Iwan The Terrible

Actor Iwan Rheon is also celebrating a birthday today, his 30th! This past Sunday, Game Of Thrones finally go one of it's most sadistic characters out of his clothes to show of Rheon's perfectly proportioned posterior.

We have seen Iwan's great butt before in a scene from Misfits which I posted about (HERE:) when I last featured Iwan on FH.

Iwan is without a doubt one of television's most interesting and talented young actors. Not only does Iwan play the evil, and maybe slightly psychotic, Ramsay on GOT, he appears at the same time as the sweet, bumbling and naive Ash on the ITV sit-com Vicious. Not sure any actor has played two such diverse roles, and so well, at the same time on TV that I can recall.

'The ugly duckling doesn't grow into a swan... it doesn't know its a duck. It believes its a swan.'

I was fortunate last fall to have discovered the work of Chicago artist Ray Golm from Covetimage. Since November, Ray has graciously shared both his images, and the stories behind their creation. Usually when I get a set of images, I shoot back a few questions to both artist and model to help me pull together words to accompany their work. With this series featuring model Brian Porcello, Ray again sent back a few words about their work and in the last sentence, added that he felt for this piece, the focus of story should be on Brian's story. That last sentence proved fortuitous, as whenBrian returned my questions, there was more than a few words, but a detailed account of what led him to stepping in front of the camera.

Brian's story is both compelling and inspiring and it's trajectory of events mirrors that of many. In front of Ray's lens, Brian is strong, sexy and confident. It is always fascinating to learn that for many, those feelings don't always come easily. No matter how many times we hear, 'you can't judge a book by it's cover', when we view an image of a sexy, fit and muscular model, we still tend to assume there confidence comes naturally and their life must be easy. Below, in his own words, Brian shares his journey from the little red headed boy who didn't fit in, to the man, now surrounded by love and family, you see in these images from Ray. With intent, Ray kept poses uniform, usually in a standing position, stoic, facing the camera so the focus remained where it belonged, on Brian. Thanks again to Ray for sharing his work, and to Brian, for detailing the story behind them.

My real name is Brian Anthony Porcello. Also known as Anthony, Canelo ( a nickname I received growing up ill explain why later), and bow tie Bri ... but of coarse the typical Ginger gets thrown around a lot but I own up to at as long as you mean well! I grew up very Italian, I am a mix of Caucasian descent but I pride myself on being Sicilian. As the last name is very Italian we definitely grew up on pasta and pizza. No lie, I really loved the spotlight. I am not one of those kids that will swear I wanted this all my life. You'll hear a cop say I have been wanting to be a cop as long as I can remember.... not my case. But I definitely grew up trying to make people look at me. I wanted to be a fire fighter, a skateboarder, a famous singer, an actor, a musician, and a more practical field of study - a mechanic.

I have the craziest passion for cars... my closest friends and family know I go through them like water. Since my first car an Astro van at 17, blew the engine real quick and am now on my 25th car! nothing amazing until now... I would buy a beater or something with potential to look cool for about 1000 then a few months later id be bored. never had the money to really invest so it was easier to keep changing them. One car I owned for literally 6 days and I let it go for dirt cheap cuz I was so unhappy. I made a lot of very quick decisions growing up. Nobody really being a remodel either. I never really knew what I wanted out of life. Just did whatever came along.

I grew up being different. Seriously if I grew up in this generation I might have had a chance at sitting at the cool kids lunch table. But man I got picked on so much growing up. I am born and raised in Chicago the city. Getting picked on, pushed around, and turned down by all the girls, and never getting picked to be on the team with the guys. I used to pretty much be alone and just cause a mess of things. I had decent grades. Never failed a class of anything. just not cool enough I guess. My neighbourhood was on 63rd and Kedzie, just east of midway airport. Being one of the only white kids let alone, ginger, in my area made for a rough start. I got called names, pushed around and it didn't make it an easier that I was super pale, super short, and stuck out like a sore thumb.

Through high school I took up music trying at my ambitions to be a musician I went from playing the guitar to the cello. Found myself a place to be me in the Improv team my junior year at Curie High School. AS well as joining the tennis team my Sophomore year through senior year. That's about all I was good at at the time, super skinny, very energetic, sociable, good at reading music, and looking for attention. I finally got some height and grew my hair out my senior year. I swear I went from 5'2 to 5'11 between April to October of 2006. Downfall was I was only 140 lbs!now I really stuck out. started dating this girl middle of senior year and she denied me for prom, already had the ticket and took this random girl who used me for a free ticket and ditched me when we got there. yea I wasn't the cool kid. not even close. Graduated 2007 and I honestly don't really see anyone from my school. A few on facebook but none of them are very close with me.

'I decided to be a bit more practical and go to school for automotive tech. HATED IT! I love to work on cars but it isn't a career for me. Over a couple years I just tried to change myself, cleaned up the way I dressed, went from south pole and Timberlands, to Aldo shoes and Abercrombie t shirts. Started with the typical club scene with new friends when I hit 22 a friend of the family told me " you're such a nice guy, you make people laugh and you have everyone's attention, why don't you take advantage of that? and when you get that girl... how will you protect her with your skinny arms?" that might not be the most motivational speech to you, but not sure if it was his cool cars, hot girls, or confidence.... but the next day I bought a bench press set-up, curl bar and a few free weights.'

'I had no ideal what I was doing... all I did was lift lift lift. I bought p90x, looked up youtube videos.... I don't care whatever it was I just needed motivation and knowledge. I worked 6 days a week 60 hours a week overnight at a Subway killin it. go to work at 10pm work til 8 am, workout til 10am showered, slept til 8pm and do it all over again. On my day off my sleep pattern was so whacked I usually didn't go out and it was winter anyway. Every single day just doing anything I could think of with those weights. a few months went by with none of my friends seeing me... beach season came around and everyone flipped out, by summer I got to 160. Protein weights and sleep, that's that's all I did. Opportunities started rushing me. People nerve seen a redhead in shape. and I even think my face had more definition as well. After that, parties, clubs, bars, social events, beach, bbq's, and sooooo much love! not to say my body caused all of this... but I owned it.'

'I may not be large and in charge. I don't think I have a great body, I am always so critical of my self and deep inside not feeling good enough for the people around me but they don't know that. And this different sense of accomplishment allowed me to have a new confidence in life. I never thought id be the fit guy when I walk into the room. Constantly being told by people around me, even fellow gym goers, that I have great proportions or they wish they had my motivation. Maybe my story sucks, maybe growing up the way I did isn't the truth you expected, but it made me who I am. I always wish I didn't have it so hard but honestly I am very happy with who it made me.'

'That summer I had an awesome manager at my catering company offer me to join him for his bbq, a few days later we went out with another friend and he introduced me to Boystown on Halsted! we went into this bar named Mini-Bar. Upon entering they offered me a job. Flattered me so much with compliments, bartenders asking me where do I work, who am I, what do I do? I guess nobody there had ever seen a redhead before? hahaha They made me feel special.'

'While working there I had been approached by the nicest groups of people, most becoming friends.I met a few photographers and the rest is history. For about a year and a half I really did shoots for the fun of it. When I had time I would be in front of a camera. During that time I had met an amazing woman who honestly changed my life, Mae Montemayor. She was just this cute innocent girl I met in a best buy parking lot... to my proposing to her on a runway she did for LOLC.'

'She became an amazing model and I am so lucky to be a part of her life. She started off just wanted some professional shots, but when her pics were released she got call after call and now is walking for some amazing designers, hair companies, and photographers. I inspired her she said and then She inspired me to be a better me. And these past couple months I have been killing it. shoot after shoot but all because of this amazing woman who stole my heart and my attention. I hope I could be lucky enough to have her here with me for the rest of time... but until then I will continue to model and aspire for greater along her side.'

No matter where I am in life, how broke I have been or how cool my car is. When you have someone that truly just cares about you, stepping in front of the camera, or on stage for a runway... people there don't care about any of that. They have their eyes, cameras, attention on me! I feel like a million dollars in the spotlight. I don't ever want that to change. One day ill be in a commercial, a tv series, or a movie. My short term goal is to go from that skinny loser to the guy on a box of Calvin Klien underwear and have my story told. To be able to say.... the ugly duckling doesn't grow into a swan... it doesn't know its a duck. It believes its a swan. And as long as you see it, and take it. You can be what you see you are.

If any of you follow hockey, you know the last few play off games pitting the Montreal Canadiens against the Tampa Bay Lightening have been nail biters. The two teams played again Tuesday in Tampa with the Canadiens, trailing Tampa Bay by one, are again facing elimination.

Although I love hockey, there is nothing like the play off's to reignite my passion for the game. I have long been a fan of Canadiens left winger Brandon Prust, but no more so than this past year. Not because he was all over the sports news this week for fines he garnered for commenting publicly about an heated exchange with referee Brad Watson. Prust, usually a respectful player and gentlemen of the sport, was emotional after getting into a fight late in the blow out loss during last Sunday's game.

Being this is FH, there are other things about Prust I admire. Like many other athletes, Prust is often called upon to model and there is something about him, especially that mouth and those great lips of his, that make him incredibly sexy! Prust is also apart of the new reality series Hockey Wives, which looks at the women behind many of the men in the NHL. Maripier Morin, a French Canadian television host, who has been dating Prust, is one of 10 women featured in the series. I must say, I have increased respect for Prust's patience given how.. lets just say chatty, Morin can be.

If...

You're not watching Penny Dreadful, you missed last weeks introduction of the tantalizing Angelique.

Penny Dreadful always wraps me up with it's cinematic visuals and majestic score. I was a bit sceptical about the introduction of the witches, but so far they are hauntingly horrifying! One of the show's weakest points has always been the character of Dorian Gray. I love actor Reeve Carney, but given the writers have never really integrated his character in the main story, he always seems to get sidelined a bit.

Hopefully the introduction of Angelique might bring some much needed passion into his story. Actor Jonny Beauchamp made a memorable impression in his first, and his last scene in the show's most recent episode, Verbis Diablo. Unfortunately, Jonny is only credited in the one episode thus far, but hopefully the writers will bring Angelique back very soon!

Strong Mind, Strong Body: The Renaissance Man by Bobby Shahideh

'As much as I enjoy being in front of the camera, I didn't choose it.'

I profile many models who didn't initially plan on a life in front of the camera. Many are spotted by photographers or agents and begin shooting and working towards a career and life they could never have predicted. They however, made a choice. The heard an offer, or comments about how well they would photograph, and decided to give it a try. For Nick, The Renaissance Man, that choice was made for him at the age of 3.

My first time profiling the work of Phoenix artist Bobby Shahideh was this past January featuring his work with model Joel Swanner. That post, Getting Off Easy, turned out to be one of January's most popular posts! I love Bobby's blend of fashion and physique as well as his use of props, lighting and location. This, in addition to his impeccable use of color weave together to create modern images with a fun and sexy editorial look, and sometimes a retro vibe, to his images. I also love what Bobby refers to as using 'negative space' something he developed from his years of drawing and painting. 'I have always been a fan of negative space, maybe because with commercial photography it is often important to have someplace for graphic designers to put the copy....it is just the way I see the image in my head before I frame it. I tend to like things that are off-balance.'

After connecting on Model Mayhem, Bobby and Nick got together to for an initial meeting over coffee to ensure their personalities meshed before beginning to shoot. As part of that initial coffee meeting was talk about the industry and what it can be like for male models to maneuver their way through it. Who to shoot with, what to shoot and of course that every present question of whether to shoot nude.

'He had an incredible physique, one that keeps getting better and better. At that time, we talked about doing some nudes, and he was up for it. We never go into a shoot only focusing on nudes, we set our sites on a broad and diverse range of work. The nudes just come so naturally to him, and he is incredibly comfortable with his body. Nick is particular in who he shoots them with, so I feel particular flattered; we have a great rapport...one built on trust.'

Nick has an incredible presence in front the camera, a presence that powerfully draws in the viewer. Although his incredible body may initially draws you in, Nick also has the skill and experience to keep you there. With is strength and confidence, not to mention hypnotizing blue eyes, Nick is force to be reckoned with, using his experiences and intelligence to create memorable captures. Nick believes what really sets his apart is his way of thinking, his ability to be outside himself, and see himself how others do, both physically and mentally. 'It allows oneself to really mold one’s character in a positive and attractive way. The sooner you start molding, the better your final sculpture. Proudly, I'm only 25.'

Playing on his strengths, Nick is not satisfied doing plain or simple photo shoots. Nick likes to capture moments of pure beauty, creativity, and dignity within the images. Nick to the time to answer a few questions for myself and FH, expanding more on his work as a model, his shoot with Bobby, shooting sans any clothing, and how he began his modeling career at 3.

Who, or what, got you started with modeling?

'I know where it started but how it stuck is beyond me. I was one of those lucky children put through pageants...I was not that kid though, which actually played in my favor. I stormed out with no routine, just a wild child with big blue eyes and a long strawberry blonde mullet on a chubby rosy face. It makes me laugh that even with all my sport accomplishments in high school including a range of all state awards in several sports, none of my awards stand taller or look more glamorous than my childhood pageant ones. Sadly I barely remember any of it. Most of what I know is from videos and stories Im told. I was like a 3 year old Ozzie Osbourn, I can't remember those years!'

'The pageants died down as I moved away from the city and into the ranch life full of stables and corrals. Then one day, at 19 years old, Im walking through a mall with a group of friends and in the big open center of the mall lays a stage for the infamous model talent searches we're all too familiar with. Knowing my past, my friends joke and push me into signing up. Do the whole walkup on the runway, answer a couple questions, including "name your worst fashion moment ever", priceless. A week later I got a letter with a good size mall gift card and a one year contract with a hair salon as a model if I so chose. Haven't dropped it since.'

What has been your favorite experience modeling thus far?

'Well... I haven't done any exotic shoots or huge name brands yet so I can't say any one stands out but my favorite moments are always seeing the images. It makes it worthwhile and no matter what I've done in the past, there are still moments in every shoot where I'm questioning if this is worth it or not and I am almost ready to walk out and say to hell with it all. The hard workouts can be that way sometimes too and until I get that awesome shoot that's once every few weeks, I am grinding it out and cursing myself the entire way.'

Any odd or strange stories from any shoots or offers from photographers?

'Quite a few uncomfortable stories but odd or strange, probably not in this era. Lets just say I've had a number of photographers try to capture me with more than just the camera. I might have done a few odd themes during a shoot but its modeling, that's what we do. The funny offers are the photographers that beat around the bush with it. One guy lead me on for months about signing up for all these big projects, all sounded good and legit until the end when he had to overly stress, "I need a model that will do ANYTHING for the job". I said yes once but when he came back and said "No, I need to know you're down for whatever it takes", it got pretty clear. Guess I missed my shot at being a millionaire there.'

What factors did you weigh before deciding to take it all off?

'Well I'm pretty comfortable with myself and not afraid to stand behind what I believe so family was never really a problem with me. I hope my little sister never sees any of it but when she's older, I am prepared to handle it. Same goes for my children, so the only thing that would bother me is to see my sister or children getting picked on for something I did. Obviously I weighed it out this way and will try to prepare myself for that day should it come. Insecurity won't work with me regardless of the nude modeling.'

What part of your body are you most happy with?

'What part gets the most attention from others? From an accomplished standpoint, I'd say my biceps, I like where they're at whereas I work a lot harder on all the other areas. From a productive point and overall Im happiest with my brain/mind, I like my unique mix of quirks that gives me my edge. I am happy to say that I'm not going to directly say which body part gets the most attention from others but I'd have to say my eyes probably get noticed most and is one of the stronger attractions for photographers.'

Why do you think you like modeling and any specific photographer you hope to shoot with in the future?

'Expression and exhibitionism! Communication and expression is a nightmare for my generation. Im one of the old soul types stuck in fast current. Right now Im looking to get in with Pat Lee, Micheal Stokes, and someone I shot with a long time ago but we were both kind of starting out, Allan Spiers. Love to work with Bobby again, especially because of how and we push each other beyond. It would impossible to choose a favorite image from all our work together!'

After FH readers enjoy your images and read your words, what is it you would most like them to know about you?

'Good question, this is my defining moment right here. Life is a rugged journey, more rugged for some than others but thats what shapes us. The more path you travel, the more shape you take and the more rugged, the quicker and sharper the shaping comes. I believe in strong mind, strong body, and a life worth living. I've spent the last five years thinking about who I am, the person I want to be, and the life I want to life. I urge more people to do so because too many people walk through it all blindfolded and find themselves trapped halfway through, at the end if you're lucky. As for photographers, I look for different, for eye catchers, for what some might call odd or strange but still taken by it. If someone were scrolling rapidly down a list of photos, where does one stop. My photo. There's a lot of hot guys out there, in the face, in the body, and some in the mind but total grace and an understanding balance of ego whittle the list down and that's where I compose myself.'

Since I generally share my excitement each winter after the first snow, thought I should also commemorate it's final bow. As of my arrival home from work this evening, the final bit of snow on my property was finally gone. It was a stubborn little pile, long ago turned from fluffy snow to hard ice firmly cemented at the very end of my driveway. Created by the snow plow, it hovered at about 6 ft high reigning supreme through most of February and March. By mid April it was just a small pile, no longer white, blacked by exhaust and air. I would love to promise this is my last post about snow, but I cannot. Come October or November of this year, when those first fluffy flakes start to fall... my excitement, although now firmly extinguished, will undoubtedly... arise once again.

Visual Themes: A Touch Of Red by macpics

'When in doubt... wear red!'

Or, in the case of Melbourne photographer macpics, when naked, be surrounded by red! I have been featuring the work of Ian from macpics for awhile now, and often when doing multiple post of a photographer's work, visual themes arise. In many of Ian's shoots, some of my favorite shots were his placement of models in front of the deep red sheet of material he used.

Red is without a doubt one of the most eye catching colors. There is reason stop lights and stop signs and most logos and signs to indicate danger or emergency are colored in red. Red is also a color most synonymous with both life and death, heart, love and passion, and extreme anger and rage.

I love the dramatic effect Ian creates using the red material and the dramatic contrasts created with lighting, especially between the red back drop and the skin of whomever is in front of it. When I asked Ian about the theme he kind of laughed. Although he initially did love the color, and texture of the material, Ian shared he is getting a bit tired of using the same background. It is not as much a choice, but a necessity... at least for now.

Red has the ability however, to create drama and elegance, even if it is all just a charade. The red backdrop in these images, masterfully camouflages all that is behind, in front and around it. It doesn't matter whether the model is being shot in a huge warehouse, on a roof top, a hi-tech studio over looking over a Melbourne beach, or a tiny artist's apartment. All that matters is the model, their body and the touch of red.

A Seattle Weekend: Jake by Peter Rowen

'I love the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and figured a hot guy was one way to separate my nature shots from everyone else's.'

As many readers of FH know that one of my favorite models to feature has been Brandon Connelly. Back in 2012, while I was working on an interview for the blog, Brandon sent on some his work with Seattle photographer Peter Rowen. I loved Peter's images, especially his incredible portraits Brandon. (HERE:) I have kept my eye on Peter's work after seeing his recent work with thejakemartin was inspired to get in touch with him again.

Peter found Jake on ModelMayhem while searching for male models in his area. Peter was surprised that given how amazing looking Jake was, he had only one shoot featured in his MM portfolio. Jake headed to Seattle for a weekend of shooting and Peter was impressed with both how skilled and professional he was to work with. 'I got lucky; he conducted himself like a seasoned pro, taking direction well and offering great input too. Not only that, but he was a pleasant guy, easy to be around for the whole weekend. It's a shame that there isn't more work for him in his own area, but it was worth it to bring him to mine.'

Peter did an incredible job capturing Jake's long lean and body, especially when surrounded by the majesty of the Pacific Northwest. The began shooting in studio, then ventured outside around Peter's studio before heading up the trails towards the nearby mountains. In addition to his professionalism and creativity, Peter was impressed with Jake's common sense and ability to come up with solutions whenever there was a blip or difficulty during their work together.. Several times throughout whiles shooting, including an some uncooperative rubber-ball props, Jake was able to problem solve the problem quickly, enabling Peter to focus on getting the shots.

For Jake, it was an incredible adventure. Flying to a new destination, embracing a city's culture and connecting with nature. 'I've never felt so alive and free spirited!' Jake arrived in Seattle after a long window gazing flight and after finding his way out of the mouse maze he calls Sea-Tac International Airport, Peter picked him up and they began their journey towards the mountains. Although he was meeting Peter for the first time, he could instantly see how much love and passion he had for photography. It was reassuring for Jake to know instantly he made the right choice to to take the trip, and the leap of faith. For the next hour as they drove to Lake Talapus, they bounced shoot ideas back and forth and figured out the itinerary for the weekend.

'Lake Talapus was gorgeous! Flowing streams with beautiful cascading waterfalls made it easy for Pete and I to get some amazing shots. Being a bit of a adrenaline junky, I had no problem trekking to Boulders in the middle of the stream or climbing up huge falling trees. After a 4 mile hike, we made it to Lake Talapus. What a serene view! Truly breath-taking. Around this time, Pete asked me "how many photos do you think I've taken?" not sure at all, I guess around 100. Pete smirked, "we are closer to 500!" That's incredible being that this was our first stop on my trip.'

'The next morning, we drove out near index mountain to Haybrook lookout tower. This trail was my favorite! So rich and vivid with Moss' covering every tree and Boulder. I felt like I was in a nature documentary! haha. I fell in love and felt a deep connection with this place. At the top, all you can see is the vast mountain ranges connecting. So surreal! Definitely one of the best moments in my life. I couldn't be happier with how everything went in Seattle. Pete is a great photographer and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. I hope to make it out there again soon!'

'Often, people as pretty as Jake are haughty or snooty or think they're better than everyone. With Jake, nothing could be further from the truth. He's such a genuinely friendly, warm, easygoing guy that it's hard to believe he's also so, well, hunky is the word you'd have to use. He's got a handsome face and a great gym body, but a discussion of Jake Martin isn't complete until you talk about his hair. He's got it under the care of a stylist at a salon in Omaha, and he fixed it himself however I wanted it for the shoot. We had it a little wilder for the shoots in the forest and a little tamer for the studio shoots, and he did a great job of keeping it all in place. And man, does it look great'!

Eight Days Of The Week: Saturday

$

0

Friday proved the most difficult night so far. I don't tend to watch much television on Friday nights so the pickings were slim. Since beginning Eight Days, the networks had their up fronts and many of the shows I chose from have been cancelled. I am still including shows from the 2014/2015 schedule so even though Heart Of Dixie and Glee are now off the schedule, their actors are still included. So, without further adieu, here are my favorite hunks from Friday's Prime Time line-up!

David Muir: 20/20

I have not watched 20/20 in years. When I was younger, it was a staple for my family on Friday nights. Maybe it was Barbara Walters over load, or maybe it was that news magazines have been so sensationalized they have become pretty much unwatchable. David Muir could lure me back however, with his perfect cheek bones, maybe too perfect, and great smile. Television news seems to always push one hunk at a time and currently, it is Muir wearing the crown.

Wilson Bethel in Heart Of Dixie

I love me some Wilson Bethel and have posted about him several times before on FH. That being said, I have yet to catch a second of Heart Of Dixie. The show was recently cancelled, so might be a future Netflix pic. I first saw Bethel years ago on Y & R and was instantly in lust. Sadly, the soap didn't see what they had and sadly wasted him, but prime time quickly scooped him up.

David Giuntoli in Grimm

Grimm is another show I have not watched a second of but whenever I see David Giuntoli in the promos I give pause to adding it to my DVR. Giuntoli has a presence though, an attractive, welcoming yet safe presence, much like Mark Harmon and Richard Dean Anderson. I think he will be a part of many televisions shows to come in the future.

Giuntoli stripping in Road Rules

Chord Overstreet in Glee

If FH had regulars, Chord Overstreet would be near the top of the list. I have covered the Glee actor more times than I can count. Incredibly hot, incredibly appealing, Chord was one of the few bright spots in Glee's declining last couple of years. I did record and watch the Glee series finale, but still have the rest of it's last season hanging stubbornly on my DVR. Maybe I will watch them over the summer, maybe they will get deleted unwatched. Either way, despite it's downward turn, Glee, it's first two and half seasons, had a powerful impact on me with many great moments and memories.

Scott Caan in Hawaii Five-0

Again, not seen a second of Hawaii Five-0, but man have I lusted after Scott Caan. One of the best butts in the business and such sexual energy and appeal. I am not sure how much they utilize it on Hawaii, but in some of his movie roles it is quite powerful.

Toy Boy: Westopher by RAW Photography

'I've known Robert for awhile, but never shot with him. It was funny running around naked while he was trying to set up. There's a point you stop trying to cover up cause they're gonna see it all anyway. But you know, art...so whatever.'

I am not sure there is anything more powerful than board games, or the smell of new plastic on a toy on a birthday or at Christmas, to instantly transport us emotionally back to our childhood. Although we all had different childhood experience, almost everyone; no matter how happy or painful growing up was, no matter how much money your family had; or where and when you grew up, remember playing board games like Sorry, Risk or Trouble. I think that feel, the universal retro memory we all share, is one of the reasons I love this series of images so much.

Model, celebrity trainer and wellness consultant Westopher embodies the humor, goofiness and fun perfectly in this shoot from RAW Photography. The shoot actually took place just after Westophers move to a new apartment in WeHo. There were boxes of stuff everywhere, it looked like piles of garbage, making it just trashy enough for the shoot.

'As for the shoot coming together, we knew we wanted something sort of dirty and messy. Nothing too pretty. Robert does a lot of shoots in alleyways and dive bars. I thought it would be fun to use my mess as a "set" to play with. Overflowing boxes, random furniture and toys, it looked like a junk pile. My junk pile. King of the junk!'

With no formal photography experience, RAW Photography's Robert loves to photograph men in their rawest form...naked of course! Robert doesn't shoot in a studio, nor does use any special effects, special lighting or a fancy camera. What Robert does use, is his imagination, creativity and an eye for what he finds sexy and attractive. Although that eye is not as sharp as it used to be, Robert continues to shoot despite the fact he is losing his eyesight. It always fascinates me how sharp and precise the work of artists with vision loss can be. Robert pick ups small details and texture within his work many other photographers may nor notice or ignore.

The detail and retro feel is one of the reasons I love this set so much. Anther reason is of course Westopher. The West Hollywood model so beautifully, and so naturally, weaves the incredibly sexy with the incredibly goofy. Westopher (Wes) has a great look and could just stick to shpwing off his hot lean body with some typical male model stoic facial expressions. Nah... Wes enjoys his work and has too much energy for that and brings that joy through his attitude and expressive green eyes, mouth and facial expressions.

In addition to getting naked and having fun in front of the camera, Wes works hard to maintain not just his physical health, but mental health as well. On his website, WesFerguson.com, you can learn more about his work as a personal trainer and wellness consultant as well as check out more images of the results of all his work. You can also sign up for his free newsletter to receive both a workout, and a recipe each month.
