scenes featuring his beautiful beefy behind. Rick's backside was featured in a number of films starting in 1989. Almost 15 years later, the butt still held it's own on screen even in a darkly lit scene from ER in 2004.

I think I found all the films to cap except 2003's Artworks. Looks like a great scene, if anyone knows where to find a copy, please let me know. I did find a cap someone made that I added below. Tropical Heat contains the most Rossovich rear with three nude scenes, two of the wet, but I think my favorite is Rick's role, and rear, in 1994'New Crime City.

ACTORS & Skin: Rick Rossovich

Actors & Skin is one of my favorite themes to write about and research. My goal is to take an actor and attempt to find images that cover, and uncover, their entire nudity resume. The problem is, it takes a lot of time, research and sometimes scanning, and purchasing from Amazon and e-bay to ensure I have found as much of the source material as possible. It is especially difficult when the nude scenes come from movies from the 80's and even the 90's that have not made it to DVD.

The research can be fun though, a bit like mystery that needs to be solved. Sometimes I find movies and scenes I had never heard of before. Given the time required, it means that I am careful in choosing which actors to feature. It has to be an actor who, through a movie or role, made a strong impression on me. I usually only do an Actors & Skin piece once every couple of months, but I have a few in the can for the next couple of weeks.

Like many, the volleyball scene from 1986's Top Gun was one of those scenes. To be honest, I don't remember it making that much of an impression the first time I saw the film. I was about 10 or 11 and saw it in the theatre with my father and younger brother. I liked, but didn't love the flick and upon first viewing, the scene didn't really implant the way it later would.

A few years later, I remember eating lunch in high school with a few friends. A couple of the girls I was eating with had recently watched the film and were going on about how hot that scene was. we had a VHS of the film at home, and I remember sticking in the VCR in my room later that night. I got what they were talking about! The volleyball scene was like a erotic ballet of sweaty shirtless men moving in slow motion to music. Tom Cruise may have been the lead in the movie, but it was Rick Rossovich, and his character Slider, that held the lead dance role in the movies volleyball ballet.

'It’s funny because we had a read-through of the script…and the volleyball scene’s like an eighth of a page, a quarter of a page. There’s really nothing in the script about the volleyball scene, so there wasn’t a lot of anticipation about shooting that. It was something that wasn’t thought of, really, beforehand. I think it was a parking lot, as I recall, and they just dumped a load of sand somewhere that had a good backdrop for director Tony Scott. And he just directed it like that. Boom. And he just got shot after shot after shot. And we just had fun.'.

Roxanne (1987)

Rick went on to star in a number of big screen hits including Roxanne with Steve Martin and Navy Seals but it seemed by the early 90's that Rick was mostly working on television and in straight to video film releases. The plus was some of these movies included some great Rossovich rump, the downside was that Rick's talent and on screen strength and magnetism wasn't being used to it's full potential.

Rossovich, seen clearly in the volleyball scene, had an intense masculine energy that was incredibly sexy, especially when experienced on the big screen. Like his Terminator and Navy Seals co-star Michael Biehn, it is a mystery why Rossovich didn't continue the success he had in the mid eighties. My next big memory of Rick was his arc as Tag on the first season of ER. I had forgotten until working on this post that ER, not only saw his talent, but also had the wisdom of getting him as naked as prime time television would permit.

Rick with The Riker Brothers

Rick left acting briefly, I believe working in real estate for awhile. He returned to acting awhile ago and his IMDB page indicates he's back at work in front of the camera filming Where the Streets Have No Name due out next year.  I managed to find most of Rick's skinning scenes in one form or another so be sure to check out the post below for the skin part of Actors & Skin.

Weekend Retreat by Images Male

'Early to bed, early to rise...'

I have never stayed over night at a Bed & Breakfast but I have spent quite a bit of time in one. My cousin used to run a B & B and I spent many evenings there for parties, weddings and functions. They would often hire me when I was a kid to help out when they were having a big party or murder mystery night. I had always thought of B & B's as a place older people would gravitate to and was surprised how many young couples would choose to stay there.

Although I think that I would prefer the ease, and insociable nature of a hotel or motel, some people gravitate to the friendly atmosphere, interesting architecture and social aspect that many B & B's offer. My cousin often mentioned how much of her business was made of up guests on their honeymoons. As odd as this seemed at first, in some ways I guess it makes perfect sense.

B & B's seem more relational in nature than a motel. I can understand that a motel room might make the perfect location for sex, I can also see that for a couple, especially one that just committed to a lifetime together, a B & B might seem a more erotically comfortable location.

But what if you're not in a couple? I wouldn't guess that many people, especially many men, would choose to make their reservations at a Bed and Breakfast. Yet, as you can see from these images from Arlington photographer David Ehrlich of Images Male, it makes the perfect setting, and opulent background for for shooting the male form.

David's images had be imagining the six men featured were brought together at the B & B by their boss for a work related weekend retreat. With no spouses or partners allowed, each of the men are on their own, with a room to themselves for the weekend. Meetings and workshops take up their days, but their evenings are all their own. You can imagine that many of the guys rarely get an entire evening to themselves. Inevitably, most up end up out of their clothes, enjoying the room, the vintage cast iron tubs, and especially... their erotic solitude.

Although David actually their boss, he did bring a group of models, including the six featured here, for a work related photography weekend shoot. The workshop event came together thanks to a member of David's photography workshop group who had a friend who was in the process of selling his Bed and Breakfast. Luckily, he was open and supportive of using the location for a workshop photo shoot with a group of male models.

'I maintain an active group of over 100 male models in the Washington DC metro area and whenever I'm arranging a workshop, I put out a casting notice to the entire group. Guys respond and I try to choose a nice balance that will complement each other and provide a range of looks for the photographers.'

I love the feel and detail each of the rooms and how the David was able to capture the personality of both model and the environment around them. The colors were many, but soft and distracting or competing with the model they surround. Most of the rooms contained a large window, perfect for inclusion in many of the shots. The windows also provided David with a great source of natural light that he used in combination with fill (strobe) light in the shoot.

All of the models involved in the workshop brought their own clothes to use as wardrobe for their shoot. They each worked with at least three different photographers throughout the four hour shoot. David shares that one of the of the most popular models in attendance wasn't one that he had actually planned or arranged to be there.

The model was a surprise guest, the Brazilian boyfriend of the B & B who stepped in front of the cameras with great results!   There were so many incredible shots from the shoot in fact, I found it difficult to narrow down my choices for both models and images to feature.  If you want to see more from the B & B shoot, check out some bonus images on the OVER-FLOWHERE, and on Images Male HERE:
